Things that only Happen in Florida! (1 Viewer)

Meh. There are definitely weird thingd that go on here that don't go on other places. But there are articles in this thread that could happen any place but people laugh because it's Florida.

Opiod epidemic is everywhere. Spousal abuse knows no borders. Rednecks are common in multiple places.

But chasing a neighbor with a tractor? DUUUUUVALLLLL

I would agree there is things that need to be improved on such as the school system and wages.  Overall I think it has improved as a place to live.  However if you like seasons and dislike humidity probably not the place for some people.  I just think we get a bad rap just as California did a few years ago.  It just seems to me if it was so bad we would not have the influx of people we have had.
Fwiw, you posted immediately on the heels of and in response to that despicable supposed stand your ground post...without any condemnation of  it. makes it come across as if you're defending that too. If so- for me at least- taints anything else you're saying.

Methheads, crazies...we've all got those. Gators...not so much.

Sorry not defending that law.  Just the state.  I believe in the right to own a weapon but i don't own one.  I have not even fired a weapon since I was in the Army.

There's actually a :nerd: reason why you always read about this crazy crap always from Florida: Flordia's got a unique law which gives reporters access to all police reports and all government documents, meeting notes, emails, facebook posts, whatever.

Crazy stuff happens at probably the same rate in every other state, but, only in Florida do the newspaper reporters looking for a story to fill a quarter page have access to preliminary documentation like police reports. In many other states it's not until charges are filed, an arrest is made, or there's an arraignment or hearing does this stuff become public info.
Stop ruining this thread.

Not sure why the caption read Mandarin, Duval County though(which happens to be my neighborhood). Lake George is an hour+ away.
Yea well you know that station is down in S. Florida might as well be New York for all they know about Central and North Florida.  I fish that lake all the time we put in at Astor either fish Dexter,Woodruff,or George.  Those lakes are great for speck and bass.  Seen some big gators in George, but never that big.  That damn thing is as big as some of the boats I have been in out there.  Here is another pic of a gator out of George.

HFS.  (I think the truck is being repo'ed ratjher than towed.)

Reading the article, seems the truck was being repo'd so he likely wasn't getting the truck back.

He had nothing to lose at that point ... except his freedom.
Okay, that would be a good reason to not care then

Funny, just watched the movie Role Models last night and that picture was almost out of the movie.
