Was talking with my BIL this morning and we had a discussion about Henrik. As great as Henrik is (and I know I suggested trading him in the season thread, no one needs to bump it), he does have a history of disappearing every once and a while in big games.

Both were times where he clearly should have made saves and didnt.
He should have saved the second through fourth goals last night. They were routine saves from a guy that makes incredible saves. He has stepped up big after being pulled before, most recently in round 1 so Im not concerned. I will be concerned if they can not win tomorrow night. I am trying to not be a pessimistic homer, but I just dont see them going into Montreal in game 7 after blowing two 2 game leads and winning there.

Some ballsy and, in my opinion, correct calls by the referrees last night. I wasn't a big fan of all the calls, but they sure weren't afraid to go off the table:
- Plekanec embellishment.
- Holding on Bouillion when Montreal already short a man
- Goalie interference when Zuccarello shoved the Montreal D-man (can't recall his name) into his own goalie - i.e.Tokarski
- 5 minute major for Moore
- Goalie interference when Gorges shoved the Ranger (can't recall his name) into his own goalie - i.e.Tokarski, (I don't recall a time that I've seen it called when you push a guy into your own goalie, but at least it wasn't called goaltender interference)
That game was just stupid, almost an epic Leaf-style collapse.

He's been standing on his head. I'm not worried. But I agree. Not wanting to touch a game 7 at all at this point even though my initial thought was that this would go 7.
On HNiC they said that was the 4th time he has been pulled in a series-clinching game. He'll bounce back and at the very worst can continue his Mr. Game 7 legend if things don't go his way Thursday.

I know what HNIC means here in the states and its not a great thing. What is it up by you out of curiosity.

Diaz will be fine as a fill in for Moore. Dorsett adds a little toughness and digs out pucks from the boards but doesnt add much of anything else. Rangers may even get a boost in offense from Fast or Lindberg on that fourth line

No doubt that Game 6 will be Game 7 for the Rangers. If they can't close it out on home ice, I see little chance of them winning it at the Forum (I know it's the Bell Centre, but just seems unnatural).
Just too bad they couldn't have gone to the Finals 20 years to the day of Matteau.

Sure they can and have, but highly doubt they will in a Game 7 situation. They will be a demoralized team if they lose Game 6 at home.
Of course, this is a typical Chicken Little feeling among Ranger fans: brace yourself for the worst so you don't get crushed like usual.

Moore got a match, not a game, so it's more serious. I think he gets 5 at a minimum, considering the series goings-on.

Did you see the hit? Unless its mandatory to get 5 as a minimum, there is no way he gets more than Prust got (2 games). The hit was less after the whistle than with Prust's hit, the damage was less (even though I believe it should be based more on the intent) and it didn't appear that Moore brought his elbow up to the head - whereas Prust did go for the head.

My point is not so much the severity of the hit, but that it came after the Krieder, Carcillo and Prust incidents when the league is undoubtedly increasingly focused on further transgressions .

1st tie breaker is "Regulation + Overtime Wins". It gives teams who win games an edge over teams who pile up loser points in OT/shootouts.

I think it diminishes the value of SO wins.
Both MTL and NYR have identical records--46-28-8 but Montreal has a ROW of 40 and NYR's ROW is 38.
ROW is defined as regulation wins + OT wins which means that Montreal had 2 more non-SO wins than NYR.
