$200 - is not enough  plugged in my choices thinking I was being conservative at first pass and was at $306 :hot: I need to go review all the sleeper articles again ;)

I just added a Players Value Sheet so you guys can print it out and study it on your bathroom breaks.I still think the Final where one guy gets $15,000 and the loser gets a lifetime subscription (worth about $100) might be a tad bit intense. Best of luck everyone.

I purposely made it tough. Everyone gets about 1 stud, 5 good players and the rest marginal players. This should seperate the better fantasy players in my opinion. At the conclusion of the entry process, I will recap what percentage of people chose certain players.

Which is more valuable

Knock yourself out, Fellas. One of our subscribers is taking home $15,000 for playing Fantasy Football.J

Employees and immediate family members of Footballguys.com, its sponsors, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies are not eligible to win prizes.
Would my "cousin" JAYson Wood, who happens to live in my house, mysteriously is exempt from paying taxes, has no social security number, but DOES have his own subscription be considered immediate family? ;)Cheers

Are you suggesting I'm only going to live another 5 years?

Umm, that would be "no", Jason / Woodrow / Elwood. Sorry Bro.J

Highest score (Choose the highest points scored by an NFL team this week)Lowest score (Choose the lowest points scored by an NFL team this week)Average score (Choose the average points scored by all NFL team's this week)Will this be submitted in advance of the season?

SAAAWWWWWEEEEEETT job guys and out early enough that there's enough time to completely study up on the best team for this type of format.

I thought I read somewhere... maybe from Chris?... that Blogger reporters ARE eligible. This says employees are not. So, are Blogger reporters able to participate?

"Residents of Arizona, Florida, Maryland, Montana, North Dakota, Puerto Rico, Vermont, and the province of Quebec may play and have their places noted in the standings, but are not eligible to win any prizes. This game is open to legal residents of all other states of the United States, and provinces of Canada."Now wouldn't that be a kick in the pants to have your place noted as #1 in lieu of $15,000.

My team is stacked. I hit 200 on the nose. I'll be shocked if I don't do better here than I did in Survivor II - the ORINGAL version.which won't be hard.....as long as Shining Path plays.

Yes Blogger people can play. Just as freelance contributors can. Our lawyer has determined that you guys aren't "technically" employees. Gotta love all the lawyer jargon involved with these things.

Thanks.....that's pretty generous of you guys. :thumbup:One question, though, are we going to be able to view other people's teams? I think that if we are, there is going to be some copying.

Thanks J and DD, great idea.P.S. The proper spelling on the "payable to" line will be Bass N' Brew if you want to get a headstart on the paperwork. For tax purposes, should I be budgeting this as 2003 income or 2004?

Yes you need to fill that out when you fill out the form. The ties will only be for the Head 2 Head, but it could happen (likely with identical starting rosters). So if you guessed that the highest team would be 47 and your opponent guessed 75 and the highest score was by my Charger team at 96 points then you would lose.Hopefully none of these tiebreakers come in play. But once we get to 64 teams, we have to have a way to keep the tournament going forward. We thought this was slightly better than a coin flip.

Nope. Rosters are for your eyes only. We will close the contest on September 1st. The first anyone will see any other rosters is after week 1 when we trim to 8,000 rosters. Each of these rosters will be viewable on the website with what they scored in week 1 (as well as subsequent weeks). But since this is a Survivor format, the score won't matter much except to know you made the cut.You will not be able to modify your roster.

So let me get this straight. Because I live in Arizona....I can play..hell even win the thing..but I'm inelligable for the $$ and dont even get a trophy??? (Residents of Arizona, Florida, Maryland, Montana, North Dakota, Puerto Rico, Vermont, and the province of Quebec may play and have their places noted in the standings, but are not eligible to win any prizes.)Well listen when I win this thing I want you to ship the $15k and the trophy to Senator John McCain and tell him to enjoy because I wont be voting for his ### next time !! :D You could get my trophy to me by sending it to mexico and pay one of the thousands of illegal immigrants that cross our border here everyday bring it to me. THey would probably be happy to do that for $15K

Great contest! Technical Question: I get an error message in Netscape 6.0 saying I have selected the same RB twice when I hit submit. I don't have a duplicate listed at RB. I will try in another browser, but thought I'd pass it on.

It's listing Tie Breaker #3 as Lowest NFL score as instead of Average NFL score (at least in the edit entry screen.)

FBG's - You can thank me later. My lineup is destined to win it all ... matter of fact ... it can't lose. However, since I live in MD, you can keep the money. Thanks for the fun!JAA

Let's just say all I know about each of you is an email address right now. I am guessing the winner will not come from these retricted states when I contact them to award them $15,000 or not. Funny how things work out sometimes. :rotflmao:
TO ALL RESIDENTS OF BANNED STATES:If you guys manage to beat me (questionable with beginner's luck and all) I'm volunteering my status as a resident of a "winnings-allowed" state. For a MERE 35% cut of your $15k (pre-tax of course) I'll gladly accept the winnings on your behalf and tranfer the balance to your account  seroiusly tho....just make freinds with someone from a legal state and have them claim under your alias if you take it all home.....

Yea, it is going to consume a lot of time to perfect this, but it is pretty damn awesome. Thanks guys, this is the best site on the web. Still can't believe that you are giving away $15,000. That is top notch, your site definitely adds to the enjoyment of FF.

Im not sure it would be worth it. When this is done, I would not be surprised to see major publication sites pick this up. I would not want to get caught like that.If I won, I would -recommend- the money go to Charity.

I think its going to be way too cool. I cant imagine making it to where your at the point where your playing head to head.At that point will we know who the other individual is playing????? Anyway great job and best of luck to all.

just out of curiosity, are the "prices" for the players locked in, or is there a chance that some values will change? (i.e. Bettis ironically gets hit by a bus while crossing the street, breaking every bone in his body, putting him out for the season, so his value drops and Zereoue's skyrockets.)

It wasn't too hard getting under the cap. You have to pare down on the receiver and running back studs. . .

Interesting...trying to decide if it's worth going after one stud and having some shoddy guys in each other spot or going after a bunch of average guys with upside since it's a survivor style...and hope SOMEONE has a big week for ya each week ;)

You know what... This is such a stupid LAW. Please can someone tell me how OLD this law is, and WHY it holds any bearing on $$ prized contests or the right to participate in them. I mean comon... I live in Arizona where... GUESS WHAT!!!??? ... Yep we have casinos and the state lotto and even THE POWER BALL... isnt the Power Ball a $$$ lotto thats between several different states? :hot: I wanted to travel to Vegas this year and get in one of those BIG $$$ leauges. H2H (head2head) had a live draft there at one of the premier casinos, heh... but Nooooooo... I can't play in those games because of where I live. Oh and by the way... H2H is based out of AZ, Go Figure! This Law is STUPID. -=end of rant=-*Time to pack up the Wife and kids and move to the United States... Oh yea, I think I live there allready, or do I ?*

I can't believe I subscribed just to get into this contest. :wall: But the all the bonus info should be worth it. I'm at exactly 200. It's not too hard but there is several different ways to go about doing it.

This is an excellent question. I'm assuming they are locked in.I also agree with JAA (that's a first). It would be nice to see the rosters AFTER they are locked in. What is the harm in that? OR is it just not possible?

MIA = Adrian Peterson, Rattay
Also a few pass-catching third-down backs/fullbacks -- guys like B.Westbrook, Centers, Crockett, Holcombe are there, but Chad Morton and Richie Anderson aren't. Not sure what the logic is there, but at 1pt/rec I may want a guy like them as my RB#4.

Looks awesome, shouldn't be too dificult though I bet Jason Wood would disagree on CBuck costing more than Staley

It would be nice that when the linups are frozen, we can view everyone elses.
No way! Don't want anyone to be able to view mine or I will just have to share the $1500
