First round grade. Should contend for top spot.Ohh. I like that pick. "Anyway...we delivered the bomb."So it gets a first round grade from you, or was the "like" emphasised because it was an ok pick?

It's allowed. Obviously, a scene has to be placed in one of the scene categories, and can't be moved to movies or portrayals, etc. What's the rule on moving picks between categories? Thinking about one that fits several...

One of the most effective scenes in film. We watch Karen be led right into the life of the underworld.
Rules.Sorry about the crap format - I will spruce it up at home.1.10: Robert Shaw telling of the USS Indianapolis incident in Jaws (monologue)Still one of my favorite scenes ever...
Rules1.12 Primal Fear-Best Courtroom Scene
This is one of my favorite movies and IMO one of the best performances from Edward Norton (this is his first film). I was torn between this film and another as best Courtroom scene, but went with this one because it is such an amazing scene and Ed's performance was so bone chillingly awesome. Enjoy!

Ah yes, I should have remembered our conversations in the movie thread on that very topic. I think if you could get away with watching just the clip. Supposedly that whole scene was ad libbed. Pesci told Scorsese a story about telling a mobster he was funny as he was serving him, and the wise guy got pissed off. So he told Joe and Ray to just improvise a scene - none of the other actors knew what was going on as they wanted the surprise to be genuine.I'm here to ###### amuse you?I would have went with "How the #### can you not like that film?"You gotta be kidding. Yeah, that's a great pick. I first watched this in social studies class during junior high, and I was bummed my dad wasn't a hero like Atticus (though he did manage to come in stature as I got older).Geez, how did this one not occur to me?Excellent picks all around today.1.14 Atticus Finch (Gregory Peck) in To Kill a Mockingbird - Best Movie Parent

Nice pick - end of the Big 4 run, no?1.15 2001: A Space Odyssey -- Outer Space
Not really sure where to start here. My first thought when I saw that I was picking 15th was "####, I'm not going to get 2001". It was the first movie I thought of when I read the Outer Space category (Alien and Aliens being second) and is my second favorite sci-fi movie ever. Hell, it's one of my ten favorite movies period.
From Singin' in the Rain)
That was one of 3 or 4 picks I was mulling over. Don't know who is judging this category but that should be the gold standard. With the board "upgrade" I now have no buttons that allow me to post from my work computer. Yay. Sorry for format, but will be a problem unless and until I can get this fixed ("Hello, IT? I can't post on my fantasy football message board anymore.")1.17. The French Connection -car chase scene
Jzilla already has claim to the category. If wikkid doesn't take it. I'll give it a go - this way we can get the criteria out of the way.Oh, and we should try to convince wikkid to judge the Rock and Roll movies.
Hope so. In most categories, several picks came to mind immediately, but in this category this was by far the first thing to come to mind. Yea, the new board is a wee bit wonky - I tried to make my links just the words "part 1" and "part 2" - wouldn't let me.Seriously? I tried to edit my post, and that happened. Not to complain AGAIN, but what'd I do wrong?
It is a good scene, and certainly iconic. I personally feel it's been a bit surpassed in the years that followed (by my pick, anywayHope so. Mrs. R, your post looked fine to me until it was edited; now it looks all jacked up. Not sure what the board issue is on your end; seems we're all dealing with some different issues. :( Thanks for the PM, by the way.

Highlight the words you want to link before you open the dialogue box (which only asks for the URL, not the text like it used to). Or after you close the URL dialogue box, just go into the post and edit the underlined text that is linked (if that makes sense).Yea, the new board is a wee bit wonky - I tried to make my links just the words "part 1" and "part 2" - wouldn't let me.Seriously?
