Summerpalooza VI: Return of the Rock Bands - And they say "He's in the Class A Team" (1 Viewer)

6.05 - Marquise Brown - WR - Cardinals

Richie Cole - "Hooray for Hollywood"

Sorry for killing the momentum tonight but it was my son's last night in town and we went to the Giants game and out for some drinks afterwards. It became academic at some point because @Doug B wasn't going to be around to pick anyway. Hollywood won a ring with us last year and he seems like a relatively high floor guy as the #1 option on a team that's going to be playing from behind a lot this year.

"Hooray for Hollywood" is an old Pop chestnut that you've probably heard as the credits roll on a movie award show. There are surprisingly few Jazz renditions of the song but this 1979 version by neo-Bebop altoist Richie Cole is a cooker.

6.02 RB David Montgomery

recently completed a 14 teem ppr $$$$$ draft ... took Gibby mid 3rd, Monty mid 6th - THAT are my starting backfield.

for now 😁

i see 400 carries, 100 receptions, 20 TDs between the pair - Lions had 499 rb opportunities last szn (carries/targets) with arguably lesser talent (Gibby/Swift are too early to call, but Monty > JWilly)

LOVE that pick.
I think that’s a good value strategy for RB. I see the backfield pretty similarly. I think the Lions offensive touches are going to be extremely condensed around those 2 backs and ARSB.

Can anybody take my next pick? I have to run out for a bit and don't want to gum up the works. It's two guys, either or.

sorry, folks ... we were switched to T-MOBILE from Sprint, and they apparently do not provide decent coverage to "outta the way" places like Massapequa :oldunsure:

SAD!

Diontae Johnson - WR, Stillers

don't love the QB, but this cat will do fine as wr3, for now.

Brothers Johnson - Strawberry Letter #23

as smooooove as DJ's routes

@rockaction OTC

@dkp993 on deck circle with Ed Ott

ETA: YES, ER'RYONE ON THIS BORED SCORED AS MANY TDs AS DJ DID IN '22 :lmao:

I think this is a great pick. If there was ever a candidate for positive regression in fantasy, it's DJ this year.

only player in history with 110+ targets (147) and ZERO tds ... hell, if he just had 5 he woulda cracked the top 20.

Pickett looked much more confident in the exhibition game last week - still alotta growth to do.
