I'm on board. Exciting times to be in Charlotte, loving what I'm seeing. We have seen glimpses of this coming together over the past couple years; it feels like the parts are finally meshing and the team is starting to scratch its potential. There is still room for growth but right now I think Carolina may have the best defense in football, and certainly the most explosive offense from any of the other defensive-dominate teams.
How are we judging that statement? New Orleans and Seattle are both top 5 defenses right now, and are both at least as explosive as Carolina on offense.
The Panthers may have the best combination of offense and defense; so if that's what you mean
when I think of the Saints, I think of a team that wins with offense first. The fact they have a nice defense too is gravy, but they win because of Drew Brees.
Seattle - here is a team with a nasty D and a good O, but IMO the Panthers O is more explosive. I can't back this up with stats (frankly, didn't realize the Seahawks are 2nd in the league in points), it's my perception and I base that on Carolina having more playmakers. a healthy Harvin may tip the scale though. in terms of explosiveness, Cam>Wilson, Smith> Tate, rest of Car's WR's = Seattle WR's, Olsen > Miller, Lynch > Deangelo/Stewart... that's how I see it anyways.
