The Inauguration (1 Viewer)

HFS, the trump press secretary is a stuttering, bumbling mess.   I didn't realize trump hired zach galifianakis from between two ferns.    

 
How the eff can this guy stand up there with a straight face and claim that the trump inauguration had more people than obama's circa 2009.   I personally don't give an eff, but it just continues the pattern of this alternate reality that the trumpster and all his minions live in.

In all fairness, he has got to have one of the very roughest jobs going right now.

I paint houses for a living now (very happy), but at one time, I had to speak for a company.  I consider myself ethical, but, I was required to lie on a daily basis in order to do my job.  Unfortunately true.  I had to not only lie to internal company employees, but I had to lie to the government.  3 heart attacks and one attempted indictment before a federal gran jury before my 33rd birthday...plus, I got paid s##t!

I have total sympathy/empathy for Spicer...but I would never take that job to begin with.

No sympathy b/c of this.   No one would a shred of credibility would ever take that job with full knowledge that they're going to be defending falsehood after falsehood.   Its day one and he's already being forced to make ridiculous statements.

He's pretty predictable. If he is attacked, criticized or ridiculed by a significant demographic he's going to lash out like a 5-year-old who's been told to put his toys away and go to bed. 

It will be a major upset if he doesn't go Twitter bats**t crazy about all this overnight tonight.

Because he was probably told do it or else. The bull has entered the china shop. Welcome to the next 4 years where it's all the medias fault for misrepresenting "the truth". Wouldn't be surprised to see him quit at some point since many people who don't like Trump have said good things about him.

It was kind of a rhetorical question. :)  I didn't think he did it under his own volition.  He is going to so hate his job.

I'm not sure he can tweet... however it occurs to me that what Trump has now is a White House press secretary and media office which will blare out what his tweets used to do.

 
Hard to keep up with Trump's lies, but he is not close to the record for the cover of Time, either in one year or annually. (Both dubious honors belong to Richard Nixon.)

It's nothing to brag about anyway since they were unflattering covers. Even in the Person of the Year photo, he looks like a cartoon villain. But as he's said before, any press is good press. Love me, hate me, just give me attention.

And he's saying this in front of that wall of stars honoring deceased agents. Piece of ####.

 
Living in the area, I spent the weekend at the inauguration, parade, and walked through the protests today.  I was going to attend no matter who won the office, and enjoyed it overall.  Although I would think Obama had more in attendance in 2009 for obvious reasons, it was hilarious seeing the photos later on the news only followed by an equally immature, Trump like White House press conference to address the obvious inaccuracy.  It was very crowded and so crowded we actually left and went to the parade route early.  I was surprised to see so many bikers and very few protestors in comparison to the supporters of Democracy.  The demographics yesterday during the inauguration were much different than that the VA/MD area, much older and laid back. 

Today the demographics looked more in line with the normal DC residents with students and younger citizens from all over the area walking around as it is the weekend.  Although peaceful, the screeches and tones will give any man a good headache.  These women just need a good dicking I think and they would be okay.  The tone today seemed solely on Anti Trump and birth control.  Never seen so many unattractive people holding abortion signs, seems like they would never need to worry about it anyways.  It's tough to estimate numbers, and it really isn't going to matter as only results will.  

It is alarming just how divided and angry some people are, and very confusing at the same time.  You guys realize no matter who wins you still have to go to work, pay bills, clean the house, and live life? Seriously, there is so much opportunity to be successful no matter who is in charge, don't use something you can't control become an excuse in life.   It's clear people just use these events as excuses for their personal failures.  Overall, it was a good experience to have and glad I got to see it all in first person.

It was funny when he lied about this stupid stuff when he was trying to get the nom, it was aggravating when he was doing it during the election.

When he starts doing it when he's President about something that actually matters well then what happens?

Who the #### cares?  There was a ####load of people there.  Just not as many as were at Obamas and previous inaugurations.  And that's ok.  To everyone but the ####### POTUS, who is making a jackass out of himself and this country.

Trump could have so easily made the quip that some people did here, he could have said, "My supporters would have showed up in larger numbers but unlike the protestors,they have to work for a living!" 

People would have laughed, his fans would have cheered, his enemies would have fumed, it would have been a political victory. Reagan expertly said stuff like this all the time. But not Trump; instead he needs to create this fabrication. So pathetic.

The issue is the president is a buffoon.  Hard to blame anyone that points that out.  All these people aren't liberals.  Wake up.  We elected a buffoon to the most powerful office in the world.

1st day on the job. This is not going to work. Either he changes or he goes. It may take a couple years but I could see us entering crisis mode very quickly under these circumstances.

Here's my analogy as I was no Clinton fan but voted for her:

Hillary is like liver.  I don't like liver, most people don't. I don't think I'd ever choose to eat liver.  Until one day, I was forced to choose between liver and a pile of ####.  Easy choice for me, give me the liver.  But some people have been told for the last 25 years that liver was awful, the worst ever.  Even #### would taste better.  And they believed it.  When forced with the choice, they ate the ####.  Even the people who told them #### was better than liver ate the ####.  And now they're all sitting there with #### in the mouths saying that liver would've tasted just as bad.  and they believe THAT too.  It's incredible to watch.  Party over country.  Right vs left.  Red vs blue. R vs D.  and now a buffoon is the leader of our country.  People had an option to stay home or vote 3rd party.  Too many of them chose the #### they were told was better than liver, unable to see past the fact they got talked into eating ####.

That's pretty good, I look at it more horse #### and dog ####. I really don't like him as a person but was a big fan of going outside the corrupt political machine to someone in the private sector.....would have preferred someone else though. Ideally my views are more Libertarian I guess but doubt we will see that 3rd podium at the debates anytime soon.  His tactics and extreme statements irk me but will be interesting to see if he gets things done compared to what we've become used to in DC.

Keep telling yourself that.  This guy insulted war heroes, gold star families, immigrants, Muslims, every fellow Republican candidate, and was caught on tape bragging about sexual assault.   He talked of the usefulness of NATO (NATO!) and cozied up to Putin.  Yet people still voted for him.  Can't be as bad as liver!  

i don't care if you wanted an outsider, the guy was clearly and totally clueless, a bumbling idiot.  He's an embarrassment to us and you had fellow Rs and right wing outlets saying don't vote for this guy, yet a large percentage of people did anyway.  They didn't believe the people who told them it was #### and don't eat it.  I'll show you!  Give me that ####!  Next time put up something better than liver!  You guys showed us
