I don't meant to be a smartalec but you got more K's than RBs.....oh wow.....QB - Dak Prescott - 22
QB - Trey Lance - 7
I think Dak is a top 5 QB with a high weekly floor. Lance is a guy who will put up good numbers when he gets on the field. Obviously I hope that is by week 7, or I’ll take a 0 here.
RB - Christian McCaffrey - 39
RB - Austin Ekeler - 28
RB - Josh Jacobs - 22
McCaffrey is a basically a lock to score every week. Ekeler I think will have a pretty big year in PPR. I like Jacobs and figured he would be lightly owned. Figured most rosters would be loaded with a lot of the same guys (Robinson, Edwards, etc.) and wanted to go a different direction. Only 3 RBs is dangerous but with one being McCaffrey I think it’s doable barring injury.
WR - Calvin Ridley - 27
WR - CeeDee Lamb - 23
WR - Tee Higgins - 18
WR - Marquez Callaway - 5
WR - Bryan Edwards - 4
WR - Marquez Valdes-Scantling - 3
I think both Ridley and Lamb are top 5 WRs this year and were the first additions to my team. I think Higgins is a good bet for double digit TDs. After that a few cheap options that will be pretty popular.
TE - T.J. Hockenson - 19
TE - Mark Andrews - 16
Would have liked Kelce but wanted to avoid the late bye. Think both Hockenson and Andrews will catch a ton of balls as the WR corps on their teams are atrocious.
PK - Brandon McManus - 3
PK - Jake Elliott - 3
PK - Tristan Vizcaino - 3
PK - Evan McPherson - 2
TD - New York Jets - 2
TD - Dallas Cowboys - 2
TD - Las Vegas Raiders - 2
A few cheap options to hopefully get lucky each week.
Needs Fields to play competently against Pittsburgh or Bridgewater to not lose his job by that Dallas game though.jesus! russ + cmc + dk + lockett + kelce. good lord this is a contest-winning roster. i like your style, brother.
Who has the bad aura in Baltimore. And Gus Edwards takes 11 of dead money before a snap good times

Lots of Gus Edwards owners were counting on him as a cheap #2 RB in this contest, including me. Injuries suck, but I'd rather lose an $11 player than a $30 player.
I swapped basically Antonio and Gus for lamb last minute.Obv shoulda stuck with Rooster 1.0 that had Brady and Brown....

Yes. That was it. I made a gusty move based on brilliance. The early advantage now goes to those with contest teams that zigged rather than zagged by not having Gus on their rosters. It was a gutsy move to leave him off because his value was stellar.
RB - Joe Mixon - CIN/10 - $27
RB - Antonio Gibson - WAS/9 - $26
RB - James Robinson - JAX/7 - $16
RB - Gus Edwards - BAL/8 - $11
RB - Sony Michel - LAR/11 - $5
RB - Rhamondre Stevenson - NE/14 - $3
My RB1 varied from Barkley, Elliott to Mixon. Saved a buck by going Mixon over Barkley. Really like Elliott but same bye as Robinson. Gibson and Robinson never left my lineup although I don't like the presence of Hyde. Considered going Harris over Robinson but that late week 14 bye was iffy. Once Dobbins got hurt Edwards was a main fixture and no-brainer. Michel has the potential to take the majority of carries in LA. Never liked predicting a NE backfield but all you need is a 2 TD game by Stevenson.
WR - Tee Higgins - CIN/10 - $18
WR - Chase Claypool - PIT/7 - $17
WR - Jerry Jeudy - DEN/11 - $16
WR - Corey Davis - NYJ/6 - $10
WR - Antonio Brown - TB/9 - $10
WR - Jakobi Meyers - NE/14 - $6
WR - Bryan Edwards - LV/8 - $4
WR - Marquez Valdes-Scantling - GB/13 - $3
The 3 WRs from Cincinnati, Pittsburgh and Denver were always in play here. Switched between Boyd or Higgins, Jeudy or Sutton and Claypool orJohnson. Really like Corey Davis potential but alternated between him and Eliajah Moore as well to save a dollar. Ultimately went with the safer Davis. Antonio Brown at $10 was always solid in my roster. Bryan Edwards is a no-brainer at the $4 price. Reports out of GB are that MVS has really shown improvement and maturity this off-season. Not sure I'd trust him in weekly lineups but best ball at $3 I'm in. Switched between Meyers and Callaway many, many times. Not sure what happens when T. Smith and Trautman comes back but I like Callaway.
TE - Kyle Pitts - ATL/6 - $17
TE - Mark Andrews - BAL/8 - $16
TE - Jonnu Smith - NE/14 - $9
Always wanted to go big here with the 1.5 PPR. Went back and forth between Hock and Pitts. saved the $2 and banking on Pitts but he has me nervous as a rookie TE. That's where Andrews comes in as insurance and I expect to get a flex score between these two a couple of times. 3rd TE was all over the place. Settled on Smith for his potential. Had Everett here as well. Also liked Gronk, especially in best ball for those 2 TD games. Just sooo many weapons in TB though. I suspect this will be my biggest regret.
TD - Dallas Cowboys - DAL/7 - $2
TD - Las Vegas Raiders - LV/8 - $2

Was there ever anything worked out with live scoring?Hi Steeler. I'll shoot you a PM and see if there's something we maybe could help with.
Was there ever anything worked out with live scoring?
Live stats feeds are crazy expensive to do legally. When I had Blastats it was $30K for the season for just the NFL, and that was like 13ish years ago.No. That's a multi thousand dollar thing we couldn't afford for this.
The calcomatic is one thing for an individual to do but it's scraping NFL.com stats which is not something we want to do.
When I read the first comment, what would have been if I had......Taking snapshots of my roosters at key moments is the new way to torture myself during this contest.

At several stages I had AB, but opted to switch it up.Seeing a bunch of people post AB for $10 in here left me with instant regret that only got worse last night as he looked fantastic
Largely because the entry form doesn't show the bye weeks tbh. When I read the first comment, what would have been if I had......
I thought why would you ever do that to yourself?
I create a quick excel file that tracks bye weeks and cost, both overall and by position. Almost every time I tweak my line-up I edit the file. But I don't keep copies of what I had, I just replace and save so my previous versions are wiped away, just like shaking an etch-a-sketch.Largely because the entry form doesn't show the bye weeks tbh.

I did the exact same thing, using simple formulas to add up the lineup values.I create a quick excel file that tracks bye weeks and cost, both overall and by position. My thinking on this was that McCaffrey is basically a lock to count every week. So I need one starter between Ekeler and Jacobs each week. Occasionally both will be playable and I’ll get a flex.Dacomish said:I don't meant to be a smartalec but you got more K's than RBs.....oh wow.....
Wonder what % changed their roster to accommodate him in the 11th hour.Gus has to affect what.... 40%+?

On the bolded, I agree EXCEPT for the weeks he is injured or has COVID or is a close contact. McCaffrey missed 13 games last year and Ekeler missed six and then there is also the fact that all three have a bye week.My thinking on this was that McCaffrey is basically a lock to count every week. Another way to look at it is overall point expectation for a position. I’d say most here are shooting for something like 40 points a week average out of their two RBs. There will be weeks that McCaffrey gets close to that on his own so I may be able to survive a down week from the other two.
High risk strategy obviously but you have to get lucky to win this. Also this year is by far my least knowledgeable year since I started playing fantasy 15+ years ago so I figured it was better to go with safer bets than try to pick sleepers.

I would call this extremely risky >>> high risk
nevertheless, good luck to you!
I actually changed my roster to add him, then thought better of if. I swapped out Robinson then decided there was too much unknown about Gus & swapped it back to Robinson. Lucky, really.if you were on top of it I am impressed
