THE FBG Fashion Thread :style: (1 Viewer)

I ordered some vneck tshirts online and they are really thin. Is that normal? They were 45 bucks a pop so thought they would be more sturdy. I feel ripped off.

Just got home from Summerfest (in Milwaukee). Literally about 90% of the guys walking those grounds should read this thread.
Your fashion differs from 90% of the population yet they are the ones with the problem? Interesting.

:hot:I'd say that most of that 90% (85% maybe) don't give a rats ### about what is "in fashion" and don't care what others think about their attire.I'd say 5% are just clueless all togetherYes I am a 85%er

What did you expect for 45.00? Open up that wallet and get some quality. I would expect to pay 75.00+ for a quality T.

I went into Target late last week and they have different color v-neck t-shirts for 6.99 a pop. Was surprised how nice they look and picked up a few. They may not hold up as long but who cares at that price.

For teh 4th of July BBQ this weekend, I'm debating these shirts:

awesomeness

too guido?

my normal shirt

to go with these shorts:

awesome again

my normal shorts

Wife says my fashion sense sucks. Help.
When you think of :style: think of Hot Bodz Clothing Company.
I do what I gotta do. :lmao: I don't think I could get my forearm into your fancy coats and sweaters, amigo. Any big and (not so) tall advice?

This is the best. The very best. I sometimes suggest those shirts at work as well. On Fridays.

The unfortunate truth is that for bodybuilder guys there probably aren't going to be many fashionable options unless you have enough money to get everything tailor made. The percentage of guys that have this physique is so miniscule that the market isn't out there to produce these sizes in designer styles. You more or less are forced to buy from a place like Hot Bodz who cater to the UFC crowd which are the opposite of :style:First step is to find some shirts with sleeves. No matter how nice a shirt is, if it doesn't have sleeves you're going to look like a tool.

I always wear undershirts and I have plenty of high end button-ups....Paul Smith, Varvatos, Gucci. Undershirts work fine. I believe they are necessary.
Curious for you....crew neck or v-neck?
Under a dress shirt I've been going crew neck mostly but for just wearing definitely V-neck. Wicked Quick makes some nice V-Necks out of soft sheer cotton. The fabric is a bit distressed and has lots of character. My choice for V-Necks.

The wife was mocking my rock shirts today, and I tried searching for some different types of short sleeved shirts.

Any thoughts on these?

Sovereign Code Trooper Button Front Shirt

Anyone have an opinion?
#1 isn't bad. Was more in style about 7 years ago but seems to be back in over the last 6 months. Had me pretty confused when I went shopping recently. I find very few short sleeve button-ups appealing these days. I just go with a light fabric long sleeve and do the 1/4 sleeve roll. Other option is a short sleeve polo in a solid color...understated yet effective with the right pair of jeans/shorts.The other shirts are no bueno...at least for me.

A little too "rocky & rollyrockabilly" for me.
I said it earlier in this thread. Varvatos has some real nice shirts. Pretty pricey but worth it. I was in his store in Vegas at Caesar's and there was plenty of stuff 40-50% off. $100 for a nice shirt is not too much cabbage. If you're into looking good and making an impression designer clothes are worth the coin. (And when I say "designer" I'm not talking Express, Juicy, Lucky or American Eagle) The quality, cut and fit is always better. You don't have to pay retail either. Go to Sacks off 5th or Nieman's Last Call.....plenty of real nice designer stuff up to 80% off. And the good thing about nice designer clothes is a good percentage of it is timeless, not trendy.

I've considered it.And Jdoggy, $100 for a shirt isn't a lot of money. A drop in the bucket as far as I'm concerned.

Tonydead respectfully disagrees :goodposting:
Thanks but I don't need a spokes women. After spending the better part of the day finding shorts to replace my jorts, and we even bought some of those ridiculous socks that don't even come past the top of your sneakers. I didn't like it, but, my old lady was having a blast. I get plenty of chicks, and I usually don't care what other people think, but if this helps me and my lady score more babes I'm willing to give it a go. I'll let you know how it works out.

Bought about $250 worth of shirts today at Macys. I think ofdee might approve. I'll post pics later.
I know you've all been waiting with popcorn in hand to see my new clothes. Here they are:Striped 1

Striped 2

Billabong

White 1

White 2
Did you keep the receipt??
First two are the best, the third is just OK, the fourth is somewhat ballsy and the fifth has epaulettes.

Striped 2 is the only one I'd recommend keeping.Billabong is OK, but pretty boring overall....just looks like a regular grey shirt to me.

White 1 is really bad...don't wear that, and return immediately.

Question, what's your height and weight, if you don't mind me asking? Reason being these shirts all look really wide with long sleeves from these pics....you want to make sure stuff fits nicely and not overly baggy. You could have the best shirt ever and if it's just sitting on you like a big sack it's going to look like crap.

Thumbs up for trying to mix it up though and getting out of your usual comfort zone a little.

i'd have to check my notebook for confirmation but i believe he said he looks like a skinhead. you know, big dude with a shaved head. he scared some old lady in the local grocery wearing one of his old punk t-shirts or something like that.
