On HNiC they said that was the 4th time he has been pulled in a series-clinching game. He'll bounce back and at the very worst can continue his Mr. Game 7 legend if things don't go his way Thursday. Was talking with my BIL this morning and we had a discussion about Henrik. As great as Henrik is (and I know I suggested trading him in the season thread, no one needs to bump it), he does have a history of disappearing every once and a while in big games.
2009 Game 5 vs Washington
2012 Game 5 vs Devils
Both were times where he clearly should have made saves and didnt.
He should have saved the second through fourth goals last night. They were routine saves from a guy that makes incredible saves. He has stepped up big after being pulled before, most recently in round 1 so Im not concerned. I will be concerned if they can not win tomorrow night. I am trying to not be a pessimistic homer, but I just dont see them going into Montreal in game 7 after blowing two 2 game leads and winning there.
I know what HNIC means here in the states and its not a great thing. What is it up by you out of curiosity. On HNiC they said that was the 4th time he has been pulled in a series-clinching game. Diaz will be fine as a fill in for Moore. Dorsett adds a little toughness and digs out pucks from the boards but doesnt add much of anything else. Rangers may even get a boost in offense from Fast or Lindberg on that fourth lineMontreal has some confidence now especially with Henrik showing some chinks. If NY loses Moore and Dorsett, that will be an additional boost for the Habs. And then they get Prust back.
Don't get me wrong, NY still has the advantage but this series is far from over.
love when Eddie takes shots at Pierre, who always just takes it. good stuff.Pierre and Eddie have battled a couple of times tonight.
Eddie just called out Pierre for saying something stupid about NHL goalies that don't battle.![]()

No doubt that Game 6 will be Game 7 for the Rangers. If they can't close it out on home ice, I see little chance of them winning it at the Forum (I know it's the Bell Centre, but just seems unnatural).I will be concerned if they can not win tomorrow night. I am trying to not be a pessimistic homer, but I just dont see them going into Montreal in game 7 after blowing two 2 game leads and winning there.
Yep.Line on tomorrow's Habs/Rags game is +162/-172. Does that seem off to anyone?
Sure they can and have, but highly doubt they will in a Game 7 situation. They will be a demoralized team if they lose Game 6 at home. They have two games to win one and, while it is certainly not the ideal situation, they can absolutely win in Montreal. Did it twice this series already; rather handily in fact. They are 3-2 in the Forum this season, including playoffs.
Moore got a match, not a game, so it's more serious. I think he gets 5 at a minimum, considering the series goings-on.Pretty bad precedent when you can get away with a head-butt. Guess it should not surprise me.
I think Moore gets 1 game, Would have been 2 except he got the 5 minute/game misconduct penalties so they'll consider that and give him 1.
Did you see the hit? Unless its mandatory to get 5 as a minimum, there is no way he gets more than Prust got (2 games). The hit was less after the whistle than with Prust's hit, the damage was less (even though I believe it should be based more on the intent) and it didn't appear that Moore brought his elbow up to the head - whereas Prust did go for the head.Moore got a match, not a game, so it's more serious. My point is not so much the severity of the hit, but that it came after the Krieder, Carcillo and Prust incidents when the league is undoubtedly increasingly focused on further transgressions .Did you see the hit? Full schedule:Finals start a week from today (Wed, June 4th)
might have a long break if the Hawks and Habs can't extend their series.
Ooof. I won't be in a good tv watching location for any of these dates except game 1. Might be leaning on this thread for massive updates.Full schedule:Finals start a week from today (Wed, June 4th)

Never feels good to have one go in and get a goal-scorer going, but it's what they needed.
LA finished tied with Montreal but lost the tiebreaker. They were ahead of the Rangers.Do the Kings get home ice against any of the EC teams left?
Yes vs the Rags.Do the Kings get home ice against any of the EC teams left?
1st tie breaker is "Regulation + Overtime Wins". It gives teams who win games an edge over teams who pile up loser points in OT/shootouts.Yes vs the Rags.Do the Kings get home ice against any of the EC teams left?
They had the exact same record as the Habs but apparently lose the tie breaker--dunno what tie breaker.
Glad I overestimated it, but doesn't help this series. My point is not so much the severity of the hit, but that it came after the Krieder, Carcillo and Prust incidents when the league is undoubtedly increasingly focused on further transgressions .Did you see the hit? I think it diminishes the value of SO wins.1st tie breaker is "Regulation + Overtime Wins". It gives teams who win games an edge over teams who pile up loser points in OT/shootouts.Yes vs the Rags.Do the Kings get home ice against any of the EC teams left?

it's in the standings as ROW right after Points.
you're right. my bad.I think it diminishes the value of SO wins.
Both MTL and NYR have identical records--46-28-8 but Montreal has a ROW of 40 and NYR's ROW is 38.
ROW is defined as regulation wins + OT wins which means that Montreal had 2 more non-SO wins than NYR.
