Whatever you do, DO NOT star the Hunting Wives. It's like Charlie Sheen's waning crack. It's horrible for me, the effects are waning and I can't stop myself from watching. I'll be done by tonight.

I enjoyed all three with Severance as my preferred - though the "good" Bear episodes are probably pinnacle TV. But you can't really go wrong with Slow Horses either.I will soon pick up a new series and looking at one with a few seasons under their belt. Severance, Slow Horses and The Bear seem to be the most acclaimed. I'm open to other suggestions as well because there are just too many damn shows spread out across networks to keep up with.
Note: I watched 2 random episodes of The Bear and thought it was mid at best. Still can't get over the tomato sauce can season finale![]()
The Staircase is a personal favorite of mine because I had a case with very similar facts and circumstances (we, thankfully, won at trial). But, this documentary does a nice job with a tough case.I have very much enjoyed The Night Manager on, I think, Amazon Prime.
And I'm about to wrap up The Staircase on HBO Max. Also very enjoyable.
Two goodies here folks.

Gen V has been hit/miss so far, but I'm enamored with that universe so I'll probably give it a watch.
Did not know it was back. Looks like first 3 episodes? I will probably finish up The Institute then watch a couple of episodes this weekendGen V has been hit/miss so far, but I'm enamored with that universe so I'll probably give it a watch.
Jason Bateman playing a character with a dysfunctional family, huh?Black rabbit comes out tomorrow on netflix, Jason Bateman and Jude Law. IN
Set against the backdrop of New York City's high-pressure nightlife scene, two brothers are pushed to the brink by their duty to family and their pursuit of success. Jake Friedken is the charismatic owner of Black Rabbit, a restaurant and VIP lounge, poised to become the hottest spot in New York. But when his brother Vince returns to the business unexpectedly, trouble soon follows; opening the door to old traumas and new dangers that threaten to bring down everything they've built. Sometimes an unbreakable bond between two brothers can shatter their world, and everything in its orbit.
It popped up on my Prime timeline but thought it was just them pushing it, didn't realize there was a new season

Looking forward to checking this out this weekend - thanks for the reminderWatched the Charlie Sheen doc on Netflix. Couple things:
His father was put through the ringer time after time. Time after time he showed his son love. Tough.
His drug dealer friend that took that heroic stance to slowly weaken the strength of Charlie's crack was absolutely hilarious. His tone was he was like being fireman heroic. Charlie ends up thanking him for his heroism. Ha ha
Charlie was a mess for that tiger blood stretch. Just brutal to watch people riding that out.
Did anyone watch a show called Lie to Me? It has an 8.0 score on IMDB. To be fair, I'm only on episode 2 but so far it only seems like an ok show and not something that's amazing.
he is great, yesBut Tim Roth rules.
My wife and I watched the first few seasons years ago as a sort of backup when nothing else is on. I'd rate it a 7.Did anyone watch a show called Lie to Me? It has an 8.0 score on IMDB. To be fair, I'm only on episode 2 but so far it only seems like an ok show and not something that's amazing.
There's a container ship stuck in the same spot. https://www.vesselfinder.com/?imo=9546459The Terror is streaming on Netflix. Older but hadn’t watched it before. Dark and brutal but really well done. Good acting.
It was entertaining. I think I had it in my list for the top 300 shows thread the FFA did awhile back.Did anyone watch a show called Lie to Me? It has an 8.0 score on IMDB. To be fair, I'm only on episode 2 but so far it only seems like an ok show and not something that's amazing.
Funny. I'm rewatching it now. It's not great - a serial bad guy of the week type thing. But Tim Roth rules. He's so great - he makes the show.
Watched the first episode, man, that was bleak. Really well done but human nature sucks lol.half way through episode 1 of black rabbit, whoa I hope it can maintain this pace

Planning to start it tonight - really looking forward to it.
Absolutely rules if the next 5 episodes are as good as the first 2, it will be one of HBOs best limited series ever. Deserves it own thread probably. In on Task
easily the best series going right now IMHO
likely top 5 for the year
Task is really good.
To be fair, Task is probably better than anything else that will air this year. It's a high bar.Task is really good.
A few episodes in to both and right now Task > Black Rabbit

Just 2. I am very invested- what are they going to do about the kid? Who is the rat? Who is the mole? How ugly is thos home life situation with Ruffalo going to get? It's been pitch perfect so far IMO.To be fair, Task is probably better than anything else that will air this year. It's a high bar.Task is really good.

Are there more than two episodes out?
Those first two eps are fine, but Im not getting the same response to them as you.

Marlin Perkins is back?!I started the series Animal Kingdom. It's been entertaining with a few decent storylines and common threads between episodes that keeps me interested. Over the top for sure but has a bit of a Point Break feel at times.
