Stanley Cup Playoffs Thread: Kings win 2nd Cup in 3 seasons (3 Viewers)

Wings looking pretty good so far against a tough Bruins team.
They understand the pressure, they were in the Calder Cup at this point last year. :)
Heh. This is how I had myself talked into the Lightning. These kids won like 28 straight in Syracuse last year.
Tampa is going to be built like Detroit. Might not be your year this year, but your time will come. Hard to see winning anything with Lindsback as your goalie, I didn't even hold him in a 16 team league this year he was so bad.

It baffles me that the Bruins had the fewest power play opportunities in the league and still finished with the best record.

Wings might be outplaying the B's through two. Bruins had the best 3rd period goal differential in the regular season and Detroit was among the worst. Hoping that holds up.

That's because the Wings like giving up two goal leads. As long as they don't get up two, it's all good. :)

Yea I really hate him. He's been ok this series though, Tampa D has gotten steamrolled.

Announcers basically said no chance Bishop is playing in this series. Hope it's not a sweep.
I don't see how it isn't. This should have been a 3-4 goal rout in game 1 as well. Bishop covered up a lot of these defensive letdowns all year; no chance these tools can.

Let's be honest, would Bishop have made that much of a difference to this point? Montreal has controlled the play throughout and Lindback wasn't that bad tonight. Bishop came way back down to earth since the Olympic break. It's a wash IMO.

A wash? :lmao: Bishop hasn't been great since the all-star break partially because his first half was unrealistic, this crappy D has let him get fired on like this for 3 months straight and Cooper never gave him a day off.

They wouldn't beat Montreal with him either, but he'd be better than this.

It's been a mismatch for sure, but Bishop can steal games. Losing Palat was pretty big today.

I'm not really in the mood to argue over dumb ####. Bishop is far better than Lindback and can steal games. Lindback is awful.

well yeah, worlds better. I'm a big Bishop guy too. I'm just saying at this point it doesn't matter and Lindback hasn't been completely terrible for the last couple weeks and I'm pretty sure you'd agree.I get it though, always sucks to say what if with key guys injured. Bishop could have changed this series, I just don't think it would have mattered.

Yea he was fine winding down the year and even thought he was pretty decent game 1. He got worked over pretty good tonight though, seems like one BB could have stole.Team is clearly inferior so far though.

I'd posted a day or two ago that the prospect of facing Datsyuk made me nauseated. Now, ironically, I literally am and it has nothing to do with hockey.

GG, Detroit and Detroit fans. See you for Game Two.
