There's one guy I feel really sorry for (1 Viewer)

In the midst of all the celebration, (And I have to say, I loved every minute of this game), there's one guy I really feel sorry for...

Junior Seau.

Here's a guy who always gave 200% and more every time he stepped on the field throughout his career. He was thought over the hill several years ago, but he came out of retirement and had a terrific, impactful year. He is a certain first ballot HOFer, but You know what he really wanted was a ring. Now, I'm doubting he'll be back.

After the Brady to Moss touchdown, we all saw him fiercely hug Bruschi. I can't imagine how they're feeling right now. But at least Teddy's got three rings. Junior's got memories, and a "what if" feeling for the rest of his life.

It's tough to feel sorry for a guy who has been overrated his entire career, continues to hang on only because of 'roids, and plays for the Pats.

Actually the guy I feel bad for is Wes Welker (even though I'm SO glad the Cheatriots lost!). He is a class guy who most never gave a chance. When the Cheatriots really needed a play, it was always him they went to. He was the true MVP of their team. Still, I'm glad this shuts up Brady and Moss!!

I would have felt ten times worse for guys like Strahan and Toomer, who stayed with the team they were drafted by instead of going to a dynasty just to get a ring and quit.

here's an exact opposite...

Here's a funny side note... Hixon, return man for NYG was CUT from the Broncos early in the year as a statement by Shanny to the Special teams. Hixon did a great job for NY and got himself a ring

Also add in Hedgecock..

Why feel sorry for Seau? Just because he picked the wrong team to try and get a cheap ring with?

I feel bad for anyone who has to speak to Belicheat in the next day or two. He's liable to kill someone, especially when the NFL fines him for leaving the field before the game was over despite the Lead Official trying to get him to go back to his sideline. I would think that this is the first super bowl that ended with one of the head coaches pouting in the locker room while his team lined up for the final play.

Belichick wanted this so bad to stick it to the league and he failed. It was obvious he cared more about being undefeated than winning the Super Bowl when he went all out at the end of the season instead of sitting starters.

Can't stand it when guys past their prime go to a great team to try to gravy train a ring. Carl Malone, I'm also looking in your direction. Don't feel too bad for him.

:lmao: i loved seau in sd, but unretiring how many times to try and get a cheap ring with NE? Surves him right. And the depths of the classlessness of Belicheat gets getting bigger!

Ditto. Long-time SD fan and always liked Seau. Interesting how Belichick got him out of retirement and what an amazing comeback (or two, counting his broken arm last year). But, what about Feagles!

Welker was my vote for a NE MVP (with about 4 min left in the game)...

I feel bad for people from Boston. Not only did their team choke (even with the help of knowing the G-Men's signals), but they continuously butcher the English language bringing further shame on themselves.

Don't feel even the slightest bit sorry. The man has made a king's ransom playing a child's game. Should just go to show that being a great player is not enough to warrant a Super Bowl victory.

werd - add what's his name the PG to that listbad enough to do it for the ring - add in the inflated contract and it's even worse - cause if the money were right they would have played out the string where they were most likely

Seau wanted to play but retired as a Charger for 1 more day b/c no one wanted him, then the Pats came calling, why are you guys all over him for that.

Bingo!

Amani Toomer and Michael Strahan were amazing tonight. How did Strahan NOT get MVP? I'm most excited for Eli and Coughlin. If you're them , how do you resist not walking around Manhattan and Jersey with both middles up? Seriously. I've never seen a guy as hated so early in his career as Eli.

Come on now, I know Giants fans are pretty high right now, but Seau always appeared to be a class act to me, lets show some class...
