i"ve found, lo over these past 25 yrs, that the great majority of fff (fake football folk) are exceedingly risk averse, and plod along accordingly - unlike the track, where salty degens realize that favorites only hit at a 30% clip, which means finding yer spot to bet against affords you a 70% winderrrrr.

i like your squad very much - Biljan were a pull and a half ... i love the ballsy sh1t, and i assure you he weren't making it past me in the 5 hole hadt you whiffed.

In a competitive league, almost every team has a weakness. It's almost impossible to build a team that is strong at all three core positions (quarterback, running back and wide receiver). As you probably suspect, we perceive your weakness to be at the quarterback position. Of all the deficiencies to have though, this is usually the easiest one to mask.

Footballguys even recommends you go into your draft with the goal of landing the top RBs and WRs while waiting to grab QBs late. Value-Based Drafting principles also suggest that teams constructed in this manner end up being strong. But for this team to reach it's full potential, you might need to have a quick trigger finger at the QB position and stay on the look out for good quarterback help. Last year Jared Goff could be had very cheap in August, but ended up contributing to a lot of fantasy championships. In 2021 it was Derek Carr; 2020 it was Justin Herbert; in 2019 it was Lamar Jackson. Quarterbacks like these can be found every year, and that could be the key to your team's success.

So although this team isn't perfect (few are), we still see it as an above average team.

Players we particularly like on this team (and there's a lot to like here) include Daniel Jones, Aaron Jones, Tyler Lockett, and Javonte Williams. We have all these guys ranked ahead of where they're typically being drafted.

With great inseason management, we think you have about a 80 percent chance of making the playoffs. Our Matchup and Waiver Wire tools at Footballguys.com would be a great place to start!

With good inseason management, we think you have about a 70 percent chance of making the playoffs.

They don't quite recognize the genius of my Danny Dimes/Darren Waller stack.

All jokes aside, I really did want that duo, so I'm happy with how this team turned out. The way things fell, my first few picks were very safe/conservative (Diggs, Henry, AJones) but I think I have a lot of upside here with the NYG stack, healthy Javonte should be one of the best flex options in the league, Waller I'm big on obviously, Lockett is still Lockett.

I'm buying in on Payton fixing Russell Wilson enough that he's a viable starter a few weeks and I took a million receivers that all seem to have at least some talent and are in their teams top 2 (Skyy Moore, Treylon Burks, Michael Wilson, Alec Pierce and Darius Slayton), if one or two pan out as a WR3/flex starter, it should be okay.

This has me wishing I was in a couple more leagues. The provincial government royally ****ed things up here when they introduced legal gambling. They made DFS and all the big fantasy sports sites unfeasible to run up here. They didn't "ban" them but they don't allow the pool to include users from outside of the province, so all the sites decided it wasn't worth their time to run Ontario only contests and pulled out and at the same time I can't enter any of the big contests (fantasy or DFS) because they're not Ontario only.

I loved the few NFFC leagues and the like I did but can't do that anymore. I could browse the looking for leagues forum here or the league safe want ads but I wish I could just drop $50 on a site and start drafting like everyone else in the world.

I can do a million prop bets on 40 different sites with no issues, it's just "pools" that are affected.

Yep Woodbine a few times. Used to go to Kawartha Downs all the time, my mom loves gambling (she's 77 and plays more FanDuel than me) and the horses are her favourite.

Do any fantasy platforms offer WR/RB/TE/PK/DF flex spots and how would you handle them?

I know a lot of people are anti kicker and defense these days but if you replaced K/D with two of these spots - in this league for example, would starting kickers be a no brainer? I feel like they would be, but also if you wanted to shoot for the upside or big day or had crazy depth, you could throw that guy in there?

Like do I want to start Darius Slayton or Tyler Bass in my RB/WR/TE/PK/DF spot?

I'm sure I am far from the first person to think of this, just a thought that came to me on beer three this afternoon (did I mention I'm on vacation now? )

This has me wishing I was in a couple more leagues. The provincial government royally ****ed things up here when they introduced legal gambling. They made DFS and all the big fantasy sports sites unfeasible to run up here. They didn't "ban" them but they don't allow the pool to include users from outside of the province, so all the sites decided it wasn't worth their time to run Ontario only contests and pulled out and at the same time I can't enter any of the big contests (fantasy or DFS) because they're not Ontario only.

I loved the few NFFC leagues and the like I did but can't do that anymore. I could browse the looking for leagues forum here or the league safe want ads but I wish I could just drop $50 on a site and start drafting like everyone else in the world.

though i guess ya prolly checked that already ... gotta think it's pretty tight up there - sucks for you lot - i played Underdog a TON last year - cashed in 2 of my best ball leegs (outta 10), and played the props just about every week ... not to mention jumpin' into the weekly/daily contests quite vigorously - made the szn very enjoyable, as i cut back to just one home $$$$ leeg.

only giving me a fiddy% shot at playoffs - meh - they sure ain't as high on the kidz i drafted as i are

Yeah. No best ball or DFS but all the "traditional" prop/parlay/straight up bets you could want. I haven't looked into underdog because I think of it as a best ball site but I'll see if they have props in Canada.

FanDuel came guns blazing into the market with a whole lot of "Maple Leafs to record one shot on goal in the game (Max Bet $50)" type props that were literally free money, so I've got a decent balance there after cashing out a bunch of times but I know there is value in taking the similar offers on other sites.

Unless it's unique to Oregon, you can only parlay props on Underdog Picks. Their lines ARE soft, but you have to play multiples.

Instead of having a kicker slot, my fantasy league recently adopted a "Dice" spot. On Tuesday mornings, I roll two die for each team. Each team gets somewhere between 2-12 points based on the roll.We prefer it because it's a bit more predictive than kickers.

How did I miss this today?

yes, parlays are the order there on Underdog ... long labeled the errand of fools, but it's no different than playing horizontals at the track - i hadt a decent hit rate last szn, which were my first playing on that platform ... anytime i come out ahead with some nice shekel to show for my troubles, i'm goodt.
