how's the Heyoka?
It's good, I got some last week as well :) Stone Japanese Green Tea IPA. It's good not great, not sure I would get it again. Really has a ton of green tea taste at the front. Nicely hopped IPA at the finish and like a typical Stone IPA very little malt.
I drank a case of it this year and I love it. Was getting others' thoughts.

Any new Pipeworks I need to look out for?
Crimson Snapper is supposed to be out on Monday. IIPA with honey and blood orange. If you are close to one of the 13 city locations tapping Lizard king dry hopped pale ale with mosaic and amarillo I would go!

last night:

- mikkeller bar San fran, all sorts of goodies, cellarworks in San fran is a new favorite

Today:

- russian River brewing. Fresh pliny, blind pig, lots of sours. Parking violation pale ale was a new favorite. Splurged and got a 2009 temptation, hot damn

It lived up to the hype?

Had a small variety tonight.

Started with a Gumballhead (Three Floyds), then a Heady Topper (Alchamist) and finished with a couple Spotted Cows (New Glarus).

Sounds awesome. I love that area. Cellarmaker, btw. And yes, they are one of the best new breweries around. Right up there with the big boys in a very short time.

In June, I am going to Sonoma Valley for a wine trip with family. I'm not sure what town. Is RR near there? I see it's in Sonoma County so I am curious.

Ran out of Natty Light?
You must have me confused with someone else
No, he is making fun of Hopslam. He thinks it's absolute garbage.
No and yes. Maybe I do have him confused. Could have sworn he's trolled some some bud light lime or busch posts in here. Maybe I'm just used to seeing him troll other threads.

I do hate hopslam though. Malty *******.

Drinking 4 Hands Peanut Butter Milk Stout - lots of peanut butter but very weak milk stout flavor. Would not buy again

Picked up:

PW Cascade Ninja

PW Hey Careful Man there's a beverage here - so awesome

Abita Macchiato Espresso Milk Stout

Lagunitas Cappuccino Stout

On Deck Sure Bet and maybe my last PW Nelson.

I'm gonna go to Maggie Valley NC in April. What local brands (NC, Asheville) should I be looking for at liquor store? Probably hit up a liquor store in Waynesville.

1 of the dogs and I are semi patiently waiting for tomorrow night where there are some nice great divide yetis cluttering up the fridge....

Bear Republic is in Sonoma. Great beer. Lagunitas is nearby in Petaluma and Russian River is in Santa Rosa. Worth the trip but if time is short and you want to stay close to hotel, Bear Republic might be the place. Racer 5 is just about a perfect beer.

Thanks, I have had Racer 5 (it no longer ships to Michigan) and its really good. How far is Santa Rosa from the wine area? I need to figure out exactly where I am staying,
