The trades you've made this week...and why? (1 Viewer)

While I am an unhappy Jamal Lewis owner, I won't just give the guy away. I just got this offer:

"I'll give you Braylon Edwards for him, his avg. is twice as high as Jamal..."

needless to say, I passed.

I gave: S. DavisGot: FWPEveryone is off him for some reason. 1 bad game against NE.Staley is a bum and will get hurt once healthy. One other point.....we play our first playoff week the week after Wildcard weekend.

12 team re-draft standard scoringTraded: Kevin BarlowGot: Tatum BellNow i have Edge,Anderson,T.Jones,Bell,Dayne.. Now I have the peace of mind of locking up the Den. running game for the season

8 player keeper league, 12 teams, keep 4 offense/4 defense (IDP).1 QB/1 RB/3 WR/1 TE/1 WR/RB FlexTraded: WR Joe HornReceived: QB Kerry CollinsMy QBs are now Collins, Jake Delhomme, and Trent DilferMy WRs are now Keenan McCardell, David Givens, and Darrell JacksonMy RBs are now Edgerrin James, Warrick Dunn (Flex), and Kevin JonesI'm also working on trading KJ for Marvin Harrison in that same league.

12-team league, keep 2 playersGave Corey Dillon, Mark Bulger, Brandon JacobsGot Julius Jones, Andre Johnson, David CarrI did it because I like Jones better than Dillon for this year, and for the future. Also, I like AJ to recpver from his slow start - he will be a nice WR3 and a sure-fire upgrade over Joey Porter. Carr will be my backup behind McNair. All in all I think it is a break even trade for me for this year... which I don't normally DO break even trades... but at 0-3 in a tough league it doesn't hurt to look to the future, and Jones will be a much better keeper than Dillon. The other guy did it because he just lost Pennington as his starting QB. Dillon isn't too much of a downgrade from Jones (this year) and he has Tiki, so getting Jacobs made sense. His team is 3-0 and definitely better off for this year... for the future, not so much.

Gr, I cant decide on FWPs value right now. Guy keeps egging me on with S. Jackson and I am hovering over the accept trade button as I type this......

Alright, time to bump this for Week 7.Just traded Tatum Bell for Larry Fitzgerald in a standard scoring, redraft league.Let's see what else is going on out there.

Traded CJ for R Moss straight up. Keeper league, keep 4.CJ is a little over hyped. With Housh back, he's a 1,300 yd 10 td WR. Which is great, but Moss has a cieling of 1,600 16 TDs, which I like more. And surprisingly, CJ is just a year younger. Over the next 4-5 years, I still have Moss ahead of CJ.So with age being a wash, Moss' insane numbers, I love the deal. But most people in the AC forum disagree. :/

just traded:Jamal, Stallworth (throw in) and my 2nd rounderfor Bell, R.Wayne(4 player keeper league)i'm the MA owner, and a big Denver fan so i am happy....plus jamal was frustrating the ##### out of me

Keep-7 league, 16 teams, no-TE required, TD-heavy scoringTraded Tony Gonzalez & Ashley Leliefor Darrell Jackson & Chris PerryBuilding depth for next season, as these are all bench players for 2005 except for Gonzo. Who was gettin' benched anyway. ack!! I'm glad to be done with him.

Very good trade. D-jax is a top 10 wr.

yes, but you gotta have the patience (and depth) to wait for his return. The guy I traded with was desperate for starting players right away. Emotions are always such valuable trading partners.

Trades I made on Sunday. These players don't come to my team until this week's games.Gave: Ahman Green and Micheal ClaytonGot: Thomas Jones and Andre JohnsonGave: Marc Bulger and Antonio BryantGot: Culpepper and BurressI made the trades to upgrade my WR corps. I got Thomas Jones as his injury status was in doubt. Some places indicated 2-3 weeks and then surprise he started. So that was good and then by some stroke of luck I moved Bulger and he goes down last night. All in all I think I came out good.Edit to Add - My team is now as belowQB - Culpepper, Brunell, and Griese(haven't dropped yet)RB - Julius Jones, Kevin Jones, Thomas Jones, Ricky WilliamsWR - Hines Ward, Burress, A. Johnson, Bruce, and GabrielTE - LJ Smith, Courtney AndersonK - Feely and MareDef - Chicago and Dallas

I'm trying to work a trade with two owners who don't know that I'm dealing with both.I need an upgrade at QB and an upgrade at WRTeam #1 has QB depth (Bledsoe, Brady, Ben) and needs an upgrade at WRTeam #2 needs a QB desperately.I'm offering Team #1 Wayne or Branch for Brady. If that is accepted, then I'm offering Team #2 Hasselbeck for Boldin. It might work because of the needs of each team involved. Before:Hasselbeck and WayneAfter:Brady and Boldin

I finalized a deal on Saturday night that sent Drew Bennett away and received Ahman Green. It's a keep 5 league (Start QB, RB, WR, TE, 3 Flex, PK D) and because I'm an idiot (and because protection lists were due in July) I didn't keep Thomas Jones, so my keepers were Deuce, Curtis Martin, Harrison, Steve Smith and Michael Clayton. With Deuce going down, I didn't want to have only CuMar and a bunch of question marks at RB and Bennett wasn't getting into my starting lineup so I pulled the trigger hoping that Green picks it up after his BYE.I've now got Collins, McNair, CuMar, AGreen, Mike Anderson, Antowain Smith (WW pickup), Harrison, Steve Smith, Clayton, Cooley, Jerramy Stevens as my core guys.I kinda feel bad that Bennett got hurt after the trade, but that's the nature of the beast.

Trade finally went through this AM. Duckett for J. Smith. Me, hurt at WR with byes, DJax, then R. Moss on Sunday. Him, lacking a RB of significance besides R. Brown. This trade was agreed on Friday at 2:50 AM EDT with a 2 day voting period. We live in Phoenix and the trade was not cleared by CBS till this morning. Neither player would have impacted our gamed this week, but it sucked timing wise. Duckett getting hurt as well caused the other owner second thoughts and he attempted to get out of the trade. Sorry to vent.

I traded Kevin Jones, Steve Smith, Brandon Lloyd, Washington D, Matt Schaub and Patrick PassforStephen Jackson, Kelly Holcomb, Robert Ferguson, Joey Harrington, St. Louis D, and Aaron Stecker.I am 1-5 and I still have hope at the playoffs, but I could not risk a Kevin Jones injury or bad performance. I think Robert Ferguson could be a decent 2 receiver. I already have Lamont Jordan so I have a nice 1-2 combination with he and Steven Jackson. I will drop Joey Harrington. I will only keep St. Louis so no one else gets them v New Orleans. I can not use Brandon Lloyd and his tough schedule right now. The other owner needed Washington this week against San Fran and has Mike Vick and Corey Dillon. I also wanted Holcomb because I'm unsure about McCown and Simms and he has a very nice schedule.

Traded T Jones and S Smith for B Leftwich and R Moss leaving me with the team in my signature belowOther owner was a big Chicago fan, and in need of a RB. I originally wanted just a QB to replace Vick week 8, but thought I'd try and get Moss while I was at it.I think in the long run I came out on top for sure. I loved Smith but he is no Moss IMO.

You pretty much traded KJ, Steve Smith, Lloyd for S-jax. Holcomb, Harrington are not worth a roster spot. Fergy/STL D/Stecker were not worth a spot a month ago. Ouch.

14 team Dynasty trade that I made last Thursday:My 1st rounder in 2006 and Fred Taylorfor his Brunell, Marvin Harrison and Thomas Jones.McNabb was on a Bye and I had no healthy backup QB's. Thomas Jones replaces Fred to pair up with LT and I plug Harrison in for an injured Darrell Jackson. I'm currently undefeated and almost a lock for making the playoffs so the 1st rounder figures to be mid-round at best. I was lacking some needed depth and planning on shopping Taylor at some point before the beginning of next season anyway, so I like this trade for this year a lot.

I am offering Mike Anderson for Rod Smith. We only start 2 WRs and the other guy also has Owens, Holt, Randel El and Stallworth so he's got plenty of depth there. His RBs are Edge, Foster, Shipp and Gordon so he could use the help at RB.

Traded Fergusun for HornI have depth at WR and thought I would roll the dice and get Horn in hopes he can help me for the playoffs.WR I now haveC.JohnsonA.BoldinJ.HornN.BurlesonD.GivensStart 3I hope it was a shark move?

10 team redraft. All TDs = 6 points. Start 1QB, 2RB, 4WR/TE, K, DEF.I was in a 3 team trade.I gave Tony Gonz to team A.Team A gave Andre Johnson to team B.Team B game me Matt Hasselbeck.I have a pretty decent WR/TE core (though my depth is now hurting a little bit because of the Drew Bennett injury and bye weeks). But was losing games due to erratic QB play among my QBBC of Brooks, McNair and Griese. Not to mention I love Hasselbeck's schedule down the strech. Even if SA takes most of the red zone TDs for the Seahawks, Hasselbeck provides me with a consistant 15-20 QB points a week, which i need.Team A is in disarray at 1-5 and was just looking to change his roster up a bit. Plus Gonzo has nowhere to go but up.Team B prefered a WR instead of a TE. I origianlly proposed Gonzo for Hasselbeck straight up but it was rejected, so we worked this deal out instead. Team B has a decent WR core so he can sit on AJ until he comes around. All in all, I think I was the big winner out of this trade because of the consistancy I can get from Hasselbeck.

Dynasty League. PPRJust traded a 3rd Round Pick for Dominic Rhodes.I only need a 1 week filler (Caddy, Freddy on bye).I am going to start him alongside Edge against Houston.Should be interesting, but I think they both put up big #s.

A Sunday morning Dynasty trade between 2 competitors in the same division.Team A gets RB Curtis MartinRB Ricky WilliamsTeam B getsRB Kevin JonesRB Anthony ThomasTeam A lost Duece for the year and T Jones was iffy. Needed viable starters the rest of teh year.Team B has the stockpile of non-stud RBs in the league.

Interesting play...

I just figure Dom Rhodes is going to see a big increase in touches this week, and it is never a bad idea to have the "handcuff".If Indy can get up by 3 scores it becomes the Dom Rhodes show. I think he could easily put up 80 yards, and 1 TD (also a few receptions).I debated on making a move for a guy like M. Moore, but I just didn't want to give up that much compensation for someone that will likely be sitting on my bench the rest of the year.

16-team, 4-man keeper league. I'm the only undefeated team left due to LT-Edge-Chad Johnson-Shockey-Rackers-Bucs. Traded Barlow, who hasn't left my bench, for Coles. The other team had Rudi-JJ-Chris Perry-Tony Fisher for RBs and Holt-Galloway-R. Smith-Coles for WRs. I still have Moore for LT and Edge's bye weeks, and hopefully Coles will give me a better WR 2 than the combo of AJ-Engram-Lloyd. I think it was a good trade for both sides.

Just made this trade in my keep 1 league (my keeper will probably be Edge):gave:Westbrook & Keenan McCardellgot:Randy Moss & Corey DillonI know they are both HURT at the moment but I feel that I have enough depth to keep them on the bench and hopefully they are 100% or close to it when I make my run in the playoffs. (I'm currently 2nd highest scoring team in my league and tied for first in my division)I now have:QB - start 1: Bulger, FreesRB - start 2: Thomas Jones, Edge (#3 & #4 scoring backs in my league), Dillon (#9), Mike Anderson WR - satrt 2, 1 wr/te: Holt, Randy Moss, Joe Jurivicous, Rod Smith, Eddie Kennison, Brandon Lloyd, Chris HenryK: SHayne GrahamDe: Bears, RavensMcCardell was just riding the bench for me anyways. He hasnt' seen the field since I traded for him. Now, Moss can take his spot and once Moss is healthy, I will have a lethal 1-2 punch at wr.My RB spots are now filled. Westbrook gave me that 1 great week, but other than that he has just been soso. -- TD league with some points for yardage bonusesI think I made out like a bandit.Even if Moss and Dillon dont' pan out, I felt that I had to take this chance. (I believe they will both be back next week )I wasn't trading away any starters. Granted, Westbrook has an easy schedule come playoff time, but Gordon, MOats ..crowded backfield..Too many guys to come in at the goaline situations.

12-team redraft, TE required, 1pt/20 yards, 1/50 in passing yards

My team (5-1)

Gives up:

Carson Palmer, Brian Griese

Chris Chambers

Tony Gonzalez

Other guy (6-0)

Gives up:

Mark Brunell, Jake Delhomme

Brandon Lloyd

Antonio Gates

this is basically Palmer/Gonzo for Brunell/Gates, with position fillers & tweaks everywhere else.

A few trades I made this week (we only get 3 waivers per year and unlimitted IR waivers for guys listed as OUT/DOUBTFUL/or on IR) -I traded Westbrook, Horn and CrockerforWillie parker, DeShaun Foster, Troy Polomalu and John Carneythen traded Nick Ferguson for Ken Hamlin (who I then put on IR and picke dup Derrick Gibson)Then traded Edinger for Chad Pennington (who I placed on IR and picked up Mark Brunnell)On paper I got screwed...but I have no confidence in a healthy return for Horn. And the IR guys essentially gave me free waivers for players I wanted to add to my team. The only guy I will miss is Westbrook...but I have a deal line dup with the Stephen Davis owner for DeShaun Foster where i will get Tatum Bell (not straight up...but it won't cost much).

I'm in one dynasty league that is a very bad league with little activity and a few jerks, so I have decided this will be my last year. I've made some moves to make my team better for this year and I am really treating it as a redraft league as of now. With that said, I think I improved my team for this year with these trades, etc.Move 1: Picked up Joe Horn (yes, someone dropped him)Trade 1: Traded Duece for Ward- I had all of the disappointing WR's (AJ, Clayton, Roy, Walker) so this gave me a more reliable vet, plus I was ready to drop McAllister outright.Trade 2: Gave JJones, Mike Clayton, Edwards for Edge- Again, gives me a more reliable vet RB and I had the WR depth to spare. My new lineup is:EManningLeftwichEdgeMcGaheeRudi/CaddyHornWardCJBench:BrooksRudi/CaddyShippColesRoyAJ

14 team redraft.I traded J. Lewis + B. Roethlisberger for Fred Taylor. Picked up B. Jones from the FA pool to fill the empty slot.I've got Brees and McCown left at QB. I really don't expect Warner to start again unless McCown gets hurt or falters badly - in which case I can just pick him up.My RB's are Barber, Taylor, and FWP.I have no confidence in Lewis anymore and his schedule over the next few weeks is tough. Wouldn't surprise me if he starts splitting 50/50 with Taylor soon. I'm sitting at 2-3-1 and need to start winning. Fred's got some nice matchups coming up and although he is on a bye, I wasn't going to play Lewis anyway.

12 Team Redraft. Traded CULPEPPER & SAMIE PARKER for CHRIS BROWN, JOEY GALLOWAY, & HOLCOMB.I was starting Hass the last few weeks anyways and took some injury licks at WR & RB with DJax & KJones. I hated giving up CPepp this week because I think he'll have a good game against the Pack.... but accepted the deal anyway.

Redraft league, yardage only. Traded Bettis for Barlow. Only options were Bettis or RW to start. Couldn't afford another 5 yards out of Bettis and other guy has FWP.

Big one here:2 man keeper league...fairly big money...Traded Priest, F. Taylor, Boldin, R. Smith, PIT Def for D. Mason, T. Holt, LTGot enough at WR off the WW (10 team league) that I'm not too worried about Holt's injury...and he can really help when he comes back. LT becomes a great keeper for me to go along with Stephen Jackson. My RB stable is deep enough to handle the hit as well.

Did 2 trades this past weekend.gave: Westbrook & McCardellgot: Randy Moss & Dunngave: Brandon Lloydgot: Deion BranchI couldn't pass up Moss on that deal. My rb's were pretty deep.As for the second, I felt Branch would give me better numbers with a better qb.Even though, Lloyd is the #1 in SF, he has no one that can throw him the ball this year so I had to get what I can for him.Keep 1 league, td heavy league with bonus for yardage

12 team redraft, start 1/2/2/1/1/1 no flexGiving up Dunn/Muhammed for Driver/ J. LewisDunn was on my bench behind Priest/Westbrook, and my starting receivers (Harrison on a bye) would have been R. Smith and Muhammed or Givens :X . The other guy has Moss/TO at WR but had no viable RB2 behind T. Jones.

Sunday morning, a guy in my local 10 team redraft PPR league emailed asking what it would take to get A Bryant. He needed a bye week filler. With CJ, Wayne, Horn, Moulds, Givens & TT I could afford to lose Bryant--no big deal, so I said make an offer. He came back with an offer of M Anderson. This is after 2 straight weeks where it looked like Bell was taking over, but I'd still rather have the depth at RB, so I took it.Another owner was going nuts all week trying to cover RB byes and couldn't get anything done, so I offered him MA (figuring even if he splits carries he's better than nothing). I already have Holmes, Westy, T Jones & S Davis so a MA splitting carries/on the way out is no great loss. I also included T Dilfer in the offer (who I was going to drop for McCown anyway). I had the Steelers & Bengals Ds playing each other and didn't want to start either so I asked for the Redskins D (for the SF match up) and asked him to pick up McCown and include him in the deal. We are limited to 15 add/drops per year, so getting him to do that saves one of my own moves. The deal worked out for both of us with WAS doubling either of my Ds scores, and MA getting most of the work for Denver. I was already starting Brunell at QB, so McCown's flop wasn't an issue.I wound up beating my brother (who was 6-0 and had lead the league in points 4 of those 6 weeks). In retrospect though, after the game MA had, I wish I had held onto him (or gotten more out of the deal). Hindsight

a 3 way trade took place this morning. Not from my squad, but 3 other owners. I just wanted to share so folks would know who's going around for what.(high/low)Team A got:TO, Mike Williams, Ronnie Brown(he now has: Alexander, Lamont Jordan, Ronnie Brown, TO, CHad Johnson, Galloway  )Team B got:Fitzgerald, Dominick Davis, Terry Glenn(he now has: DD, Rudi, Duckett, JJ Arrington, Glenn, Fitzgerald, Horn, D.Mason )Then Team B did another trade:Team B got:Jimmy Smith, Tiki Barber(now he has Tiki, Rudi, DD, Duckett, Jimmy Smith, Horn, Glenn, D. Mason)Team C got:Fitzgerald, JJ Arrington(he now has Priest, LJ, SJax, JJ, Fitz, Lloyd, TJ Houshmanzadeh)Team A is currently in first in his division and was looking to get another STUD WR and He got it.Team B is in last place and needed a huge shake up and make a run for the playoffs.Team C just wanted to get Fitz. Team C and A had a talk the other night, but nothing worked out until they got a 3rd team involved.*edit*Before this trade, I tried for To for Holt and some other throw ins.He declined cause he didn't like Holt.

Turns out, I didn't make this trade. At about 3:00am Sunday morning a fourth veto vote went in and my trade was vetoed. :hot: Man I was ticked. The guy who I traded with was stuck grabbing Wright as a FA and was none to pleased either. We both won this week, but I wanted Taylor and am extremely disappointed in my league mates for the veto. Probably a knee-jerk reaction but I waived Lewis. he sucks anyway.

Just had a deal accepted this morning in a very sharky 12 team redraft.

I'm 6-1 and traded with a 2-5 team in my division who is at the point where if he doesn't make a serious run playoffs are out.

He had Bettis as his best option at RB2, so I offered him FWP and Brooks for Bulger. He had to throw in a player to even it and chose Stokley.

I still have Holmes/LJ, T Jones & Droughns at RB.

At QB I have McCown & Garcia to cover until Bulger is healthy (hoping for the week after their bye).

I like Bulger irregardless, but especially the SF game the week we have our FF Superbowl.

The team I traded with also happens to be the closest competition in my division, so I'm up 4 games plus a H-t-H win. My team would have to seriously collapse over the next 7 weeks to not make the playoffs. Planning ahead.

Obviously it remains to be seen, but at the moment I'm really stoked about this deal. :D

Traded: Priest and StallworthforTO and Chris Brown. Hating the Priest/LJ split and was getting killt by WR injuries. (Walker, Holt). Still have LJ so, could be a steal if Priest goes down.

12 team start QB/2RB/2WR/TE/K/D.Traded Galloway and Antowain Smith for H. Ward. At RB I'm left with Dillon/T. Jones/C. Brown/M. Anderson/T. Bell/Barlow, so still plenty of depth, and at WR I now have S. Smith/Driver/Ward/Bennett. Smith is splitting carries with Stecker and I had several RBs ahead of him in the pecking order on my team, and I just don't like Galloway's odds of keeping up his pace with Griese out for the year, so I thought now was the time to unload both of those guys. I was hoping for C. Johnson from another owner (and was willing to include Driver to do it), but he wasn't biting.
