WR Adam Thielen - CAR (2 Viewers)

Adam Thielen (hamstring) remained sidelined at Wednesday's practice.

He was in attendance rehabbing with resistance training on the sidelines but didn't participate in team drills. With Minnesota's bye week occurring immediately after Sunday's contest against Denver, it seems farfetched for Thielen to suit up and potentially experience his second re-aggravation since initially injuring his hamstring in Week 7. Fantasy players should expect increased involvement for seventh-round rookie Olabisi Johnson, Kyle Rudolph, and Irv Smith if Thielen recovers for one more week.

Adam Thielen (hamstring) didn't practice again Thursday.

Thielen remains without a clear timetable for return. Laquon Treadwell (17% snaps in Week 10) has worked well behind No. 2 TE Irv Smith (74%) as the offense's No. 4 pass-game option with Thielen sidelined. Bisi Johnson has more than four targets in just one of 10 games this season and has yet to surpass 50 yards. It's a solid matchup, but volume is too big of a concern to trust the Vikings' seventh-round rookie. Stefon Diggs is capable of winning virtually any matchup thanks to his pristine route-running ability. He's failed to find the end zone or surpass 50 yards in consecutive games for just the second time since Kirk Cousins joined the Vikings. Diggs broke out of his 2018 slump with 10-119-1, 13-126-1 and 8-77-1 lines in three consecutive performances.

I'm fine with him sitting this week, but I desperately need him from week 13 on.  Hopefully he is ready to go vs SEA.

The issue is he re-aggravated it.....which is worse when that happens. This sucks. I am not expecting much for several weeks.

Speaking Thursday, Vikings coach Mike Zimmer said there is a "chance" Adam Thielen (hamstring) returns against the Broncos.

We're not buying it. A player who has already suffered one hamstring aggravation almost certainly isn't going to suit up after he was not healthy enough to practice either Wednesday or Thursday. Zimmer's comments do offer hope for a Week 12 return. Thielen figures to be formally ruled out on Friday.

Doctson waived today has to be a good sign that Thielen is good to go I would think
I hope so but I am in a tough spot.  My two other WR's are Golladay and A-Rob who play Thursday morning.  No way I know if Thielen is playing by then.  I will have to make a decision without enough info.  Ugh.....

Christ I just realized he plays Monday night

&$&)(&@@$&!!!!!!!!

I'm fortunate enough to have Sutton and Adams at WR and Barkley/Jacobs/Carson at RB/flex.  I am probably sitting him this week unless I decide to get crazy and flip him in for Carson on Monday.

Hopefully waiving Doctson is an indication of confidence that he plays.   Luckily, I'm benching Metcalf for Thielen, so I have a last minute option.   Is Gordon available on your WW?

No. First name I looked for when I realized it was MNF

I guess I’ll keep checking practice reports, if he practices all week I’ll be starting him

My other choices are Washington, Kirk and    AJ Green

Thielen may be my healthiest WR this week for all I know.  Hilton and Lockett are my other options.   :X

(Rotoworld) Adam Thielen (hamstring) was sidelined for Wednesday's practice.

Analysis: Thielen reportedly experienced a "slight scare" with his hamstring earlier in the week, which explains his 'DNP' on Wednesday. At this point, fantasy players should have a backup plan readily available prior to Minnesota's showdown against Seattle. Olabisi Johnson and Kyle Rudolph would continue to experience an uptick in volume if Thielen's inactive.

Ugggghhh...At least I have Josh Gordon on Monday night as well, so maybe I can salvage a few points if he sits. Not the scenario I want while jockying for playoff position.

So what's everyone doing this week?  I really want to wait and play him over McLauren but I'd have to drop someone I don't want to pick up Bisi if he pulls up lame in warmups...or worse could pull up lame in the first series again.

I’m going Dede over him. Conservative play for me.

My only other option is Robby Anderson.  I am gonna take my chances on Thielen, knowing full well that I will have to drop someone to pick up Olabisi Johnson at the last minute if need be.

Just got a yahoo alert that he’s Out
And too late for me to do anything about it.  His injury cost me a promising season.  He will probably double down on it by coming back and having a great game against my Packers.  I am feeling less than charitable towards him right now.  The rules of this site prevent me from saying anything more but feel free to add your own profane rant here as if I had posted one.

Another Miles Austin? has 2 decent years and then just fades.

Thought he could have a career like Donald Driver, but I guess not.

:ptts:

It's frustrating but it also seems like they're handling this the right way. I'm all for waiting until he's 100% before putting him back in. Fingers crossed that's week 14.

I’ve had so many injuries to important players this yr that I’m about out of expletives 😬

I was happy to surprisingly get the Thielen news so early, I put Kirk in instead of Gordon

Kirk caught 3 balls for 23 yds 🙄

One of those yrs for me...

Had a frustrated owner drop Theilen on Saturday.  I picked him up hoping he comes back to life.  He's my 3rd WR, so no rush - plus I have a bye in Wk14.  I want to see him back in play next week and fully healthy heading into Wk 15.

I originally really wanted him week 14 vs the Lions. But now don’t know if I can trust. My first WR drafted, but Godwin, Sutton and Parker are ahead of him for sure and maybe Gallup. May be perma benched
