All Boring Team.... guys that have bounced around fantasy football for years and nobody really WANTS to get behind but guys that will probably be productive over the course of a season. Kind of the opposite of the All-Hype-Team:

I paid for the super-premium-version as I consistently found myself coming up $12 short. I'm still coming up about $2 short on my ideal lineup so I'm tempted to pay up for the super-duper-premium-version
Super Mega Platinum version gives you $50 more in budget. Worth the $400 I paid to get into this elite tier of clientele.

25 players rostered and I'm feeling pretty, pretty good.

QB:  One QB is a no-brainer and I'm sure he will be on 90% of the rosters; swung for the fences on QB#2.

RB: Selected two studs and two handcuff tandems (one high-end pair and the other from the bargain bin).

WR:  8 rostered.  Went bargain hunting and gambling that the ones I picked will rise to be clear-cut #1 WRs on their team.

TE:  3 rostered.  Tier 1 TEs were too expensive for my tastes.  Took the cheapest stud, a proven vet, and one cheap-o with a high ceiling.

K: $11 on three kickers

Def:  $12 on three defenses.

Rookies on roster: 4

Health and WR picks will make or break me.
My bargain bin RB handcuff duo shot way up in value today.

Pretty sure he’s on everyone’s team now.
Was Kareem hunt the last really cheap rb to be on like everyone’s team? I might be misremembering.
I should have phrased better.  I picked RBs #2 and #3 from a particular team from the bargain bin.

New to this.  What is the deadline for submission?  I assume it's free and the guys talking about paying up for more players or something (didn't read too closely) are just joking?

Free for subscribers and yeah, the "pay for more" is joking (Just like the "Set your lineup for week 2" will be).

3 for $6 for me. When I plug the scoring into Draft Dominator, it says any of the $4 defenses score less than 1 ppw more than the $2 defenses. Even the highest ranked and most expensive defenses only score 1.5 ppw more than the $2 choices.
I have never understood paying up for one of the top defenses.  I have never done that, and I have done well.  Get 3 defenses with 3 different bye weeks that are cheap and you'll be fine.  It likely won't be the reason why you get eliminated.

This is the slowest year for chat. I remember two people in particular that posted constantly. I guess they are out this year.

you all need to share more information. 🤣

Yeah, where's the Winz??  I'm only at 75 iterations so far.  Definitely my low point in the past several years.  Gonna have to step up my game to achieve my norm of 150 or so.

Currently I'm pretty settled on my roster.  It would take some major news to move me off of any players at this point.  May even splurge and enter a second team with a neighbor buddy as co-owner. I've done it a few times through the years, but realized I was just throwing away money.  All my 'second guess' roosters have fared pretty poorly, except the one I collaborated on with the wife during Manning's super duper 2013 season in Denver, I think

.

I have a core group which I haven’t changed and a plan which of course won’t be right. But there’sa a group of 6 or so (depending on the iteration) which I keep swapping.
until the next injury hits I think I’m done.

I didn’t check the scoring when I paid for the WFT defense. Now I’m spending either $8 or $6 for 3 defenses.

It would probably make sense to add some more exotic scoring for defense to make it more of a viable roster slot of differentiation.  Incorporating points allowed would likely reduce the 3 for $6 bias.

I hear you. And just like that I'm contemplating a change to my surefire lock roster after viewing some recent news. Oh well, it will only affect 3 or 4 players. Of coure, bye weeks are screwed now. Damn it

It doesn’t even have to be that exotic to reward great defenses.

It seems like the injuries/trades in the last week or so have created a lot of suddenly attractive bargain RBs. On one hand, it seems like grabbing two or three of those bargains is the smartest thing to do. On the other hand, I'm wondering if I'm better off keeping the lineup I had before those moves so that I'm zigging when everyone else is zagging.

This is where I am at, I have 3 that really haven't changed but the other 3 seem to be back and forth. Yes there will be a few highly rostered players and that can go both ways when it matters down the stretch, but often would rather be zigging and hope for a good spate of luck...I'm at 22 right now but I keep fretting about depth and may cut a stud to a lesser to add that extra player elsewhere....

EDIT: And just like that back to 23....uggh!

Injuries and trades have opened up a few bargains that are almost too good to pass up, and I expect quite a few to be roostering them. But there are still lots of question marks with those players. If they hit and you don't have them on your team you are at a disadvantage to 75% of the field. If they don't hit and you don't have them you are at a huge advantage. The larger the contest the more chances you have to take

Measured response is probably for the best.  If 3 weeks ago I couldn't get away from roster size 20, I'm currently having difficulty getting away from roster size 27.

I am probably close to done:

QB - Jameis Winston - NO/6 - $10
QB - Ben Roethlisberger - PIT/7 - $9
QB - Cam Newton - NE/14 - $9
RB - Saquon Barkley - NYG/10 - $28
RB - Javonte Williams - DEN/11 - $18
RB - James Robinson - JAX/7 - $16
RB - Gus Edwards - BAL/8 - $11
RB - Sony Michel - LAR/11 - $5
RB - Carlos Hyde - JAX/7 - $4
RB - Rhamondre Stevenson - NE/14 - $3
WR - Diontae Johnson - PIT/7 - $18
WR - Corey Davis - NYJ/6 - $10
WR - Antonio Brown - TB/9 - $10
WR - DeVante Parker - MIA/14 - $9
WR - Sterling Shepard - NYG/10 - $9
WR - Jakobi Meyers - NE/14 - $6
WR - Marquez Callaway - NO/6 - $5
WR - Bryan Edwards - LV/8 - $4
TE - George Kittle - SF/6 - $22
TE - Mike Gesicki - MIA/14 - $12
TE - Cole Kmet - CHI/10 - $7
PK - Chris Boswell - PIT/7 - $4
PK - Younghoe Koo - ATL/6 - $4
PK - Matt Gay - LAR/11 - $4
TD - Pittsburgh Steelers - PIT/7 - $7
TD - Chicago Bears - CHI/10 - $3
TD - Denver Broncos - DEN/11 - $3

Completely rolling with stud backs, and 7 WRs under 20 bucks.
I don't think I've had a single lineup with a WR over $20 either. Lockett might be the biggest temptation. I can understand the argument for McLaurin, but it's tough for me imagining Fitz starting 17 games in a season.

That's where I was before the Dobbins injury. I thought the table was set for Dobbins to have a huge season as a true three down back in a slightly more dynamic offense.

He was one of the guys I was uncertain about. Now that’s easy but I’m not sure how I feel about Gus

My current iteration has only five of these players and all of them are those that are likely obvious. My breakdown is as follows:

  • QB - three at a cost of $33
  • RB - five for $81
  • WR - seven for $87
  • TE - four for $32
  • PK - three for $7 - these could be among my final change-outs
  • DST - four for $10
  • Total rooster is twenty-six at $250

If you picked your other two QBs correctly, it's better to move that QB3 to another position.
So, if you are looking for a couple dollars to upgrade DST or PK and you had three QBs, would dropping the third QB be the first choice or would you slide down for two lesser costly QBs so that you could keep three in this Covid rule, likely missing games season of 2021?

I'm leaning towards 2 QBs for additional depth elsewhere.  If I had 3 QBs on roster, then QBs #2 and #3 are probably already "lesser costly" ones anyway.

I'm not playing FF this year and I'm so far out of touch I didn't even know M. Thomas was going to miss the start of the season, but he's still in my lineup for now, lol

QB - Matthew Stafford - LAR/11 - $14
QB - Jameis Winston - NO/6 - $10
RB - Najee Harris - PIT/7 - $25
RB - James Robinson - JAX/7 - $16
RB - Gus Edwards - BAL/8 - $11
RB - Phillip Lindsay - HOU/10 - $10
RB - Giovani Bernard - TB/9 - $8
RB - Rhamondre Stevenson - NE/14 - $3
WR - Davante Adams - GB/13 - $32
WR - Robert Woods - LAR/11 - $22
WR - Michael Thomas - NO/6 - $13
WR - Henry Ruggs - LV/8 - $10
WR - Gabriel Davis - BUF/7 - $7
WR - Jakobi Meyers - NE/14 - $6
WR - Darius Slayton - NYG/10 - $5
TE - George Kittle - SF/6 - $22
TE - Mike Gesicki - MIA/14 - $12
TE - Anthony Firkser - TEN/13 - $7
PK - Chris Boswell - PIT/7 - $4
PK - Rodrigo Blankenship - IND/14 - $4
PK - Daniel Carlson - LV/8 - $3
TD - Philadelphia Eagles - PHI/14 - $2
TD - Green Bay Packers - GB/13 - $2
TD - Dallas Cowboys - DAL/7 - $2

If this was a total points on the year contest - yes.  In a weekly elimination contest, take the easy money every time.

On the other other hand, everyone is targeting those same value picks.

I feel like the winning recipe is a combination - gotta hit on a couple studs too. Since they cost so much, you can only have a few.
