Summerpalooza VI: Return of the Rock Bands - And they say "He's in the Class A Team" (2 Viewers)

The idea of somebody lining up for a FG of any length in my modest/tiny backyard is ridiculous.

Didn't you COVID post your wasted neighbor or something like that? I remember something like that. Which leads me to agreeing with you that your backyard is tiny.

In October 2020, my neighbor the drunk fulfilled his destiny to become Florida Man.

Based on our conversations, he seems happier and less ###### up there. I miss him as a cribbage opponent and symphony goer but I don't miss the evil nonsense he'd spout when he got going.

You could probably kick an old school extra point in his yard. Ours is much smaller; I have to move plants around to play a regulation game of darts.

3.04 - Jaylen Waddle - WR - Miami

Gucci Mane ft. Gorilla Zoe - Waddle

Walk with a waddle. . .

eta* Really excited for this. So excited I almost forgot an explanation. I simply want to watch this guy this year. Even if Tua gets hurt, I've seen enough of Mike White to know he can distribute the ball and lead an offense. This was a no-brainer for me at this slot. (That'll probably wind up wrong, but it feels good now.)

It was Waddle or Jacobs for me. When I took Hurts the plan was to grab Waddle next. I changed my mind last min but it was close.

That is an absolute STEAL that you got him at 3.4. I agonized for 30 minutes between him and DaVonta at 2.7 and ended up grudgingly going with the better team, and then you got him 11 picks later!!!

I reached over him for Olave because Olave is WR1 on his own team and he looks to get tons of volume, but I am pleasantly surprised I got both. I think everybody's picks were good. He just fell. Maybe a little out of range, but per Draft Dominator, almost everybody made a pick that had a recommended or viable star next to it, so. . .Jacobs was really the guy out of range on DD. I think he was ranked sixteenth and went thirty-first. Waddle was ranked twenty-four and went thirty-two.

Just happy I got him.

Agree, best value of the draft so far

cues South Central Rain ... "i'm sorry ... i'm sorry"

hopped an Uber last night to my buddy's bar - as i jumped in, i realized i left my full packa smokes inside ... told the driver to wait, and i entered thru my garage, and, WALA! cancer stix on the ready 🚬

flash to 'bout 40 mins later, when i go to text my gf and realize i am sans phone (yeah, i were chitfaced) - what to do?

a passenger found it in the back seat, thankfully, and mah goodt man Manush (sp?) returned to my home, and gave it to my gf.

so ... yeah, were outta touch for quite awhile. but we goodt to go now ...

JUSTIN FIELDZ, QB CHI-TOWN

it's a gross feeling reaching qb this early, and i am leaving a ton of goodt meat on the rb/wr bone, but this kid are the firewall for me, as far as my preference goes - i like sexy/sizzle, and he brings it to team OTB.

Chi-town's own Naked Raygun - Metastasis

@landrys hat OTC

@plinko on deck circle with Gabby Hartnett

i were crushed to open the thread this morn to see that i missed him by a mere whisker - better drafting from yours truly woulda seen me snaggin' Waddy in the 2nd, then wrapping Gibby here in the 3rd ... but i had a very sneakin' suspicion Gibby weren't gonna make it back - but that's prolly more of me overvaluing MY GUY - will never know now, will we?

guess the odds of the rook makin' it back were farrr greater than Waddy, who really shoulda been gone by bottom of 2nd, and i were one who helped facilitate his slide, so there ya go.

think he are a better rounded receiver than 'reek, and obviously a muchmuchmuch easier cat to "root" for ... but that's a whole nuddah kettle o' fish i'll leave alone.

slight pause due to the banana peel Tua constantly operates on, 'cuz he makes that McDaniels offense motor - one of the more innovative and complex as we've seen fully injected into the modern game ... but, man, are Tua fragile.

however ... i did see that J-E-T-S!JETS!JETS!JETS! castoff/mad bomber Mike White are now the understudy down there - hell, that kid are fearless, and may just prove to be "A-IGHT" once Tua goes down.

MOP has decided that White sucks, so the Shark Pool will be unreadable should he get any serious playing time this year.

ol' MOP, to this day, are the only user who lists me as "friend" on the profile ... so i got a certain soft spot for our Swedish Fish fiend ... now, that being said, he are the king of sizzling takes, of that i do recall.

there are another dumdum who far exceeds him in that regard, but i'm not gonna gum up this thread/draft with draggin' that fake arse buffoon, though the tanning are loooong overdue - MOP are a breath of fresh air in comparision.

I’ve got a bad feeling I’m going to miss out on all the remaining players in my next tier and get stuck taking 2 guys I’m not very excited about.

having 5 qbs go in the top 33 picks is foisting a ton of decent rb/wr flesh down the pike ... tiers are starting to break now, tho, as this starts heating up.

i think you kilt your first 2 picks, btw - good job.

Hmm, I was GOING to reach for my flag plant player this year, but since this guy is still there this morning, the opportunity cost for him is just too great to pass up. So . . .

With pick 3.8, we select Tee Higgins, WR, Bengals

Song
"1999" by Prince

@Doug B
Tremendous value and song too

Can anyone post a listing from otb_lifer's pick at 2.10 forward? They're not on the Google Sheet. TIA
Looks like someone updated. Thanks!

My brother in law is here from England (visiting the ill father in law) and we're taking him to the airport today, then staying in Toronto and going to the Jays game tomorrow so I'll be doing everything from my phone for the next 36 hours or so.

3.10 - Mark Andrews - TE - Ravens

Kurt Elling - "Tight"

I loved having an elite TE last year (Kelce) because it effectively gave me an extra roster slot for RB/WR speculation. Andrews is a step down but he's (hopefully) still an every week starter regardless of opponent.

Kurt Elling is a Jazz singer from Chicago who does some cool scatting on his rendition of a song originally recorded by the great Betty Carter.
