I like Cigar City, it just seems to ALWAYS get picked for these kinds of lists...and while CC definitely put Florida craft beer on the map and they continue to make some really good beer, there are several other breweries that I would rank ahead of them if we're talking "best" Florida brewery. Are they one of the best? Sure. They're easily the biggest and they're pretty much a household name in the craft game now, and you can find their beer everywhere, which is great...but they seldom wow me with their new releases like they used to. They make solid beer, no doubt, and pretty much every style under the sun. But so many other breweries are putting out insanely good stuff, so I tend to seek them out and use CC as my fall back when I need or want something cheap and close by.
