happy with it as i think i upgraded at wr2 and rb3 for three bench guys, just have bye week issures in weeks 8 and 9 (Brown/K. Jones, S. Smith/Boldin), didnt think I could turn the value down though. thoughts....

Another jettison of Lamont Jordan:

Gave up Lamont Jordan + Todd Heap

for Kevin Jones.

I like Kevin Jones moving forward, and I really wanted to get rid of Jordan. Felt like Heap was a small enough price to pay.

I have an offer to get LJ Smith and give up Colston. Not sure yet if I will accept that one or just go with a rotating waiver wire tight end.

 
14-team Dynasty PPR

Cotchery and Bryant for R.Moss and Gabriel

Had the depth to gamble on Moss, figure Gabriel should be the #1 receiving option in NE and wanted to sell high on Cotchery.

Keeper league. Traded Edge and Holt for Alexander and Moss. Then traded Moss for LenDale White (2 RBs, 2 flex, so very RB-oriented).

 
Antonio Gates and Hines Ward for Anquan Boldin. The reason that I got rid of Gates is because I have Marquise Colston, and I needed to get him a starting role on my team.

 
Let's get this back on track fellas.

Last week made this deal in a PPR keeper league (4-1 record) where you keep 3 players, one of them has to be a 10th round pick or later.

I got Portis, Turner, and Cutler.

I gave up FWP, Foster, and Roethlisberger.

Current RBs - SJax, Portis, T. Jones, Turner, Norwood.

Next step will be to deal two of Cutler/Turner/Norwood (hopefully keep Cutler).

Next year keep SJax for a first round pick, Portis for a 2nd round pick, and Cutler for a 13th rounder. I can keep SJax for only '07, but I'll have Portis and Cutler thru '08. :thumbup:

 
Made this trade in another redraft...

I got Chester Taylor, Drew Bennett, and Mew Moore.

I gave Muhommad, Norwood, Jacobs (owner has Dunn and Barber).

Current RBs are Caddy, Fred Taylor, Chester Taylor, T. Jones, Mew Moore (real strong for this league).

Current WRs are CJohnson, Evans, Furrey, Bry Johnson, Bennett, Trav Taylor.

Now I need Caddy to have another good week and I should be able to move him for a nice WR. Jax, Min, Chi schedules are favorable.

Why: I like Bryant this year and long-term, crumpler had done crap, and the drop-off in DL is not terribly important in this league scoring.

Got:

Aaron Rodgers

Why: Because I have Favre and I like Rodgers better long-term anyway. Walter could be behind Quinn this time next season.

After a draft that left me full of RB depth, I've used that depth to upgrade my starting WR's (now can start Holt, D-Jax and TO). The PIT Defense also addresses another of my team's weakness. The other guy REALLY needed a RB, and I was happy to give up the one guy that I'm afraid of losing during the playoff run.

Having depth at RB allowed this risk/reward move. Still have Tatum, Tiki and Maroney. 2 and 3 on the year, while the former Alex owner stands at 1 and 4. His only other RB of starting caliber is Julius Jones. Now all I can do is hope that the healing process took.

FWIW, the deal I was offered was a LOT better than the one you were offered. It's not so much that you got a steal, it's that you kept me from getting a steal. I was offered Maroney & Winslow for Ricky, Wilford & my two firsts (one of which might be as high as 1.1, one of which will probably be 1.10 - 1.14).Still a good deal for you though. Congrats.
 
Just traded Roy Williams (Wr Det) for Michael Vick. I need a starting QB desperately and I have solid depth at WR.

In another league I offered Lamont Jordan and Steve Smith for Ronnie Brown and Joey Galloway. It looks questionable on paper, but Lamont Jordan has scored fewer TDs and is averaging about 70 all-purpose yds/g while Brown is averaging about 86 yp/g, and it seems the Raiders are trending towards getting Fargas more involved in the running game. I like Steve Smith a lot, but with the hammy injuries and the presence of a legitimate #2 receiver, I just don't think another season like last one is in the cards for him. This trade hasn't been accepted or declined yet.

Traded Reggie Williams, Plaxico, and Cadi for Peyton Manning and Cedric Benson in a ten team keeper with standard scoring.

My other WRs (start two): Driver, Andre Johnson, Roy Williams, Braylon

My RBs: LJ and SA (have Morris also)

Who I'll play in the flex: Ahman Green or one of the WRs

I have Bulger but wanted a team that will roll. If I win my division I get a week 14 bye and my matchups in 15 and 16 are very good. I wouldn't start Reggie most week and with Plaxico I just felt I'd rather not have all these WRs to chose from. Cadi I just aquired last week for Fred Taylor but I would have used him in the flex a lot. Benson was a throw in but he has keeper value for next year so i like getting him also.

 
Just traded

Pennington and Berrian for Hasselback and Dayne.

My two Qb's were Beldsoe and Pennington and I thought Hass will give me more security. Plus Hass's schedule coming up looks pretty favorable.

 
I traded Carson Palmer for Boldin straight up in a contract league.

I have mcnabb and vick at qb and now have CJ, Djax and Boldin as my starting WR's. I dont think I will need to make any more moves unless there is an injury.

12 team PPR redraft

Traded Coles/Foster for Westbrook/C.Jackson

Leaves me very thin at WR (start 3)

Holt, Colston, TTaylor, MarkClayton, ChJackson

but I couldn't pass up the chance to pair up LJ and Westbrook, especially with PPR.

Oh, i definitely agree, the deal he offered you was mind boggling. I don't think i got a steal at all, but by preventing you (the best team in the league) from getting a steal is what made it a little sweeter.I was shocked when i saw the deal you were offered.
 
I've made several trades in my different leagues:

Bush and Cotchery for Javon Walker and Donald Driver- I have plently of RB depth. I wanted the proven WRs

LT for Dunn and LJ. Then traded Dunn and R. Moss for Addai and KWII- Dunn and LJ for LT was a no brainer for me since I value those 2 RBs equally. Then I used Dunn to get Addai, who I velue higher the rest of the way. Plus I got the #1 TE in our league in KWII

Grossman and G. Jennings for Hasselbeck and DJax- I looked at this trade as the ultimate "sell high" scenario.

Gates and Housh for Cooley and Harrison- This is the weakest of my trades, but I like for Marvin to take off. I also had KWII in this league, so Gates was expendable.

 
I traded Huard for Losman straight up in a league where a 2nd QB can be started as a flex.

Huard's schedule gets much more difficult and Trent Green will be back eventually and then I would be stuck with nothing. Losman's schedule gets easier down the stretch. I may never play him but I think he is better than Huard long term...

 
Just traded Crumpler and Viniteri for Shockey.....don't need either because of KWII and Gould, however I do feel Shockey has more potential than Crumpler.

Cuz Jordan is worthless. Hes currently my RB3. Addai averages the same pts as him even with Addai splitting carries. There is absolutely no chance whatsoever that I start Jordan over the next 7 weeks cuz their schedule is brutal. They may be shut out 3 or 4 times. So basically its risky but I have alot more upside with Addai. And I like Kennison better than Horn.Jordans sched:@DEN, ARI, PIT @SEA DEN @KAN @SDG

10 Team Dynasty League

Traded Fred Taylor and Vernon Davis for Tatum Bell.

Traded Roy Williams and Maurice Jones-Drew for Carson Palmer and Alge Crumpler (huge upgrades for me at both positions)

12 Team Keeper League (2 players kept, 2 years of keeper eligibility)

Traded Caddy and Gates (both keepers from this season), and a 6th round draft pick and a conditional middle round draft pick for Benson, a 3rd round draft pick and a 5th round draft pick.

This team is out of contention for all intents and purposes, and we (I co-own this team) already have Maroney, Bush, Turner, DeAngelo as potential keepers for next season. Now we also have Benson. The nice thing is that all 5 players have two years of keeper eligility still, so we may be able to make a few trades in the offseason for more picks (if one or more of Benson, Turner, DeAngelo is a starter next season). As it stands, we already have some decent draft picks. Next season, the likes of LT, Peyton, and Rudi will become FAs.

 
J.Jones & D.Williams for Brown & McMichael. League is very difficult to get anyone to trade. No one ever offers a trade or counteroffers so your offer needs to be very one-sided to have any hope og getting someone to trade with you. 1-2 trades per year tops. I don't have the time now to pay attention to the possible Rb merry go round in Dallas. I'm deep at Rb and I needed TE help desperately. I would never offer this trade in any other normal keeper league.

 
Gave Westbrook and Henderson for Dunn and Glenn.

I am 1-4 and awful at WR in a start 3 league, Westy's knee worries me and I will need consistency to make a comeback, I doubt Westbrook plays every game from here out but Dunn and Glenn have had their bye's already so hopefully they can lead my comeback.

Last year there was a thread like this that tracked all the trades (what week, what players involved, etc) all summarized in the first post.For example, something like:Lamont Jordan - Week 2 for Ronnie Brown; Week 4 with A. Bryant for Edge; ETCI found it to be one of the best threads in this forum for information.

in a league where we start:

2QB, 1RB, 2WR, 1 WR/RB, 1TE, 1PK, 1D/ST

I traded Huard, Jamal Lewis and Bryant for Alex Smith and Corey Dillon

He had green and huard was worthless to me in about 2 weeks. My other QB's were Kitna, plummer, and brooks.

 
12 team redraft 0.5 PPR

Just traded Deuce McAllister and J Galloway away for L. Fitzgerald and J. Lewis.

I own both Bryant Johnson and Musa Smith, and Deuce and Galloway are benched behind LJ, McGahee, CJ, and CHambers, so figured I'd take a gamble and hope it pays off for weeks 10+.

Oh my, did I overpay??? Oh well.
