WR Tyreek Hill, MIA (8 Viewers)

Tua was a lot better than people thought. Nice to have a “system”, but you got to have reasonable talent. I saw a post on the Purdy thread where someone called him a “system” QB. How come Lance didn’t work out then? Why didn’t Skylar or Huntley light it up with Tyreek and Waddle?
Preach brother. I have been saying Tua has been good for 2 years. And everyone was crapping on him, wanting him gone.

Well the latest power rankings are out and Miami is last.

Hope everyone is happy now with the Tua-less Dolphins. It really grinds my gears.
He stinks. Can't beat winning teams....can't win when it counts, can't stay healthy.

Bust.

The only stats I care about are winning in the post season....getting to the post season and being successful in the post season.

Tua ain't the guy to get that mission accomplished. I crap on him because he deserves the crap. He is a stat accumulator vs weak teams and a below average starter vs winning teams.

Now for FF purposes......sure....wonderful. For real football? Please.

It's hard to think of him being traded as much as FF fans would like to see him paired with a suitable QB as soon as this weekend
They paid him a lot of money and extended his contract, they've backed him 100% on his run in with the law Week 1 speeding into Hard Rock
He has to be loyal and cry out to every reporter how much he loves it in Miami
The guy has a ring, he needs all this cash with 10+ kids and multiple mothers in a short period of time, he's going to be paying out a lot
He hss a somewhat spotty off the field record where perhaps he wasn't arrested but civil lawsuits are popping up against him, his home almost burned to the ground

And Miami owes him a lot of money for the next couple seasons. I would love to see hi traded for top draft picks but it likely will not happen
Plus Grier and McDaniel want to stay on thru '25 and '26 if they can so they aren't likely to gut the team
Yeah, he's not going anywhere. Tyreek just signed a massive extension. It's something like a $40MM cap hit if he's traded because he was given a very small base salary and mostly bonuses that are prorated out to future years and void years that would accelerate if traded. I know teams can work cap magic but that just seems beyond a reasonable possibility to get around.
Not this season.

But 2025 everything will be on the table.

True, I meant to put "for this year" in there. Come the offseason they could make any number of moves.

Let us know who you approve of for our next QB and how we will acquire them. Hey, I would love an elite QB but so does every team.

If winning in the post-season is your qualifier then Miami hasn't had a good QB since Bob Griese in 1972.

Hey.....we blew it in 2020.......I was loud about Herbert prior to the draft and he lit this league up against all competition his first 3 seasons....he has had terrible coaching and bad support and last season he played with broken ribs almost the entire season. This year he is playing on an extremely painful high ankle sprain . His toughness is unquestioned and his talent level is elite. Over the next 2 seasons (2025, 2026)....when Harbough get's all "his" guys in place watch out. Herbert will be that guy.

Look I have been a Dolphins fan since 1975....my fellow fan....I have seen it all.

And yes I really hope we draft another QB in 2025....there are 3 great prospects coming out in Beck, Ward and Milroe.....you keep taking shots till you hit. But this front office has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt they can't draft properly at the QB position. We had several chances to hit on a good QB and blew them.

Marino won in the post season my friend. Come on. You can't be serious? Super Bowls are not everything....but winning a lot is. Marino had many many great years. And we always had a chance. He was a monster. You can't **** on the legend that is #13.

We have not had that kind of QB in here....since. So yeah it's been bad. I mean Jay Fielder was the last Dolphins QB to win a post season game and that was the Lamar Smith game vs the Colts.

It's been a horrid front office that has been this teams downfall for decades.

I have a Marino jersey and own his rookie card. I became a big fan when they played SF in the superbowl.

Anyways, I will continue to say Tua is a good QB. I never said he was elite but he takes way too much flack. While I like Herbert I'm not sure he would have been much better under the head coaches we had before McDaniel. Herbert would be good in this offense for sure but easy to pick and chose and say things like this after the fact.

Look back over the last number of years of drafted QBs. Its more failures than hits. Tua is a good QB and one of the best over the last number of years. People just want to run him out of town which is unfortunate. Everyone is impatient and won't let QBs develop or get better. Previous coaches nearly ruined Tua and his career.

I never wanted Tua...ever. He has been....ok.

Tannehill was...Ok.

Tua simply does not have the total talent (nor toughness to be frank) needed to ever lead a team into the post season and be successful. Far too limited. Simple as that.

I was very vocal before the fact to draft Herbert. So I am not playing Monday morning QB and @Ministry of Pain knows I was a huge Herbert lover pre draft. FLores wanted Herbert....and was extremley pissed they took Tua. So I am not so sure what would have happened if we were able to rewind the clock on that.

Let's hope we finally hit on a QB that can instill the "confidence" back into the fanbase which IMO is delusional about Tua (sorry they just are because of how QB starved we have been) that we can be a highly competitive team like we were back in 1983-1999. It's been too damn long.

I know AC question but...

Would you give up T. Hill and R. Dowdle for AJ Brown?

In discussions with the AJ Brown owner.

I also have J. Hurts.

Redraft. No.

Dynasty. Yes.
It's redraft.

Was thinking this was a no brainer do it.
Nah. I'd prefer Tyreek for ROS. His best is a different level then AJB's and Tua is only going to miss two more games.
Unless he gets another concussion.

Anyone can get hurt. He's not had a concussion in two years. Odds might be higher AJB reaggravetes his hammy then Tua getting concusses again. But if your mind is so made up why even ask? I've said what I'd do and that's if you were not getting free Dowdle.

Mind not made up at all. I'm on the fence.

IF we had some kind of indication Tua was definitely coming back then I wouldn't even consider this. All the signs seem positive, but it would not surprise me if the rug is pulled out from under Hill owners.

I would not be surprised if Tua is not cleared to return on October 27th. I'd be shocked. It's not even a question to me. Nothing to even think about. He wants to return, they want him to return. Multiple reports say he has zero symptoms. He just can't get officially cleared because he has to practice and he won't be able to that until he comes off IR. It's a formality.

Ross is in the process of selling 10% of the team and absolutely needs Tua on the field to maintain the valuation.
No chance he does not return in 4 weeks.
Until the deal is done, they will trot him out even if fully concussed.
After the deal is done, all bets are off.

Miami’s OL is a hot dumpster fire. And Tua is also not a guy that takes hits well on any part of his body.

Just jeep that in mind.

It's a concern for the entire offense even if he stays healthy but this is part of they miss him so much because no one gets the ball out faster.

Skinny Tua just needs to hold off on trying to make plays in the running game.

Yikes:

@GDAWG5000

Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill currently has +330 Anytime TD Odds at DK. I've tracked his ATD odds for every game since 2020. Even in games without QB Tua Tagovailoa, he's never had TD odds over +190. That's how poorly oddsmakers think of Tyler Huntley and Skylar Thompson.

Only bench your studs if they're averaging 3ppg in standard the last 3 weeks with backup QBs.

I see similar output, the only difference is, maybe Huntley actually hits a deep ball finally. I expect the Patriots just to double team Tyreek.

Never had a doubt Tua was coming back in week 8. I won't put any odds of him staying healthy, but will say again he did go two years without a concussion so it's fair to have a level of optimism he can make it through the season.

Now for this week I just hope Mcdaniel did not spend the bye week working on his latest look and instead buried his head in film trying to find easier creative ways to get Tyreek the ball with Huntely at QB.

Traded Godwin, a 2025 1st and 2nd for Tyreek this offseason in a dynasty league boy that sure looks bad now when Godwin is lapping him straight up. Amazing how trades "look great" when you make them and they blow up in your face. Everyone on here was like wow what a great trade for you!
Sigh
