More a running joke ABOUT Silva, that he's a boomer RB bro. I think he has a certain Minnesota RB (no spotlighting!) about 30 picks ahead of where he'd normally go. And that guy's presumed backup about 100 picks ahead. The Underdog fanboys who only care about WR all used to work for/with Silva and kind of lead the narrative, but he plays into it for sure.

Barkley and Chubb are probably smarter picks because we know their volume will be ridiculous and their floor is higher. The circumstances and coaches just scream that they'll be used heavily. Both 26 and 27 in their last prime years and with coaches that love to run.
But so does Arthur Smith in Atlanta. They won't run Bijan into the ground as a rook, but I just wanted an excuse to watch him play, too. And heck, what if Art can't help himself and tries to ride this guy into the playoffs? He could be a league winner.
Anyway, I'm forking over the metaphorical cash to see the race.

I've been listening almost exclusively to Rock lately in large part because of the Middle Aged Dummies threads so I'm returning to my 2021 draft schtick of picking Jazz songs with tenuous connections to football players. My team didn't make the playoffs that year but I enjoyed my playlist and have gone back to it a number of times since.
Bob Cooper - "Confirmation"
Cooper was a West Coast tenor sax player of the late 50 and 60s who recorded a lot with alto player Bud Shank. This version of a Charlie Parker song comes from a sextet session from 1958. The album cover has a certain mid-century charm.
I couldn't find any Jazz songs referencing grade 1 hamstring strains.

The Immigrant Song (about Norse mythology) is a homage to Kelce's nickname in the NFL (it's Zeus, but he's more a Thor, don't you think?)
My home league has been going 25 years, and I won once, in 2014. That year I drafted a rookie TE in the 13th round. He played no appreciable role in my victory (that was due to both Denver WRs, Odell Beckham, and Demarco Murray), but I started Kelce every week anyway.
I haven't rostered him since, so this is exciting.

easy to see why - best value of the first rd, no question.
just completed a 14 team $$$$ draft, where i hadt 3rd overall pick - i took Kupp with zero hesitation - best in the gig, and the most prolific fake football scorer when healthy (was leading all players in ppg prior to last year's injury, and that includes the game in which he got injured, i believe in the 1st qtr)
i diversified here with Chase, as i have Kupp in one other leeg, as well ... plus i never had Chase on a roster (or Kelce, for that matter)

Yeah that was part of why I took ARSB. I had Lamb and Pollard as 2 of the 4 guys I liked. I did worry if I took one, I might get stuck having to take the other in round 2. I think it all worked out well for us both. Pollard’s ceiling is massive.
