Tiger Woods (6 Viewers)

The thing about the Players is that it's the hardest to win. It's the hardest to handicap. It's the most random to win AND the best field. So when the best player wins it, it's a much bigger statement than it would be winning your garden variety event. You have to play well AND overcome randomness. That's why Tiger has only won one.

Woods won the Players for the first time since 2001 and joined Fred Couples, Davis Love III, Hal Sutton and Steve Elkington as the only two-time winners at TPC Sawgrass.

On the 14 par 4s & 5s today, Woods hit driver three times
Which is why he has to be heavily favored in our national championship next month
Yea...the way he's hitting the red wood bodes well. I'd bet he'll putt better than he did this week too.The fact that he'll be such a favorite on a course like this shows just how great a player he's been....it's the opposite of Augusta circa '97, where he was unbeatable to the degree they had to change the course.

So in his last two wins we've seen two pretty prominent players fold right in Tiger's shadow on Sunday. I think the fear factor is back.

can I get a ruling on whether or not Lindsey Vonn is hot?
I think she's walking-down-the-street hot, but nowhere in the league of his ex wife. I'm actually surprised at his choice. With his money and fame, he can do much better. I'd say she's an 8 to the everyday guy, but only a 6 to a guy with Wood's fame and fortune.

Nice non-major win.#noonecares #learntowinwhenitmatters
zoo will no longer bet me // how bout you ####o?
What's the terms of the bet and how much?
Tiger beats Jack's record of majors. Long term bet. Same terms and amount as zoo has with Otis - I think its $1K.
i'm not waiting 15-25 years for a bet to settle, that's ridiculous.

Wittenberg said he saw it perfectly. Where's the problem?

You can't judge anything by those TV views.

And lol @ the Ziegler guy.

Wittenberg and his caddie were in agreement with Tiger on his drop location, so there was no attempt to cheat and move closer to the hole. Although, it is possible that he was up further than where he should have dropped. But there shouldn't be an issue if they all agreed on the spot. Garcia might have complained but Wittenburg didn't.

Definitely looked like a favorable spot, but if that's what they saw, that's what they saw. The angle from the tee on a lateral hazard can be tough. Regardless, he made double, which he'd have certainly managed from wherever would have been the scientifically proven entry point.

So someones just going to cry foul every time Tiger steps onto a course? THE HEM ON HIS PANTS IS 1/18" TOO LOW! PENALTY STROKE!

I don't like Sergio anymore.

Was Tiger wearing any pink yesterday? A ribbon or anything? Didn't see it. Kind of dooshy to not at least pin a ribbon on your hat.

Where are we looking to tattle on Tiger today?
LMAO
14th hole.
Like clockwork.

First claim he's washed up. Then when he turns out to come back and be the best player in the world again, dominating the PGA, well, as a fallback, just got on the horn and call PGA and claim he's cheating a bunch. This isn't all that different from that time Ham got frustrated and phoned the Feds.
Johnny Miller did question his drop yesterday.

Sergio's reception at the next US-hosted Ryder Cup could be pretty interesting.
That crossed my mind too. He had a tin cup moment there on 17. Then hooked 18 into the drink.

Did you see him back off his iron shot on 18 after the spectator yelled out "there's water on the left"?

Felt bad for the guy. I never disliked Sergio except during those times when he was the human rain delay. Stood forever over his ball.

Johnny Miller brought it up on the broadcast, but it was quickly shot down by someone who was following the group.
I'm pretty sure I recall Rolfing's first response being that the location they were looking at was way too far down. He quickly changed his tune after the drop.

Sergio's an #######.

When he won the battle at Big Horn ~10 years ago, my friend (a member) congratulated him in the locker room. The only other person present was Sergio's dad, and Sergio ignored my friend. Sergio's dad was apparently aware of his son's tendencies, and quickly came over to thank my friend for the congratulations and compliment him on the course etc.

One time, my good buddy yelled, "Hey Tiger" out on the course and Tiger didn't wave or anything. *******. :hot:

She's hot. And the fact that she's not only a World Cup champion, but possibly the best female skier there has ever been, gives her a bump.

Might be time to retire this shtick. It was a good run, but the greats know when to walk away.

Missed the initial comment, but when they were on the green and Miller questioned it, Rolfing seemed adamant it was correct.Whttenberg's first 3 questions in his post round press conference were on the drop, and he said he had a good line on the point of entry, said it definitely crossed land a second time. Makes sense it was a popup hook, so it would have been moving R to L, and landed a good 3-4 feet. The drop in the rough was 90 feet back of the splash down.
