WR Jordan Addison, MIN (2 Viewers)

Not sure what to do with Addison in the coming week. He looked electric, and everyone is talking about Jefferson underperforming… but some of that performance comes from teams doubling him and daring the Vikings to beat them elsewhere. Which they’ve proven they can do.

Hard to start Addison for fantasy teams when you eyeball weekly ratings… I was fortunate this week and had to start him due to byes… but the guy is gonna keep producing.

undervalued - love him in dynasty as well - big play waiting to happen but overshadowed by JJ. Problem is likely new QB next year so will have to go through learning curve all over again.

Its possible McCarthy is an upgrade from Darnold, especially long-term. I think we've seen enough evidence to say O'Connell is a QB whisperer.

Been kind of interesting these last few weeks, as Addison has been ahead of Jefferson in every category, not just fantasy points, but targets, air yards, everything but snaps. Obviously, Jefferson is still the #1, but any concerns that Hockenson would take back the #2 role once he got healthy and up to speed, have been more than shot down.

Who will Jaylon Johnson cover, JJ or Addison? The Clay ESPN WR/CB chart has him on JJ same as earlier this year when Addison went HAM. Fantasy Points and a few other sources reference him covering Addison this week. Starting Addison could depend on who he faces.

If convicted during his trial on Tuesday that stems from his 2024 DUI citation in the Superior Court of California, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison could be facing a baseline three-game suspension this year, per NFL policy, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Addison has pleaded not guilty. Even if the 23-year-old isn't convicted in court, the NFL could still suspend him to begin the 2025 season. The 23-year-old former first-rounder in 2023 out of USC took a slight step back in his second season last year with a 63-875-9 line on 99 targets in 15 regular-season starts. Addison is still a very dangerous No. 2 wideout behind All-Pro Justin Jeffersonin Minnesota, but the potential for a suspension is hanging over his head this year. Fantasy managers also have to wonder if he'll be as efficient with quarterback J.J. McCarthy running the offense. Addison is a low-end WR3/high-end WR4 target in fantasy.--Keith Hernandez

I think it’s interesting that the talk is 3 games as the norm for a DUI. Yet the talk with Rice is possibly only 2-4, for causing a major wreck while stunt driving, no doubt under the influence and fleeing the scene. That just sounds crazy to me.

I do think it will end being 2 games for him as he does seem remorseful with his comments going back to last season.

So the baseline DUI suspension is 3 games.
What charge did he plead guilty to?
If it wasn't a DUI then.........

Ahh nevermind, it's a "wet wreckless", haha.

I'd be shocked if Rice was less than Addison. I'm expecting 2-3 for Addison and 4-6 for Rice.

I wouldn't be selling low on Addison and that's what you would be doing right now while this DUI stuff is still fresh on people's mind. Selling Addison low goes against my beliefs in dynasty fantasy football, unless something worse happens.
I was able to buy a bit low on him recently. I agree it’s a bad time to sell - good time to shop for him if his owner is panicky in your league.

Always depends on what's being offered. Some people think they are buying low when they may have such a high opinion of a guy, they are actually buying high.

I'd put Addison at about the 1.5 range.

For a QB, I'd want Burrow (good luck, but it drops off a lot after him)
For a RB, I'd want either a top vet (like Jacobs, or CMC if you are a contender) or a younger lower ceiling guy (like Chase Brown)
For a TE, I'd want LaPorta, or maybe Kittle if I were a contender with a need.

ETA: He's the exact type I'd love to package in a multiplayer swap, where he has little chance of being a top guy, but has been productive and is young, so people might think he's still ascending. Also mitigates a suspension a little more.

That does not sound like buying low to me for the other person

Those aren’t buy low pieces. I don’t think anyone is giving any of those assets for Addison, and I like him.

Well, now we know. Glad it’s the 1st 3 when (knock on wood) the rest of my squad is healthy. I’ll either get Diggs into my starting lineup, or I’ll go 2-TE set like the Pats since it’s TEP.

But not really surprising. I had Addison’s suspension built into my calculation when I traded for him a few months ago. At least he’ll be nice & rested for the playoffs, and hopefully has learned a valuable lesson.

I've been a Bad Bad Boy
No use saying sorry
It's something that I enjoy"

Flying High Again :headbang:

Good for him making a statement that he won't allow NFL drug policy to shake who he really is
You all should show support for who he's chosen to become in the NFL
