🐎 *OFFICIAL 2022 Horse Racing Extravaganza Traveling Road Show Thread - Life Gettin' Better At Big Sandy* 🐎 (1 Viewer)

I have time to play a few.   Skipping the 3rd since there are only 4 entries.

4th race the favorite hasn't raced in 11 months after coming in 9th in its last race but still getting claimed by Chad Brown.  I'm going to hope he needs a race and try to find better odds elsewhere.

2/4/6 ex box and wps 6

Had to work a bit so didn't get to watch my ticket lose in the Belmont 4th.

Belmont 5th, going with a simple strategy.   Prat on a frontrunner on turf getting 5-1.   Ex wheel 11/all

Anyone see this video of Larry Collmus calling the Kentucky Derby? So interesting and such a great race call. The moment when he spots Rich Strike on the inside. He's going back and forth from the monitor to the track and doesn't see him until they're coming past. He screams "Rich Strike!" but he was really saying "Holy ####!"

i honestly thought it was Happy Jack, 'cause the #2 and #21 saddle cloths are very similar (the 2 is white, the 21 is a very light pink-ish), and all i could see on the TV was the number 2, as the 1 was obscured from view ... i was yelling out "HAPPY ####### JACK!!!1!1 A.Y.F.K.M.???!11!?" - couldn't really hear Colmus too well over the bar festivities/din - took a minute to shift my expletives to "HUH??!? RICH ####### STRIKE??!? THE HORSE I HIGHLIGHTED ON FRIDAY?? WHAAA??!!?"

:ptts:

reminded me of '09, when Durkin NEVER saw Bo-Rail & MTB until the cotdamn Finish Line

Gotta leave.   Put down 1/2/3/9 trifecta Belmont 6, with a .10 superfecta 1, 2, 3/1, 2, 3/1,2,3/all

by the by ...

Andy "the Mush" Serling has jinxed CM by picking him to win the Belmont ... he's going 5/6/3.

i'm not exactly gonna toss ol' CM now, as i have him & Mo D in the exacta behind WTP, but ... the little guy hath anointed.

I'm really not like the Belmont, and I just don't trust We The People.

I'm thinking Mo Donegal and Creative Minister in some tris and supers with everyone underneath and hope that Golden Glider or Barber Road hits the board.

Years ago I did something similar with a 1-4 shot. The feeling in the pit of my stomach didn't go away till an hour after I cashed. Never again I said.

oh, an ill-advised strategy, fo' sho' ...

but getting anything over $2.09 on this beast, in this spot, was nothing short of a gift - nobody in that field was gonna touch him today.

gonna go with the #9 here in race 11 ... undefeated in 4 tries, all at Keeneland.

stepping up in class,  but i think she's ready to fire a big number - will use 1,7,10,12 boxed underneath for tri/super.

7,1,5,3 ... but looked like the whole field was in the exotic foto - reminded me of a ... turf sprint

Has a win bet on the 3 at 30some-1 , it was a money back race. Halfway down the stretch i thought he might win, then gets nosed for show at the line lol

🤕

i was watching on my phone, and thought it was your #13, but the cloth didn't look dark enough ... then i was all like "the ####### three horse?!?"

he closed like a mutha, really thought he was gonna get up to the #7

i do believe Mo goes off as favorite ... think Nest drifts down to possibly 5/1 by post time, with CM hanging around that same number.

and i love all this for WTP - i will not play straight win at 2/1,  but 3/1 or 7/2?

HELL.YES.

i doubt he hits the latter, but if he's 3/1 at post time, i'm 11th houring in a bundle.

Who are we kidding here, the Belmont is a bunch of also-rans.  Nobody but a trainer and some owners will remember the winner a few years from now.

The real race to watch -- the Met Mile -- and the the horse to watch -- Flightline -- is where it's at.  Some very strong contenders, and the race could play out in a number of ways.  Far more likely a Breeder's Cup and/or Eclipse Award winner comes from this race.

DRF's take.

The actual Belmont is an undercard.

weather looks like it will cooperate for the most part ... high of 80, with possibility of showers from 3 to 4 pm.

front speed held very well yesterday, saw some very impressive times ⏲️ hung up - perhaps a track modification will be in order for today ... we'll know soon enough.

ngl, would've loved to see more wet conditions for WTP, but, still ... he has zero excuses coming in - he is the lone speed, should absolutely control the pace to his liking ... has Prat to navigate, has won here a month ago, stayed put and trained here, and has looked sharp in his works.

... no excuses - unless Nest was dumped in here to press him early, and often - which is certainly a possibility.

again, just like EV in the Preak: if we see opening qtrs of :24.3/:49, just rip up yer tix if you don't have WTP to win, or on top of your verts.

:bye:
