Is there one human alive that is more innocent than any dog alive? If you're saving the life of a living thing based innocence the dog would win every time, wouldn't it? This is a point I've brought up before. The planet Earth and all living things would benefit from the extinction of humans because we are easily the least innocent of all. Humans have done far more harm to the planet and all of it's living things than any other species. Thus, a dog's life is more valuable to this planet than a humans life from an objective, non-religous point of view.

I missed this entire thread ... but I have read a few random pages of this post and there are certian things that I have not seen at all, mentioned or discusssed.

I think that when you say "stranger" someone assumes a middle aged man. What if the "stranger" is a clild (either a boy or girl) or a woman. Would your "dog" replies still be the same?

Also, I have had many a dogs, and each one of them is more resourceful, stronger (pound for pound), and would be much more inclined to get them selves out of a jam.

Well, at least to overcome pain, injury and broken bones at an attempt at self preservation. Moreso then most average men (humans) can tolerate.

Over the years I have seen dogs work through some pretty horrible pain to stay alive. I had a german sheppard that was hit by a car, crushed her him and ####ed her up pretty badly. She crawled back, unable to use her hind legs or hips for half a mile to get back to me.

Simply amazing at what dogs have the will to do.
