I knew Autumn had arrived when I saw SN Tumbler on the shelves at my beer store last weekend. I'm enjoying some great brown ale tonight.

Send me some 11,000? (not a joke)Wandered into the cooler at Bells last night, They had batch 11,000 entitled "This one goes to 11" in limited numbers. Got a few, got the last of it. Like a combination of Two Hearted and Hopslam. Of course I have a headache now.

You inspired me to break out a Bell's Batch 10,000 that I have had cellaring. Followed it up with a Kuhnhenn 9 Belgian Strong. I might have to crack open some Expedition Stout for the Michigan game tonight.Wandered into the cooler at Bells last night, They had batch 11,000 entitled "This one goes to 11" in limited numbers. This sounds like my kind of beer. May I ask where you got it?Grand Teton 2011 Wake Up Call, which is an Imperial Coffee Porter. Very good beer.![]()
Come to GTOMW instead....SN Torpedo IPA.Need to go to GABF at some point.
Stouts and Porters are what I drink, and I tend to like the chocolate/mocha/coffee varieties. I got Wake Up Call at Binny's but it's one of their limited editions so once it's gone it's gone. The one in Glen Ellyn had 5 left when I got mine a few months ago or so.'ditka311 said:This sounds like my kind of beer. IS THERE MORE?Starting early with a growler of Community Beer Works IPA. Maybe the best IPA I've ever had. Yes, you read that right.
Of this beer? Sure. Growlers from the brewery only...IS THERE MORE?Starting early with a growler of Community Beer Works IPA. Maybe the best IPA I've ever had. Yes, you read that right.
Growler nearly dead, moving onto a Perennial Saison de Lis for the time being. I love flowery saisons. So good.Starting early with a growler of Community Beer Works IPA. Maybe the best IPA I've ever had. Yes, you read that right.
You border huggers or anyone with a real selection of imports should do anything you can to get yours hands on anything made by Dieu Du Ciel (a montreal microbrewery). Insane brews, and The Bros have given some of them a perfect score. They're mostly all seasonal, so getting your hands on them is a fine art, but worth every damn single penny
to The Bros, http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/1141For anyone who wants to check out their ratings and such. When I worked in Montreal I nearly turned into an alcoholic because of this microbrewery. They are true artists, and of everywhere Ive visited in the world, is easily in my top 3 breweries.Peche Mortel and Soltice D'Hiver are 2 beer memories I will take to the grave. You border huggers or anyone with a real selection of imports should do anything you can to get yours hands on anything made by Dieu Du Ciel (a montreal microbrewery). to Dieu du Ciel. I've never had a bad beer of theirs. A bit pricey though. Peche Mortel is an all-time great.
LinkNot my favorite, but it's the only one I know of thats available year round. Still pretty good. You should be able to get it at the Party Source for around ten bucks. So I've never bothered trying the Oktoberfest beers before, but now I love them. What are some "German Marzen" beers I can get year-round?

What did you think of it?Just got back from DC, fell in love with DogFish Head 90 min ipa.Founders Red's Rye....finally found a fresh batch
Firestone Wooky Jack!
Not a fan. Picked up the sampler pack as I usually like Pumpkin Ale and the wife wanted to try the Caramel Apple. I was disappointed with the HPA but the Caramel Apple was surprisingly good.Blue Moon Harvest Pumpkin Ale
That's okay, it hasn't been on the shelf here since the 2009 batch. How stupid am I? Paid $22.99 for a 4-pack of Bourbon County Stout at my local beer shop tonight. I'm happy, but feel like I've been taken for a ride by the craft beer hype.

Not stupid at all. It's $5 a beer, no? You pay that for a miller lite at the bar.How stupid am I? Paid $22.99 for a 4-pack of Bourbon County Stout at my local beer shop tonight. I'm happy, but feel like I've been taken for a ride by the craft beer hype.
And you're only paying this type of price for a select few beers a couple of times of year.Had one last weekend. I'm not really a GI fan, but I'd pay that and not think twice about it.
