Tucker Carlson: probably not in deep trouble anymore, but he should be. (2 Viewers)

Wrong.  He doesn’t remain silent, he specifically says that violence is deplorable in all instances. He also says almost nightly that people shouldn’t be judged or treated based on “immutable traits” that they have no control over.

I guess what I’d ask is - what did Tucker say in his show last night that is factually incorrect or inciting violence?
Don't watch of course, so you'll have to unpack that one --

I can’t understand why you wouldn’t watch someone you are so concerned about.  I tune into MSNBC and CNN all the time.  How can you talk definitively about something without seeing it firsthand?  Are you that confident in the media is giving you the complete picture?  I’m not.  I don’t trust what Fox spins without checking it against Liberal sources.  It’s the only way to determine the truth in today’s world.

That's a good question.  Honestly, because I've seen enough from him to know what he is about, but mainly just listening to him pisses me off ---so why put myself through that?

Good for him.  He's in good company with the majority of us here and the civilized world
The “civilized world” you are speaking about (ie - Leftist orthodoxy) has been driving identity politics, which by nature is slotting people into groups based on skin color.  So yeah, it’s the complete opposite of what Tucker and MLK espouse.  You can’t argue this.  It’s fact.  Biden announced in advance that he’d select a black female for the Supreme Court.

ekbeats, you seem like a good guy --not going down that rabbit hole with you -- i think Tucker knows what he's doing to get ratings   --and PLEASE don't ever put Tucker and MLK in the same sentence ever again 🙂

I just watched the full 3 mins. Thanks for the link. I do not see where he sounds like Tucker, you'll have to elaborate. He sounds to me a like a kind, understanding patriot who does not want to see open borders where the US citizens lose jobs to immigrants accepting the extremely low paying wages that the right can't wait to dish out.

He explains why the right wants open borders- to provide the slave labor at $3 an hour they drool over.

He shows where the young unemployment rate is higher among blacks, then Latinos and the whites were high too but the lowest of the 3- young unemployment could be hugely helped with-

----$15 minimum wage.

Bernie is true of soul. If only he was Benjamin Bernie Button.

This country needs Bernie, or at least a clone.
He says bringing in all those workers would make everybody in America poorer.

He all but says bringing in low wage immigrants replace the youth in the job market.

So both Bernie and he agrees that you can't take care of your own if you open your borders to everyone. Another example is where Tucker caused so much controversy when he said illegal immigration causes poor Americans to become poorer. I think he and Bernie agrees on whose jobs are being taken. The last part of the controversy was when he stated that they were also making Americans dirtier. That part does not sound like Bernie. Tucker said that was taken out of context, but I don't know he can be mean sometimes.

Fox's former chief political correspondent said law enforcement will eventually have to step in to "stop the lying" coming from places like Fox News and Tucker Carlson

Deep State got to Carl Cameron…

“Ticket Carlson latched onto that theory in his coverage of the Buffalo shooting, said Cameron, adding that the US government has to take action against people who spread and amplify misinformation.

"Democrats have to kick it in," he said. "The president has to be more forceful and sooner or later the law enforcement and the US government is going to have to stop the lying because it's causing people's deaths."

"It's not just Fox, it's social media in general," he added. "It's on the internet. And we have to remember that a good portion of what we read is coming from folks who aren't Americans, pretending to be Americans in order to gaslight them even worse."

Arrest people for free speech?  The totalitarian left would approve!

If Tucker had used violent rhetoric I'd agree with that.  But he doesn't.  In fact, he says almost nightly that he deplores violence.  I challenge anyone to find a quote from Tucker that espouses violence of any kind.
I think it’s kind of odd that this is something that he would state on a near nightly basis on his show.

Tucker just showed a bunch or deranged MSNBC/CNN clips where they proclaimed January 6th worse than 9/11.  Now I see how the Dozers of the world come up with this nonsense.

They won't.    They are going over the cliff.   Trying to push America first over the edge.
So comical.  This ####### ####### is doing the escalating and pushing BS on his own; and has no answer to his endless questioning diatribes but to try and flip the script.  Classic BS.

Yup, he's a loser alright ---

Grainy images flash across the screen to a screeching soundtrack that sounds like it was ripped from a horror movie:  a prisoner in Abu Ghraib being dragged on a leash, naked detainees being mocked by American military personnel, the sign at Guantanamo Bay prison. A disembodied voice tells viewers, “The left is hunting the right,” tracking them and “sticking them in the gulag, sticking them in Guantanamo Bay for American citizens.”

It's important to note at the start that this is only different from the January 6th false flag conspiracy theories aired on Fox News' Tucker Carlson Tonight in form. The Patriot Purge torture-porn fiasco is essentially Carlson’s repackaging months of his InfoWars-style misrepresentation and conspiracy-mongering. Now, instead of banal cable news aesthetics, there are close camera interviews, lens flares, overwhelming graphic imagery of crimes committed in the war on terror, and a sound effect budget big enough to make Michael Bay jealous.

But put aside the theatrics. Just like Carlson's Fox News show, this series is hellbent on hammering in one conclusion to the viewer: Those who stormed the Capitol on January 6 were righteous patriots, and in order to silence them, the media and criminal justice system have unleashed a domestic war on terror that they will use to target you, the viewer.
Tucker Carlson's revisionist January 6 series is fascist propaganda

Carlson is feeding viewers an alternative version of the January 6 attack that aligns with the conspiratorial, reality-averse worldview he primes his viewer for every night. Carlson’s deadly conspiracy-mongering has the full endorsement of the network, and his agenda-setting power within Republican politics means the deranged claims of Patriot Purge cannot be dismissed as cheap propaganda. Much like with Carlson’s reality distortion around vaccinations, immigration, education, and race, the consequences of consistently producing content intended to terrorize audiences into action are real. Those consequences are not shouldered by Carlson, or his network, but by their viewers, whose lives can be upended by the lies sold to them by Fox News in the name of ratings, and now, subscribers

In terms of loss of life and destruction of property of course 9/11 was much, much worse.   Without a doubt the most horrific attack by a foreign enemy on US soil since Pearl Harbor.  But it was foreign terrorists that did it.

What made 1/6 terrible was we had a sitting POTUS lying to and inciting Americans to attack the US Capitol in an effort to overturn an election so he could remain in power.  I still can't believe that happened in the United States as I type this more than a year later.

9/11 was worse by far but that doesn't excuse what the former President and the "patriots" did on 1/6.   The guy should be in jail but instead we have people like Tucker Carlson and many in the GOP trying to pretend it was no big deal.

Well it was a very big deal to me and I won't vote or support any candidate that tries to minimize it.

What part is not true?  Are you telling me that Trump did not set up the whole narrative of fraud and stolen election prior to the election?  Did Trump not try to get Georgia election officials to "find" 11,000 votes, or claim there was massive election fraud without any proof whatsoever?   Did Trump not ask the vice president to not certify the election?

Was it not Trump that for weeks told his supporters to be there on 1/6 and that "it will be wild"?   Did he not have a rally where he and his invited speakers told the demonstrators to march to the US Capitol while the election certification was in progress?   Did he not sit on his butt watching the violence of the Capitol on TV for 4+ hours before calling off the dogs and telling them that he loved them and they were special people?

To this day Trump continues to tell Americans that the election was rigged despite having lost every recount, audit, court case and not having a single piece of real evidence.  He has convinced millions of Americans that US elections cannot be trusted which is the very core of our Republic.

If you still want to support DJT that's on you but don't try to tell me that what I saw and heard did not happen.

What you said in your previous post was false.

I think Trump would be happy to move onto another talking point, but he cannot think of one.

I have no idea, but I do know that we have to be on high alert if we find out the BLM founders are looking for new mansions to buy.

Tucker made a non-stupid statement:

Tucker: We’re being told that we need to turn America’s elementary schools into a checkpoint at the Gaza Strip border but what’s the point of any of this if the people in charge of keeping our kids safe refuse to engage… https://t.co/v6xPYhjK33

For TC viewers, why do you watch him? For the news? Entertainment?

Any reasonable person should realize these cable news talking heads are toxic, so what is the draw?

For me, it's more about knowing what the toxic right is focusing on. I was a history major in school, focusing on the 20th Century, particularly WW2 and the psychology of how large groups of citizens fell under the spell of madness. I am not comparing TC to Goebbels, but I see similarities in his white nationalistic ideals.

I am as liberal as they come, but I find it fascinating to watch how certain people distort reality and influence large swaths of the population. I see TC as one of those people. He knows what he's doing... now, how much of it he actually believes is another story, but I still find it oddly fascinating in a psychological context. I know a decent bit of the stuff he spouts is nuts, and is dangerous to our society, but it's kinda like watching a slow-motion car wreck.

What, he doesn't have white nationalistic views? I literally watch his show every night. I know there is some toxic #### that's spewed on his show. My favorite is when he has Matt Walsh on. You just know whatever the worst take possible is, he'll find a way to go even lower.

The night of the shooting Tucker had on the Attorney General of Texas and a Texas Ranger at the scene.  Compare that with what MSNBC was pumping out.  Yes there is A LOT of opinion on his show, but, there is no denying he's a powerhouse when it comes to reporting the news.

I think he believes in the principle.

He distorts things he knows will not hold up to scrutiny, things he knows isn't true. He knows his audience doesn't question, and they have no idea he looks down on almost all of them

Put it this way - I can definitely see how a liberal would see it that way.

But I think from any objective position he doesn't even come close to what you're portraying him as.

What is your opinion of people like Rachel Maddow and Joy Reid?

Maddow I see as a typical DNC Talking Point host. She touts the DNC line whatever it may be and will defend it 24/7.  She will also disagree with anything right of center based simply on "sides" alone.

Joy Reid is an extreme left racist liar.  I would say she is the Alex Jones of the left, but that would be insulting Alex Jones.
