Things you want to tell an owner in your league (1 Viewer)

1) Ladell Betts is not going to be a future NFL starting RB (I guess he can be this year's darling Mo Morris. His own team doesn't view him as a possible starter.....)

2) Curtis Martin is not playing again. Give it up already. You don't bring in Barlow with the money he's due if there's any hope of Curtis coming back. As a steroid abusing slugger once said, I"m not here to talk about the past...

I feel better already. I'll think of some more later. Feel free to chime in & vent

You wasted your 2nd round pick on Dom Davis...

What reason do you have to believe that Duckett would play full-time ahead of Betts? I can see arguments for both sides but certainly nothing as definitive as you're making it out to be.

I dunno  as far as football goes there is nothing that should be off limits. Why would you be affraid to taunt or talk trash to another owner. That's what the game is all about.

For me, things that I want to tell another owner but better judgement won't let me are ...

"Wow, your wife sure is fat."

"Damn, your kids are ugly, not to mention they have never been disclipned and it is starting to show."

Actually, come to think of it ..... I have no problem telling people these things either.

:bag: He was my 5th player added to my squad after declaring Keepers.. Still :bag:Edited to add.. We drafted back in Mid-July so I don't feel half as bad as I would have had I drafted within the last couple weeks.

What I'd like to say: shut the #### up

To: the guy pissing and moaning about how long the draft takes.

I would like to tell a particular owner to go screw himself for grabbing my LJ handcuff- Michael Bennett right before I was about to...

/cry

Donavan Mcnabb is not a top 3 quarterback anymore
Corey Bradford is a nice pick - just not in round 2

See, these are all things that I actually enjoy telling other owners. Pointing things like this out is what makes leagues fun in the first place.

None of us think it's coincidence that you just happen to be playing each team when his keeper is on their bye week.

Also, you guys talk smack like ########.

Here are a few things that actually WERE said during our 12 team draft:

1. Curtis Martin? Ouch. (3rd round)

2. You do know that Neil Rackers is a KICKER, right? (5th round)

3. Do you plan to follow up your Priest Holmes 8th round selection with Barry Sanders in the 9th?

4. Taken. Taken. Taken. Taken. Nope, taken.

To Mr. Handcuff Thief who spends half the draft stealing everyone's handcuffs:

"Dude, you have been doing this for 10 years and it almost never pays off. You end up damned near last in the league every year when these shmucks play 3 quarters of football and you are starting Mewelde Moore and Brandon Toefield"

On second thought, let him continue. Only good handcuff he ever stole was LJ last season and I traded him Ricky Williams and Laverne Coles the 4th week of preseason. Way to use the trade bait. Idiot.

The reason I was late getting back to the draft table in the third round had more to do with your wife's humming and less with the mexican food I had at lunch.

I would have, except I wasn't present at the draft. I had to draft via IM and never had the chance to talk to him personally. I did express my opinion in the IM chat session, however.

I hate this one. Dang it, keep up or get out. Nothing worse then a draft being delayed by 1 person continuly picking someone and 9 others chiming in.. TAKEN!!
Actually this is one of my favorite parts. Hilarity always ensues as the drunk guy scrambles to decipher the "Drafted RB" list and proceeds to pick Curtis Martin. Even better is when he triumphantly declares how stupid we all are for letting Curtis slip to the 8th round. This always gives me an easy mid-day boost to my superiority complex that carries me through the end of the draft. Why say no to a freebie?

I am in a 12 team league entering its 15th season. This year we have a new owner who knows one of the other owners in the league and no one else.

So he sends out an e-mail to the rest of the league as a means of introduction. It read -

Hey guys, I am really looking forward to being in the league. Hope none of you are upset when I kick your #####. By the way, why is the chick in the league? So the rest of us are guaranteed at least 1 win?

Now we may have all been thinking this, but it took the new guy to put it in writing.

The 100+ pages of stuff you printed from the Internet won't do you much good if you're clueless in the first place. :wall:

In a 14 team snake draft...

Jake Delhomme (1.14) and TJ Housh (2.1) might be the worst first round turn picks I've ever seen.

To the tool that sat beside me at my draft on Sunday:

1. It's easier to follow along with who has been taken if you cross them off your list when they are selected.

2. It's easier to have the bye week schedule in front of you, instead of asking what bye week player x has.....

3. It's easier to draft in the later rounds when you rank enough players for the draft. Who shows up with only 150 players ranked when you KNOW that 216 are going to be selected?!

4. FOR THE LOVE OF YOUR MOTHER READ YOUR OWN CHEATSHEETS!!!
