I started with Carr/Cousins, but so did everyone else. So I love Lamar (in fantasy - F the Ravens IRL). I couldn’t decide between the ATL tandem, and PIT’s. Ultimately it came down to watching Pickett in the preseason. He was playing vs. 2nd string vanilla defenses, and I didn’t once see him look off a receiver. If I knew where he was throwing, opposing defenses certainly will.

RB - Chase Edmonds - MIA/11 - $14
RB - Dameon Pierce - HOU/6 - $10

My best stud is at RB, without reaching for the top of the chart. Robinson is obviously my biggest risk here. I think Edmonds gets the majority of touches in Miami. If I’m wrong, it’s going to be a short season for me. Pierce will be rostered everywhere, but you need a couple of those guys when they represent value. I think White is starting sooner than later.

I like kickers on teams with strong defenses. Almost all of the cheaper ones I wanted had week 9 and 14 byes. So I settled for Bullock as my third. Not thrilled with him…

I really like all three of these defenses at their prices.

Overall thoughts - I feel like I’m varying from the crowd in several places. I also think that I can sustain an injury or two. And while I have $30 tied up in week 14 byes, they represent my QB3, RB5, WR6, TE3, and a kicker. I’m OK with that. I also only have $33 sitting in week 9, including a K and a D.

So let’s run with this!

This team is well balanced. I do think Pickett is a great value at $3, but can't argue with your preseason analysis. Also with this build, the ATL QB combo makes more sense than the PIT QB combo.

Yes. $100 cookie if you post your final rooster by 11:59 Monday and don’t change it before the deadline.

Been tweaking most every day. Will be hard to leave it unchanged. Sweet spot is around 24 players but I’m stuck in the 20-23 range.

After several days of leaving my lineup alone, today was just a barrage of tinkering... in the end though, I really like this iteration. Probably gonna stay with this.

Amusingly enough, I noticed a few trends developing in this thread, and actively moved to steer AWAY from them.

Way too many participants seem to have Kirk Cousins, Derek Carr and Russel Wilson to a lesser degree. IMO, Goff is a cheap and very solid QB2 allowing me to reach for a bigger fish. Herbert is gonna have a big year, plus I haven't seen too many entries with him.

Edmonds I feel safe with, think he's gonna have a good season (barring injury of course), and the Chicago coaching staff really like Herbert...

The wideouts IMO are the sweet spot in the entire contest this season. Sutton and Juju are on a LOT of rosters for good reason. Amon-Ra and Kirk are gonna be significantly more expensive NEXT season, and people seem to have forgotten just how good Hunter Renfrow is. Watkins is gonna be good for about 3-4 barn burners this season justifying his roster spot, and McKenzie... a damn shame he didn't work out for the Broncos.

Final iteration has 22 players which is within my target range though I think 24 is the sweet spot most years. Focused on earlier bye weeks considering cut lines; didn’t want high dollars invested weeks 13 or 14. Stuck with most of my core guys posted on page 13. Sadly moved off Dobbins who I thought could be a league winner if healthy. Saved 8 different versions and decided to lock in this one. Taking a big risk going with a bunch of week 6 byes including QB1 and a hoard of flex options. Week 9 missing my #2 RB/WR/QB but I think there is enough strength to survive the churn. Hopeful we get a regular here on the forums to win the 5k food bank donation. Good luck!

Once again thank you for everyone's help. This contest is way more in-depth than what I even do for redrafts so I am loving this.

I am definitely looking for feedback, critique, and or suggestions. I feel like most of this is rearranging until you get the byes sorted out. I feel weak on week 9 even though I have depth at all positions. I am not liking having Barkley, Sutton, and Kittle off that week.

I am definitely looking for feedback, critique, and or suggestions. I feel like most of this is rearranging until you get the byes sorted out. I feel weak on week 9 even though I have depth at all positions. I am not liking having Barkley, Sutton, and Kittle off that week.

I see 4 other rosters posted after mine.
I question all of my choices and am itching to change it all.
i just closed the contest entry tab I’ve had open for the past month to try not to be temped.

The truly special thing about this contest is that it lets you draft your team, and draft it again, and draft it again…unlike any other fantasy football league I’ve ever been in. Addictive.

but I’m not tweaking my team again unless some big news affects one of my players.

I think I like this one the best so far. I'm going to keep digging for depth but honestly where is the line of diminishing returns? What I mean is at what point do you sacrifice volume for an increased roster? I do feel like a 24 roster size is ideal but dang it's tough to get there.

Last year I got bounced in week 4 by 5.35 points, due to 3 injuries, but I kept track to the end of the season anyway. In spite of the injuries, had I not been eliminated in week 4, I would have survived to the money round and finished 11th overall.

This year, every time I think I have my roster set, something happens to change my mind. This is where I'm at right now, but no guarantee this will not change before Wednesday night. I normally like to have a little more beef at TE, but I could not come up with a combination I liked without sacrificing more than I was comforable with elsewhere. I typically like to roster 25 but this only works out to 23.

Didn't want to have my fake $448 roster be my most current team, so here is one I just came up with. It's at least a legal roster.

QB - Kirk Cousins - MIN/7 - $14
QB - Derek Carr - LV/6 - $13
I still think Derek Carr is going to be the best QB value of the contest. And Cousins is going to be a close 2nd. I toyed with adding Pickett ($3), but then I thought, if I'm so confident in the Cousins/Carr duo, isn't adding an insurance policy like betting against myself?

I really like this approach. My only tweak would be to split Kelce into two players WR/TE but if you believe he can finish top 2 TE again, then go for it!

I usually go with two midrange guys and actually started off with Cousins/Carr in my first iteration. Decided to change up this year and go big. The Steeler combo should work out as well or better than any of the single digit backups I could have paired with Allen and gives me a small hedge against the dreaded backup injury during the stud's bye week.

It seems like people are forgetting how dominating Henry was before the injury last year. If he can even get close to that, he's a bargain. Like a lot of others, I started with Walker, Pierce and Robinson, but couldn't bring myself to take the risk of when Walker and Robinson might get back, so I moved to Rhamondre and the cheap lottery of Eno.
