What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (2 Viewers)

Anderson Valley Brewing Company - The Kimmie, The Yink & The Holy Gose. Never had the style before so the flavor hit me completely unexpected. Very good after a few sips. Great summer beer.
I love that beer...its one of the very few packaged Goses available here, and a great entry level Gose, IMO. If you see their Blood Orange version, give it a shot. Very good as well.

Im enjoying a Lone Pint's Yellow Rose out of Texas, a Single hop Mosaic IPA. Delicious.

We did a beer exchange in my office a few days ago. Gotta find out who's beer this was and where they got it. After the first sip I didn't know if it was great or awful. I'll definitely look for it again.

The blood orange gose was around a lot the past several months and now the kimmie more so. It's at below deck in conshy. Not sure where you are exactly.

Goses are polarizing...most people either love them or hate them...im actually surprised you liked it since you werent expecting it. I try every Gose I find (as well as pretty much any sour I encounter). No such thing as too sour for me.

Half Acre/Shorts collab Freedom of 78 "Pure Guava IPA"...this is an interesting beer. The guava really smacked me in the mouth, it was REALLY up front and center stage. First couple sips were strange...since then, Im really enjoying it. Nice beer for a warm, humid Florida night. A summer IPA if you will.

Anything really good in Bama that someone could bring back? My friend will be there this weekend.

Where I'm at near Mobile, not much, but I was in a hurry at the store...gonna stop back in tomorrow and take a better look. Lots of breweries/beers I've never heard of, but did see other Westbrooks (don't remember which ones...a DIPA I think and a couple more)...was surprised to see some Cigar City.Saw at least 4 IPAs I'll have a to look up and see if they're worth trying.

Cool, he is at Auburn for his brothers graduation. He is hoping there is something worthwhile to bring back. I'll be in Chicago this weekend and am hopeful I can get some good Half Acre, Pipeworks and 3F.

Back home having a Crank. Wanted to get home ASAP so I only made one more stop for beer on the way back from Alabama...stopped into Proof Brewing in Tallahassee...got a crowler of Kissing Giants (their excellent Gose), and 2 crowlers of White Oak Citra IPA...I wasnt supposed to be abe to get the IPA in crowlers, its a "club only" beer, but the guy pouring didnt know so he filled em...SCORE!

Do you ever go to Leon Pub when you're in Tallahassee? That was the beer spot when I was going to FSU way, way, back.

Ha, I didnt know you went to FSU...Ive heard of it but have never stopped...I rarely go to bars anymore other than local places to meet friends, I pretty much stick to breweries/brewpubs...and Proof always has something delicious, so its my one MUST stop on my Bama trips...I even skipped Swamp Head tonight because I was just ready to be home and didnt wanna prolong it.

Talked to Hawks earlier, he was at Wicked Weed in Asheville, he was having fun at his first beer stop but WW doesnt do flights on weekends (WTF?!) so he had to pick and choose what he tried since hes on the road and driving (he said the Pernicious IPA was really good)...then he was gonna hit NoDa when he got to Charlotte tonight, but they close at...get this...at 9:30 PM....on a FRIDAY NIGHT.

What the hell is wrong with NC and their goofy brewery hours/rules???

Do a Leon Pub stop just once for me at some point.

Little Sumpin' Sumpin'

Dogfish Head Namaste

GI Pepe Nero

Boulevard Tank 7

FFF Wigsplitter

Kind of all over the place here this afternoon.

Currently destroying a few PBR's before my first fantasy football draft of the season. :)

Tried to get a Pliny the Elder from my local beer place, but they sell out hours after it's delivered on Thursdays. Good grief.

Gonna be drinking cheap swill tonight. It's just the way to do it for fantasy football drafts. Steel Reserve 211, Miller Light.... I expect to have a mild hangover tomorrow. Will report back..... Monday.

P.S. Bummed to see Sparkz is no longer out there. That stuff was fantastic back in the day. OK, maybe not.... but a fan favorite of me and my draft pals.

Found Sculpin for 12.99 at Total Wine.

Also picked up a single of Grapefruit Sculpin.

Have to say . . . both lived up to the hype.

Not tonight but earlier this week I had Evil Twin Spicy Nachos

They add corn and jalapeno to the beer and take half the barrel and age it in Tequila Casks

I thought it was okay but not mind blowing for such a limited beer

I also did a flight of their Bret Femme Fatale (Blanc, Yuzu, Sodachi, Kobosu) and wasn't impressed.

Bunch of sours yesterday at a Sour Tap Takeover at a local bar. $35 for 10 6 oz. tasters (well, they said 6 oz., not convinced of that).

Sixpoint Jammer Gose

Russian River Supplication (Still good)

Avery Raspberry Sour

Bell's The Wild One (not as good as I was hoping, though I'm not sure how many sours they've done)

Hardywood Citra Berlinerweisse (pretty good. nice grapefruit notes.)

Allagash Session Brett IPA (pretty much tasted like an IPA, just slightly different. I liked it.)

Smuttynose Daily Brett

Ter Dolen Kriek (super sweet and medicinal)

Goose Island Halia (I liked this. Nice and tart)

Capt Lawrence Cuvee de Castleton (This is rated as a world-class beer on BA. It is . . . interesting. Super raw, unfiltered, and very wine-y)

Pizza Boy Hater's Tears (not great. Very salty, with a little smoky and lemony flavors to me)

Dudes, I found Laganitas Sucks (Brown Shugga Sub) at our Total Wine today...looked for about a year and a half here in FL for this after having too many in Pasadena for the FSU/Auburn game. Total Wine didn't know if it was a temporary thing that they had it in stock...any of you dudes see this around lately? Just cracked my 1st one and its as good as I remember.
