WR CeeDee Lamb, DAL (2 Viewers)

Take him in the 4th/5th this year. Next year he will be a 2nd/3rd round type guy. Wait until he is getting the majority of the targets in Dallas. That's not to say Amari Cooper is chopped liver.
Might be too late for this. Lamb is already going early to mid 3rd from drafts I have done.

Same IME. His consensus ADP is 3.09 but he’s got some helium. I can’t imagine people taking him over Jefferson, Metcalf or AJ Brown so hopefully WR9 is his peak. He’s already going in front of Robinson, Allen and McLaurin (WR10-12.)

I have Lamb and Keenan Allen in their own litle mini tier.

I'm going to reach for him. I think he goes for 92 / 1,230 / 13TD. He's got to in that offense. I won't have him in every league as I don't want to put all my eggs in one basket, but I'm totally cool with reaching because I think the upside here is tremendous.

No concern about Dak's shoulder?  Several major media outlets expressing/reporting concerns today...FYI.

What's the latest? Last I'd heard/read, it seemed like a lot of noise stemming from an off-hand quote from Schefter. Was more color added today?

insider guy on Cowherd also expressed concern.

There's enough smoke here to be reticent IMHO.

Can you please elaborate? Who is the "Insider guy".

I heard Cowherd today and he talked about Schefter's post.

Added to concerns from Gil Brandt, Troy Aikman and Michael Irvin last week.

On injury news and opinion, context matters a ton. Please clarify who said it and exactly what was said. Thanks.

When I get a chance I'll go back  and rewatch the segment this morning...it was the first hour of the show, the guest was a middle aged white man that was covering mutliple trending NFL topics, Dak's injury status was one of them.

Albert Breer, NFL Reporter, roughly 34 minutes into Cowherd's television broadcast...

Cowherd:  "I've got now Gil Brandt, Troy Aikman, michael Irvin and now Adam Schefter ...saying this injury thing is going to be around a while."

Breer:  "Yeah, I would be concerned.  Anytime its anything with the QB"s throwing shoulder... and we've been down this road before...it was a couple of years ago we were told no big deal on Cam Newton's throwing shoulder...he hasn't been the same since....I'm not saying that Prescott's injury is like that, my understanding is that its manageable as of right now, the fact that the Cowboys are taking this sort of care with it when they were trying to reacclimate him and get him used to playing with the repaired ankle....all of it just tells you  they have some level of concern over this...anytime you see a team treating a qb like that with an injury to throwing shoulder...there is something here."

I paraphrased some.

My hope is that Dak is everything we thought he would be after the start of the 2020 season.

These concerns about a lingering issue with might never be the same impacts would, if they transpired, inspire folks to talk about karma and Jerry's long holdout to eventually pay Dak what he deserves.

Again, hope this is overblown concern.

Excellent. Thank you.

Cowherd is one of the most connected guys in media...that's the opinion of some of the sharpest sports betting guys I know.

I think you have to follow him if you want insider info...the sharp gamblers do because of his GM/coach insider network.

He's not always right, and he speculates...but it's an additional data point.

The whole thing just smells bad to me. Are we now 3 weeks into a "day to day" injury? It's no big deal... he just can't practice or throw a football. Other than that, he's doing everything you would want from your franchise QB who hasn't seen action in almost a year. 😯

Guess we'll need to wait for that week of practice leading up to game 1. If he's still tossing a Nerf football to the water boy... light's out, the party's over.

I know you clarified further down, but this made me lol.  The bolded phrase could describe about 97% of all football pundits.

If he was hurt badly the Cowboys would be moving heaven and earth to get him healthy. You would have heard multiple reports of him visiting other doctors for a second, third and by now, 5th opinion.

IMO this looks and smells of Sheffty appeasing the ESPN brass with clickbait.

It’s possible Dak is more hurt than we know for sure, I just don’t think you can hide that in Dallas and the Jone’s would be so much more nervous about the backup QB spot and I think they would already be looking to trade for a competent backup.

This is a great point after what they witnessed last year w/o Dak. Hard to imagine the Joneses would let that just happen again w/o taking some mitigating measures.

Anyone up to speed on the Cooper and Gallup contracts and what the Cowboys likely plan to do with them after 2021?.

Gallup is almost certain to walk. Cooper doesn't have any guaranteed money after this year and is 22mil a year toward the cap a year until 2025. He probably restructures at some point but I doubt they outright cut him in the next 2 years.

Dropped pass where ball was dropped on his hands led to an INT. Not good. He needs to work on his catching.

He could of had 10 catches for 145 if not for 2-3 drop balls ..In this offense if he continues to grow he's going to be a beast ..Amari will be the number 1 and could go for 100+ for 1500 but Cedee can be a 90 for 1350 guy

CD reminds me of TO.....hands of stone, but very physically gifted.....he's gonna be good, but he's gonna drop some big ones

CeeDee Lamb caught 7-of-15 targets for 104 yards and a touchdown in the Cowboys' Week 1 loss to the Bucs.

It was a prolific night for the sensational sophomore, but not one without mistakes. Dak Prescott's lone interception went off Lamb's fingers in tight coverage, while he also committed a few drops. His score was sensational, as he took advantage of a fake screen to run right by Bucs slot CB Sean Murphy-Bunting. Lamb was far less efficient than Amari Cooper, who hauled in 13-of-16 targets. He still offered more big-play juice, and drew almost as many looks. Attempts are not going to be in short supply in this offense, as the Cowboys' defense seems scarcely improved on last year's sorry unit. In fairness, it did have to deal with Tom Brady this evening. Both Lamb and Cooper will be in the WR1 mix for next week's date with the Chargers.

Ceedee Lamb had 12 drops on 185 catchable balls at Oklahoma

11 drops already on 85 catchable as a Cowboy #DALvsTB

Tough game for Lamb to this point.

He sure does look the part though.  Almost TOO quick
That's sort of the issue with CeeDee.  The game hasn't quite slowed down for him just yet.   He's not the route runner that Amari is, but CeeDee is immensely talented.    The scary thing is, he's going to get better.   Jerruh gave him #88 for a reason.

I was pointing out that he caused an int by creating a tip drill on a perfectly thrown pass to my leaguemates last night.......the CD owner chimes in that Dak "threw him into danger"......like it was Dak's fault!  The great ones make that catch....not saying he won't be great, but that prolly cost the Boys the game.

CeeDee Lamb caught all three of his targets for 66 yards in the Cowboys' Week 3 win over the Eagles.

Lamb's big play was a 44-yard grab on the fifth play of the game where he was hit on a deep shot down the middle and taken down at the one-yard line, setting up an Ezekiel Elliott touchdown on the very next play. Lamb entered this one with 24 targets across the first two weeks. Look for him to bounce back as a surefire WR1 next week against the Panthers.

How close was he to scoring so that early post route? Inches, right?

That’s how close I was to going 4-0 this week, lost to the Hurts owner by 4-5 points in the final minutes.

Aw well, take the good with the bad. Cowboys were pounding the rock all night and getting 5-6 yards a pop. Easy to see why they kept at it all night. Better weeks ahead for CeeDee, last night was a floor game.

CeeDee Lamb caught 2-of-5 targets for 13 yards in Dallas' Week 4 win over the Panthers.

Dak Prescott only threw the ball 22 times, making Lamb the odd man out behind Dalton Schultz (6/58/1) and Amari Cooper (3/69/1). Lamb's eight targets the past two weeks can be attributed to Dallas' run-heavy offense tapping the brakes with 27 or fewer pass attempts in back-to-back games. He'll continue to be ranked as a WR1/2 ahead of next week's matchup against the Giants.

CeeDee Lamb (ankle) was limited in Wednesday's practice.

As was Amari Cooper with a hamstring issue. It's a new issue for Lamb, but not one that's expected to keep him out of the lineup this week against the Broncos. Lamb has averaged over 100 yards per game with three total touchdowns over the last three weeks.
