Amazing that there is over a 50% chance according to the sim of one of the top 2 (sim) teams winning the whole thing!I would've been safely buried by now as by my calculations my team would've had just 399.15 points at this stage.

I'm pretty much shocked by this as well. But has there ever been a week where the sim's number one or two projected team actually finished at #1? Obviously the cumulative points aspect affects things, giving the top teams a cushion while everyone else plays catch-up. And as the current favorite (by a mere 0.61%) I wouldn't want to trade places with anyone, as it appears my chances of winning are as good as one could hope for with only one week left to play. However, I fear the turk may have given me the kiss of death by listing me as a favorite. I'll gladly take it, but I have a feeling this weekend will actually be more difficult for me to endure because of the sim projection. When you're part of a larger pack chasing the leader, there is more of a feeling that you have nothing to lose and there is less of a letdown when things don't go your way. However, when you're favored and have a target on your back, it's easy to feel as though you actually have something to lose. Even though, if the sim is accurate, it's not much better than a 1 in 4 chance in reality.So I have to keep reminding myself that this was just a really fun contest to be a part of and that anything that comes from it is a pleasant surprise, and try not to think at all about the top prize money as though it's a real possibility. So thanks to Joe, and FBGs for continuing to reward your customers with this annual contest, and a special thank you to Doug for keeping up the excitement and interest with the weekly sims, projections, and contest facts. And on a personal note thanks for allowing me to enjoy an opportunity for at least a few days to feel like a top contestant out of the 13,000+ subscribers who originally submitted rosters (at least until the next sim comes out putting someone else in the driver's seat).

I seriously considered ADP due to his early bye week, but ultimately didn't like the possibility/probability that Favre wouldn't last the season and ADP could be facing stacked defenses during the final 250 weeks.

For what it's worth I'm rooting hard for Jason Witten and Marion Barber/Tashard Choice tonight...EDIT to add: I have Barber as well, but didn't bother to mention him because I wrongly assumed Choice would get more touches

108202. Currently in the top 25 and projected to finish around there too. Most of the top teams seem to have Witten who is one of the last elite TE's still standing and a huge edge at this point. I'll go as far as Vick takes me mainly. MB3 made sure my flex player will atleast be viable and Sanders for my WR3. Feely at PK and Big Ben at QB were both strong. It needs to come down to Gresham having a breakout week with all my other TE's out if I'm going to push any higher.

Not impossible with the Cincy WR situation. Gresham has been pretty good this year and I can totally see him snagging a TD in a red-zone situation. Good luck!-QG
A truly monster game from Gresham woulda been fun but I'll take a solid game out of nowhere. It put me at 170 with a miracle productive game from Camarillo unlikely to add to it at WR ... a big game from Vick topping over Big Ben feasible ... and Turner (or Snelling) outdoing MB3 which projects to put me over 180+. Too bad Jennings or Choice didn't outdo Foster but I suspect most will have him count today anyway. I can't see it being enough to hit top 10 but top 25 should be in reach.Overall I am happy with my 30 player strategy and 3 deep at QB/TE/PK/DT although a few of my selections could have been better.

I always shoot for 3 of each in any survivor format, though I'll cheat to 2 kickers if roster sizes are too limited.It won me the Staff/MB challenge a few years back when my third defense had a monster week. The return of Rodgers has me up to 199.70 with a possible bump from Berrian (-11.5) and a highly unlikely contribution from Matt Bryant (-23). Hmm 108202 ... needed more from Choice, Jennings, Turner, or Snelling this week at RB2 to push past 170 so I am at ~541. Calvin Johnson was a huge letdown too although others stepped up so it was really RB2 that killed my chances. Who knew MB3 would be my scoring RB2 this week yuck.
I've got Vick if he can outdo Big Ben (-28.2) and Camarillo if he can outdo James Jones (-13.6). Sounds like I need a 60 point Vick game to crack the top 10 unless Camarillo gets involved. Doable but unlikely as Vick scored 48 at the Giants and 60 at the Redskins. I am probably locked into the top 25 though.

I finished 49th.
My team was eerily consistent....scoring between 150 and 194 all 16 weeks, and scored between 160 and 194 for 15 of the 16 weeks. That's great for getting to the big dance, but......unfortunately, my team couldn't get hot at the end, and most of my great players were commonly owned.

Congrats to the winners! Didn't really sniff the leaderboard at all, but still a respectable 92nd place finish. Feeling pretty good about finishing in the cash 3 out of 5 years, and making it relatively deep the other 2. Hopefully things stay pretty similar for next year!

I agree. You want a stud QB and a cheap backup....in this case the best strategy was to get Big Ben as the backup and gamble that your stud QB will be solid for the first 5 weeks. Rodgers did that for the winning entry. The winners RB depth wasn't great due to Spiller being a complete bust, but Bradshaw, Foster and LT were solid, and R Jennings helped him at the end.Winner did great at the WR position. AJ was nicked up a lot in the year, but was money when he played, and was huge for weeks 14-15. Most of his cheap WRs helped out at various points of the year.......like Mike Williams, Branch, James Jones and Crayton, and made up for Berrian and L Robinson being busts. Shows that you need a lot of depth at WR due to the inconistent nature of the position and since some WRs will bust.Winner nailed his TEs...Witten is money in this format and the combo of Hernandez/Gronkowski gave him a solid flex score in many weeks for just a $7 price tag. Many cheap TEs were good contributors like Watson and Pettigrew and Gresham. At 1.5 points per reception....you can't blow this position and be competitive in the end. If Gates, D Clark and Finley didn't get hurt, we could have had a much different scenario..............He was pretty fortunate with his kickers......usually need 3 or 4 to insure a solid score every week. But Janikowski was money and Graham picked up the slack when needed. You need to gamble somewhere, the winner did at the K position and was rewarded.Winner had 2 average Ds. Shows that Ds is pretty much a crapshoot. Would like to see fantasy points awarded for points allowed. That would make one think about paying a little extra for a good defense. With the scoring system, you're better off taking 3 mid-priced to cheap defenses, and avoiding the Jets/Steelers. I saw that in most of the teams at the top.....they had defenses priced $5 and less.Congrats to the winner......overall he had a great team.
