Skins fan...
We drafted Landry...but I wanted Okoye.
Landry isnt' going to solve the Redskins' inability to create a pass rush, sack the QB, stop the run or force turnovers.
Landry is the 3rd straight 1st rounder used on a d-back for the Skins. (Carlos Rogers & Sean Taylor) That being...
Redskins
Calvin Johnson (although they don't have enough firepower to trade up)
Abobi Okoye or Laron Landry (Flip a coin)
Jamaal Anderson
Gaines Adams
Alan Branch
So says one of the many Bear's fans who thought ARE was going to Chicago. Jealous?Don't forget that Angelo offered him 18 million.ARE got 10 million guaranteed, but most of the salary is backloaded. He is a major reason the Skins' special teams have turned around this season. His signing was...
...Denver will get their 3rd rounder, I believe. However, there are 100 different trade scenarios that could occur, including Denver and Washington trading their 1st rounders.
Moss really benefited from a nice chemistry with Brunell. Mark trusted him 100% (unlike Patten or Lloyd) and would look Santana's way FIRST on virtually every passing down.
Campbell hasn't had enough time to get a chemistry with Moss. Apparently he wasn't taking any snaps with the first team...
Brunell took a lot of criticism about the dump offs, screens and quick hitches. However, in the past few games the majority of those passes were designed by the play call. They were not a lot of check downs by Brunell. I blame Al Saunders and the playcalling for this. Some say Brunell's arm...
The only thing I've heard from Comcast as of late was an interview with Al Saunders where he said Portis didn't get it done on the goaline last week and he will look into other options if that continues to be the case.I think Comcast is speculating on this...
I personally hope TJ is dressed for...
I've been tracking Cooley's targets through 2 games and probably 4 of those targets were passes thrown out of bounds by Brunell, and NFL.Com's play-by-play recorded him the target. Two other times he was overthrown ...another was an underthrown INT...about two hit the dirt in front of his feet...
Actually...you will be surprised to know that Moss only received 29% of the Redskins passing targets last year.I just finished manually calculating the Redskin passing targets for the '05 season and here are the final results.
Total Targets
Moss 29%
Cooley 22%
Patten 11% (Out for 7 games)...
In the long run, Moss will benefit from his new receivers...(Although Portis will benefit the most)
Last year, Moss had an early season TEAR in yardage. He slowed down in the middle of the season, and that happened around the same time David Patten had a season ending injury.
Yes...Patten...
Great job.
LOL at the Bills. Very wierd. Every single one of their games will be played at 1pm this year...assuming they don't get moved to the Sun night game, which seems less than likely
Randle El was a WR3 on a run-first team. Gaffney played on a team that had to pass because they were behind so often. Not a good comparision...especially since Gaffney is nowhere as explosive as Randle El is on the football field.
