Traitors watchers:

Just binged the uk seasons on a few flights for work. Love it. I assume the UK seasons are the best? Can’t imagine the others being better given how this show is so built for UK sensibilities.

Which country should I go to next? Hesitate to go with US as it has reality stars but am in your hands.

Lastly, the “seer” twist ruined the game. They should light that on fire.

Cheers and thanks for any suggestions.
Australia 1, New Zealand 2 and Canada 2 are my favorite non-US or UK seasons.

Australia 1 has an incredible cast and episode 9 is an all-timer.

New Zealand 2 may be my favorite season overall. Outstanding gameplay (save for a few idiot faithful that we see every season), interesting contestants, and some decisions we have never seen in any other version. Beware that the first episode spoils the results of New Zealand 1.

Canada 2 has hilariously terrible gameplay. If you watch Survivor, it’s the equivalent of Survivor 46.

Of the others:

New Zealand 1 is good, but the cast is mostly D- and F-list celebrities and many of them know each other, so it feels like a parlor game.

Canada 1 is similar to Canada 2 but not as good. It was the first season to broadcast discussion of the meta-game.

Australia 2 is unique because its second half is a total sh!tshow but the ending is satisfying, so don’t give up if you get frustrated, and you will.

I watched Canada 1 and 2, thanks to you. I actually liked 1 almost as much as 2. I still have not watched your fave, NZ 2.

US 3 is shaping up to be outstanding right now.
Watching Canada 1 right now. Not nearly as good as any UK season with respect to the host, cast and overall aesthetic. The gameplay is laughably bad at times. Rick Campanelli ( longtime host of MuchMusic - Canada's MTV) may be the dumbest player I have seen yet, and that is really saying something. Not done the season yet, but it's been all downhill since Fierce left.
Keep going, as is inherent to the format, the ending is compelling.

Rick Campanelli is a genius compared to some of the people on Canada 2. But they're hilariously dumb.
Watching season 2. It is spectacular. Genius casting. Tranna and Melinda are pure gold.

I howled when Tranna said,
in confessional, "I know I'm playing terribly so don't send me any DMs about it."

Traitors US 3 episode 6:

I can't believe Boston Rob is still in the game. He's doing everything you shouldn't as a traitor -- being loud at the roundtable, murdering people who have openly accused him -- and still isn't getting banished. He got a huge assist this episode from Wes, who own-goaled himself out of the game. "If you vote for me, I'm coming after you" may be the dumbest thing anyone has ever said at any roundtable. No one wants to play with someone who's going to make the game about personal vendettas. This was on top of the toxic masculinity he was displaying during strategic discussions and earlier in the roundtable. He thought he could brute-force his way to a win like he did on The Challenge. But the Traitors doesn't work that way. You have to develop alliances and give others a reason not to vote you out. By contrast, Boston Rob has aligned himself with some of the quieter people and is listening to them, or at least making them think he is. People are sticking up for him, whether it's because they think he is truly on their side, or whether it's because they think he's a traitor and are waiting until the end to boot him.

I love how the edit is clowning on Sandoval, going out of its way to show how none of the other contestants are taking him seriously. He'll probably go far because he's obviously too dumb to pull off being a traitor, and he has zero clue so there is no reason for the traitors to murder him.

We have seen traitor-on-traitor violence but this season may be the first case of traitor-on-traitor-on-traitor violence. The three of them can't stand each other and it's hilarious.

This was a top-tier episode, as was episode 4. Probably the best 2 episodes we have seen in the US version.

Agree with all of this. And these traitors are the worst and most hilarious group ever. One thing to add to your synopsis:
Although he's abhorrent, Wes's goodbye speech was my favorite on any season anywhere.

Both are major reasons why episodes 4 and 6 of this season are the best we have seen from Traitors US.

Nobody Wants This was decent, will watch season 2 when it comes out
100%

We really enjoyed it.
Great light hearted comedy as a chaser after you watch a dramatic show and want a laugh.
And Kristen Bell isn’t hard on the eyes.
The older brother cracks me up

I got chicken parm / And my family’s gone / And I’m gonna eat some weed / Everything is better when my family’s gone / And I’m gonna watch TV.”

Recruit season 2 (Netflix) - not as good as season 1, but it’s well paced and is pretty actiony.

It’s what Night Agent is trying to be. (I also concur with the sentiment that Night Agent season 2 is borderline unwatchable. It’s really bad).

I just started watching S1. It's fun. Lead actor sells the role, however implausible it all is.

I'm surprised there isn't more Severance talk in here. Just finished season one, looking forward to the rest.

I'm waiting until Season 2 is complete to watch. Very excited for it but don't think I could take a week-to-week wait.
Strongly suggest watching season 1 again before going to 2. With the delay between the seasons, we had forgotten a few key things. Still felt fresh. Love this show.

He’s the key. If we don’t buy into him, the whole thing falls apart.

I have a similar formula but sometimes I don't follow it that closely since sometimes 6+ movies can be bad or a less than 6 can be good.

The Terror is streaming on Max. Older but hadn’t watched it before. Dark and brutal but really well done. Good acting.
Are you sure it's on Max? Can't find it. I wanted to see it but don't have Netflix anymore but I've seen a few new shows that might make it worth getting it again.

Sorry, yeah looks like it was Netflix. Only 1 season but not really sure how there is more than 1 . Wraps up in the 10 episodes.

Each season is a new story.

watched Uprising on Netflix today. beautiful scenery. great costuming. didn't feel like it was predictable or formulaic like a lot of Hollywood movies. definitely enjoyed.

wife and i are also slogging through The Madness. it's bad. feels like it had a chance to be interesting but it's just bad. the main actor's inability to close his mouth bothers me way more than it should. it's so distracting.

Okay, not the zombie movie that goes way over the top. Some generic show/movie names confuse me.

The Perfect Couple - 5/10 (Mrs. Woz votes 4/10*).

I liked the duration of this show in that it's only a few episodes and stuff doesn't drag on. However, while not boring (so on my personal scale that makes it at like a 5/10 as I didn't turn it off at any point) the show misses its intended mark on what it wants to be. The show tries to be a cross between White Lotus - where a bunch of rich ignorant ******** engage in debauchery in a beautiful setting without much consequence - and a Harlan Coben story - where generally affluent families are upended by a murder mystery and everybody seems like a suspect until the killer is eventually revealed. Since the latter type of story does have some emotion and moral undertones, I don't think it works to combine it with the agnostic approach of White Lotus.

The acting was good at times but a lot of the actors also overacted at points. I like Schreiber in his role but his character was intentionally unlikeable. Kidman ranged from good to just eye-rollingly over the top and she seemed like a caricature of an actual person . The actress playing the bride-to-be gives me the jumpy&quo and I enjoyed her scenes but I wasn't all that interested in the other actors as, in contrast to White Lotus, the show didn't run long enough to flesh out their nuances and make them interesting. The groom-to-be was probably the only character with redeeming qualities but they didn't really do anything with his character.

Overall, I wasn't bored and some of the scenery and scenes were visually enjoyable so I won't go as far to tell anybody not to watch, but there's no real meaningful plot and the writing isn't good enough to enjoy it as some sort of Dionysian dive into the world of wealth and agnosticism.

*Mrs. Woz learned I give show ratings on my "nerd board" and now wants to give her input.
Yeah, this show kind of sucks. I also like Eve Hewson (Bono's Daughter) but she is totally wasted here. Her character barely figures into what is going on. And the tone completely changes in the last episode and half. How they attracted all of these actors I'll never figure out.
I didn't know she's Bono's daughter. She's definitely my "type."
I would like to check this out because the Cape Cod town where my extended family stays every summer posed as Nantucket during the filming. Some of the scenes take place in a shopping complex I've been going to since I was a child. Even if it sucks, it's only 6 episodes.
Finally got to it this weekend. It's White Lotus lite, but easily bingeable and with great scenery. Kidman's character didn't really make any sense until the final episode. I really liked Schriever's acting and character, though. He's a scumbag but such an AFFABLE one -- you can see why he gets away with being who he is and doing what he does.

Fleabag on Amazon prime is so interesting.
Loved Fleabag
Loved season 1. Never got back to season 2. Worth it?

I don't want to oversell it, so I won't rehash all my previous praise on season 2. But I can't imagine anyone liking season 1 not finding season 2 fantastically amazing television.

Whatever season that has the episode that takes place in the restaurant with the family at dinner is the best. That might be the single best episode of a comedy show of all time.

Cutting my losses after two episodes of Night Agent season 2. Completely uninteresting.
You'll be glad to know that you missed some bad, silly episodes and it's perfectly set up for a Season 3.

"I just want to say from the bottom of my heart that I'm sorry I killed your family. They didn't deserve that. But for right now you just have to trust me."
*grabs person and drags them along*
"Hey Rose, come on, we gotta go!"
"Hold on, I just hacked Interpol's database using the TCP/IP of the dry cleaners across the street"
*they all stop*
Bad casting
Worse writing
Lazy directing

We started, got hooked by the 1st ep, and unhooked by about the 2nd or 3rd. Not long enough to notice the fly catching.

Binged The Penguin on a couple flights early this week. Damn, Colin Farrell was awesome in this role. Wasn’t expecting to, but absolutely loved this series.

my favorite of the year I think.
Just finished this and loved it. Fantastic acting and character development. A few times in the last couple of eps that I had to suspend disbelief but overall great and stuck the landing. You do not have to have seen The Batman to enjoy this.

About Traitors, should I (or do I need to) start with season 1? Or can I jump right into season 3?
Each Season is independent of another. Same general format across all the nations with some small differences.

Traitors UK did make a major-ish change (The Seer) in season 3 that you would notice being absent going backwards.
Another subtle change you may see are the 'reveal or don't reveal' at the end of the game.
Or the editing tends to get better over time on all reality shows - # of times you see a non-Traitor participant may mean something (or not).
