I went to THE Cabo Wabo! Hung out for a couple hours, saw the most talented yet utterly joyless cover band I have ever seen, and a lot of wasted gringos even older than me, though I’m getting to the age now where I’m having more trouble discerning, being an old man with the brain of a child is funny that way

Not the best bar we went to. And we only went to two. No Sammy sightings :(

Parker was quickly ruled out after being evaluated for a concussion. Stevenson's journey was a little more rocky, initially leaving the game in the first quarter, returning in the second after getting his ankle taped, and ultimately leaving the playing field with four minutes remaining in the second quarter. He was ruled out at the start of the second half. Stevenson's day ends with eight yards on three carries and two yards on two receptions. Parker managed two receptions for 24 yards before departing.

This team has made the playoffs despite a 1-6 start. Going into this week there were three 6-7 teams competing for the final playoff spot. I played one of the others and beat him. Tonight I needed to see if the other would lose -- I needed Brown to score less than 17 points, and he did. Crazy.

Three of my seven losses were by less than 5 points (two by less than 1 point), so karma came back around or whatever.

This team is 6-1 in its last 7, with the 1 loss being the aforementioned defeat by 0.14.

You never know. 16-team redraft leagues rarely have any powerhouses and I think that's the case again this year. I would not be surprised by any result in the playoffs.

Yeah, last night you needed to beat me by several points to bump me from the playoffs, and you knocked me out by less than 3 points. I needed DH to fumble a couple more times at the end, but he didn't do it. :<_<: Keep ridin' that wave, and go kick some ***! :football:

I've never at any time had two players from any team. I guess it served my OCD/ADHD OK. I didn't miss much in a league this deep.
After the ESB pickup, I'm one team away from having had a player from every team
 
Since this is the unofficial animal and human maladies thread, I'll mention I had a weird moment of vertigo last night. I was putting the last batch of cookies into the oven when everything started spinning. I've never experienced anything like that while sober before. I stumbled off to lay down to see if it would pass. It mostly did but when the timer sounded and I stood up, it was back to the high seas again. I managed to get the cookies out and started the dishwasher but I was barely hanging on.

Mrs. E was at the second night of X and ditkaburgers was out with her friends. Louis will never be mistaken for Lassie. In fact he thought it was great that I was in bed so early so he crawled right in. Fortunately the spinning stopped when I lay down in a dark room. ditkaburgers checked in when she got in, rushed upstairs and started asking me questions about my symptoms. She wanted me to call an advice nurse which was nice but whatever was starting to pass. I still felt a bit dizzy when Mrs. E got home which was four hours after it started. This morning everything was back to normal. I was a little apprehensive getting out of bed fearing it might start up again but I really had to pee.

The incident was strange and not fun at all. I haven't had any congestion that could have affected my inner ear. I've gone to a bunch of shows but I've been getting normal sleep and exercise. According to my fitness tracker, my heartbeat was normal yesterday night. It's been six months since I had Covid and my annual bloodwork came back normal last week. I'm blaming Christmas cookies for now and hoping it doesn't return.

I hope you continue to feel well, Eephus. Let's hope it's nothing more serious than a cookie rush.

Did you check for gas leaks from your oven yet? Possible inhalation? I don't know. Just hoping for the best.

I've gotten vertigo from the movement of bending over and raising back up. I also have eustachian tube dysfunction, so my ears are not normal in general. When I swallow my ears go in and out, and they are often muffled. My sinuses/allergies make things worse with drainage going through my ears. I'm scared of heights, because when I look down I get a vertigo sensation. I had three episodes of what is probably BPPV this past year. Once at the Merlefest when getting something out from under my chair and then raising back up, and another time when bending over and getting something out of the back of my car and raising back up, and then another time when bending over to pick up a pair of shoes. It is no fun.

Hopefully it doesn’t but if the symptom recurs I’d recommend you see a doctor on that day.

Most vertigo is relatively benign (if not very disconcerting) but there are a few serious causes.
