Agree with you but I wouldn't start quoting fouls and FT numbers. You might win that one tonight but most nights that can be turned the other way in a Duke game.The refs have been bad both ways. But its 23-17. FT's are 25-10.

Haven't looked this year but Vitale used to openly crow about Duke made more FT than their opponents shot for every year for 2 decades or something ridiculous. Whatever. Duke's FT differential is 69. UVA is at 155, Cuse at 149 and Pitt at 174. Foul differential is at .5 per game which is the 6th worst foul differential this year.
ETA: In conference games, Duke has 10 FT differential.

just a shameful offensive performance in the 2nd half for Duke. Kinda sick over this one.
Don't get me wrong, UNC had something to do with it, but Duke just had bad possession after bad possession. When Jefferson and Parker missed back to back gimmees, I knew they were in trouble.

Damnit...I didn't want Duke to lose this one...I could stand another loss to Cuse before dealing with a loss to UNC.
Congrats UNC fans...your team is full of a bunch of fighters. They may not be able to hit a FT to save their lives (except at the end of a Duke game apparently)...but they fight for every rebound, guard like shadows and just keep hustling...
Can't stand that Duke still can't rebound and allows too much penetration...not much to be happy about after this one...just toss the game tape and gear up for Cuse this weekend.

UNC was the better team tonight, that simple. Duke had an offensive stretch that was just awful, but you have to give credit when due.

Well, I'll avoid the easy excuse. Duke's defense still isn't much better. And the offense just disappeared for 9 minutes. Tough to win a game like that. Went away from Parker and settled for bad shots like Duke losses of yore.
K seemed outcoached. Dre had a solid first half and if you are going to chuck 3's, I'd want him out there. Also, Duke looks really fatigued which doesn't bode well for Saturday. Not sure why K went away from 5 man line changes. Seemed to keep everyone energized. Wonder how many times guys have to wilt as the season goes on to change.

Just point out that the last 5 minutes UNC 18 Duke 9...
Just about every one of these games comes down to the last 5. Even though Duke didnt hit a FG from like the 14 minute mark to like 6ish, right under 5:00 they hit a 3 to go up 60-56. Fortunately that 3 didn't wake them up.

No offense, dude, but from your comments about Duke choking and Carolina had "something" to do with it, you are making it sound more like Duke lost than Carolina won. I didn't think they would beat Duke either, but give credit to Carolina's defense in the second half. Did Duke miss some easy ones? Sure they did, but Carolina's defense frustrated Duke in the second half.

Let's be honest. Duke is the better team this year. But they ducked a date at UNC because of snow, even though a women's team made it there from Pittsburgh. They deserved to lose tonight. Thrilled by it.

No question. Their D was very very good. There were a couple of points during the cold stretch where Duke got in close, only for UNC to slap it away. Great adjustments by Roy to go to the zone.
But Duke basically went 8 minutes taking bad shots on 90% of their possessions. Parker got almost no touches and Sulaimon took some horrible shots. That's on Duke. I have no idea why Cook sat for so long. He was having a nice game and Duke really needed him out there.
