Some beers on tap at happy hour tonight I don't see often - Bourbon County followed by a couple Sculpins.
hi ditka,Which particular Yeti style? There are plenty of stouts out there to try. Have you tried Victory Storm King (assuming you are in PA?)
Kind of need more info

Ten Fidy
Old Rasputin
Stone Imperial Russian Stout (comes out every April)
Founders Imperial Stout
If you like coffee in your beer like the Expresso Yeti, Look for Founders Breakfast Stout.
That's off the top of my head. Look for local breweries. You probably have some great stout around I've never heard of.
Other beers distributed to charlotte/Huntersville area, but not sure what total wine has:thanks sebowski.I have not been able to find the founders which is 1 I was going to try. I will look for the others you mentioned above as well. it stinks paying $8-10 a bottle and not liking it, hence asking for the knowledge here.Beers I'm pretty sure you have access to that compare (yes, Yeti is great):steelerfan1 said:hi ditka, have tried the yeti imperial stout and the yeti oak aged espresso stout and love both. was wanting something along that line of beer to compare.ditka311 said:Which particular Yeti style? have had a bunch of their anniversary black buttes. they are different year to year but have never had a bad one. some of them are really really good.anyone had the deschute's black butte 25th aniversary beers?
The Goose Island Green Line? I don't think so, I think it's supposed to be "environmentally sustainable" so they just sell it in kegs. Are they bottling Green Line now? Very underrated beer IMO.
All on tap.Are they bottling Green Line now? Very underrated beer IMO.

Damn. I was hoping. All on tap.Are they bottling Green Line now? Very underrated beer IMO.
I can't believe he would turn it down. Obviously AB will ruin the name like they did with Goose Island. Hard not to turn that kind of money down, just open another brewery in 3-5 years, based on the agreement. It would be a sad day for CC fans.So AB is interested in buying out Cigar City...the rumor here is Joe Render is considering it...I don't believe it for a second. Render won't sell out IMO. He's been talking about leaving FL but there's no way he sells out to AB. No way. If he does, it would be a sad sad day for craft beer.

But if he sells, the recipes of all the flagship beers go with it...no way they hand over the keys to Jai Alai. This won't happen.I can't believe he would turn it down. This won't happen.
Sure he will lose the recipes, that doesn't stop him with creating new ones though. Tastes evolve over time also. If they come up with an offer he can't refuse, he probably selling unless he is thinking of expanding outside of the Florida market.
Is the Goose Island name really ruined? AB hasn't touched the good beers they make at GI as far as I know. I'm pretty happy buying 750s of Matilda and Sophie at Costco for $5, although i don't know whether AB has anything to do with that.I can't believe he would turn it down. AB is distributing it, they want to make numbers. I personally think you lose something when its mass-produced. There are too many options in the great lakes area. Founders may find this out if they go national, now that they sold a 30% interest.
God I love that beerSo hanging out at Three Palms...started talking to a guy and wife who are on their way back to Palm Gardens...the subject of Gose comes up and we talk shop...he goes to his truck and hands myself and the bartender here a can of Westbrook Gose....
Whaaaaat?
He's all "hey, its all about sharing"..
