Who's your All Time "In With A Bang / Out With A Whimper" (1 Viewer)

Might be pre FF but do you guys remember Barry Foster with the Steelers?
Yep - and certainly wasn't pre-FF :) Reminded me that Rod Bernstine sorta fits the category (one year with 8 TDs and then a couple with 4).

Reminds me of my first draft. I selected Stephen Baker ("the touchdown maker") the year after he had 7 TDs. Oof. He had 12 TDs in the next 4 years total. This was back in the days before fantasy football magazines were commonly available.

This thread reminds me of probably my favorite (i.e. luckiest) fantasy football move of all time. Back in '93, I had Favre as my #1 QB and had drafted Rodney Peete to me my 1-week fill-in, figuring that surely even the injury-prone Peete could make it to the Packers' ridiculously early week 3 without getting hurt. Wrong. Peete actually played in that week 3 game (as did Andre Ware) so he must've been questionable and I didn't want to risk it, but I digress. Anyway in this 12-team league (in a 30-team NFL) there's basically no QBs available - except Cary Conklin. I pick him up and he proceeds to throw 3 TDs and helps my team win. Those were the 3rd, 4th, and 5th TDs of his career - and his last 3. He only played 4 more games and was done in football after the '95 season. So if there's a one-week category for this topic, Cary Conklin has to be toward the top of the list :)
