If the Women's March tomorrow gets 100k+, that would be pretty interesting...
I think the women's march is going to greatly exceed 100k.If the Women's March tomorrow gets 100k+, that would be pretty interesting...
Seems to me that there are 3 valid reasons to point out the smaller sizes of Trump's crowds:Why does this seem to matter to you guys so much?
I think you're right. But I think the Trump victory was largely due to a group that was just really resentful of creeping cultural change. Everyone used to stand up for the cops when they had to bash a few heads; now we're being told that the cops are prejudiced and unfair. You used to be able to complain about queers and freaks without hearing about it a thousand times on Facebook or Twitter. Those smartass liberals. Always with the jokes, the putdowns, the funny internet pictures. The companies boycotting places where traditional values held sway. The smug bastards. We've got a guy now who doesn't take any of that crap. We're gonna crack some skulls and let decent people run things for other decent people again.I think there's a severely untapped demographic of Democrats who would have voted for anyone acting like a sane human being not named Hillary Clinton.
That's right. Red Sox play that day...Already have it Massachusetts. It's a great day, one of my favorite days of the year.
Meh. Decent people are boring. That's why nobody pays any attention to articles about decent exposure. No one made a movie about a decent proposal. They'll come around.I think you're right. He's going to ban soccerThis whole "America First" mentality makes me a bit uneasy. I understand the concept in a bigger sense, but it comes across as overly obnoxious and likely counter-productive when dealing with an increasingly more connected global economy.

Oh JFC give it break already. Go pollute some other thread.I think you're right. But I think the Trump victory was largely due to a group that was just really resentful of creeping cultural change. Also Boston marathon and all sorts of hot chicks. That's right. Red Sox play that day...
A small group of troublemakers out of several thousand peaceful protestors is not representative of liberals or Democrats. And no one here is condoning the violence. It's perfect, as much as the left whined about out of control Trump supporters it's the liberals that are the complete embarrassment on Inauguration Day. You are the perfect ring leader too, congrats on your win.
I don't think that lots of Trump supporters make a lot of claims besides really generalized ones. They've never cared about the specifics or truthfulness of what Donald says. It's a secondary issue. One of the reasons our political threads are such pissing matches is that Trump supporters really don't have any policies to discuss. There are no plans from Donald and we really need to be focusing on what kind of damage the GOP congress can do to the nation.sublimeone:
Seems to me that there are 3 valid reasons to point out the smaller sizes of Trump's crowds:
1. it tends to contradict Republican claims that Trump's victory was a mandate.
2. it tends to contradict Republican claims that Trump is more popular than Obama.
3. (most significantly) the President himself is not only obsessed with crowd size, but he frequently exaggerates or lies about them. (For example, just last night he proclaimed "They never had so many people" at an inaugural concert.)
So, maybe a better response would be: why are Trump supporters so afraid of Trump being called out for his exaggerations?
So you're proving his point as it's much lower than Obama? There were 400,000 people at George W. Bush's inauguration.
And yet it just takes one sign at a rally of thousands to proclaim them all racists.A small group of troublemakers out of several thousand peaceful protestors is not representative of liberals or Democrats. And no one here is condoning the violence.
JFC. If it were reversed, we would have seen that comparison from ya'll here 100 times already followed by tweets from POTUS about it.So you're proving his point as it's much lower than Obama?
At that time, it was a historical moment. This time it's hysterical. So you're proving his point as it's much lower than Obama?
No specific policies have been put forth yet. Nobody really believes campaign promises do they?I don't think that lots of Trump supporters make a lot of claims besides really generalized ones. Keep telling yourself that. I'm sure conservatives would have blocked highways, spit on people, lit cars on fire etc too.JFC. If it were reversed, we would have seen that comparison from ya'll here 100 times already followed by tweets from POTUS about it.
You've been saying this for the last 2 years. This is Obama's legacy. The Community Organizer. The Agitator in Chief. The Left doesn't want a debate of ideas. They want to intimidate, coerce, and stifle debate. There was a time and place for this tactic - when thousands of young people were dying in Vietnam and blacks were being actively and legally discriminated against. Those days are long gone.A small group of troublemakers out of several thousand peaceful protestors is not representative of liberals or Democrats. And no one here is condoning the violence.

This is just Palin nonsense. He was a community organizer before going to law school, graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law, taught constitutional law at Chicago Law School while practicing as an attorney, and then served as a state senator before being elected to the US Senate. The notion that he was just some inexperienced average Joe is falseYou've been saying this for the last 2 years. This is Obama's legacy. The Community Organizer. The Agitator in Chief. So, an average Joe with a law degree then. This is just Palin nonsense. His point, specifically, was that Trump voters work.So you're proving his point as it's much lower than Obama?
Not sure where've you've been the last couple years. Let me refresh your memory...![]()
What a bunch of the same nonsense that you have been saying for the last 2 years. Complete false characterization of the left because of the actions of a few.
And here we go with the anti-elitists disparaging Harvard Law School. So, an average Joe with a law degree then.
I like Harvard Business School.bueno:

He just described himself as a community organizer at heart. It's what he is. He believes in hitting the streets, getting in people's faces. This is just Palin nonsense. I thought Trump got the support of all the non-educated white males without a job. Wasn't that supposedly the demo Clinton couldn't reach? If so all those folks should have had plenty of time to come to DC today.GoBirds:
His point, specifically, was that Trump voters work.
Can he do anything right in your eyes?Come on, Trump. At least be a little solemn when you're saluting the troops. Don't be swaying and bouncing to the music while doing it.
If he re-signed tomorrow he'd make a strong case for my favorite President ever. Can he do anything right in your eyes?
Is it unpatriotic to want to bang the First Lady?*
Yeah that's pretty much the same as assaulting supporters at inauguration, destroying cars, breaking windows of stores, and blocking highways etc. If these memes even exist. We'll never know because Trump won....but anecdotally, I saw a lot of memes from Conservatives I know about "If they win...we revolt", "the tree of liberty must be refreshed with the blood" and other statements that were promoting violence if Clinton won. That certainly doesn't condone violence in any of the protests....
