I really think the FFA/FBG could use a pinned thread when a beloved FBG departs. From the RIP thread, FatMax passed away last Wednesday. He was 48. It sucks. He was a very level headed poster in this thread; a thread where level-headedness can be in short supply. And he KNEW his Kings. I mean, that guy knew his stuff and loved his Kings.
Sorry for bringing the thread down, but I know he was popular in here and his contributions in here will be missed, as will he be. :(

By all accounts, Griff was hand-picked by Giannis. Sadly, if they'd wanted Nurse, I'm pretty sure they could've had him. I think any reports to the contrary were just an attempt to save face.
Apparently Giannis realized that he made a mistake. Thankfully their record is still great, and they have plenty of time for a new coach to implement a defensive scheme that actually fits the personnel.

The locker room was not running smoothly, players were challenging him, maybe not GA and DL but others on the team were not happy with a lot of his schemes, an Asst coach quit back in October for what he felt was over the line type yelling at him as he was working with GA and DL vs being in a coach's huddle at that moment in practice...there seems to be a lot going on behind the scenes
Doc Rivers front runner for Coach, not sure how Milwaukee will navigate the Playoffs now

Give the Bucks credit: they did what they had to do to get Giannis to ink the contract extension this offseason.
Give Giannis credit: he realized he was wrong and signed off on a change. Hopefully he now removes himself a bit from LeGM'ing.
Give the Bucks fans credit: we thought firing Coach Bud was okay if a Nick Nurse type could be brought in. Saw the Griffin nightmare playing out despite the W-L record and said as much. Most know Doc is another Coach Bud (only more 'relationship' than 'scheme') despite his Marquette connection.
Give Celtics/76ers/etc fans credit: they won't celebrate too much when Doc leads the Bucks to a 2nd round flameout.

It seems really strange based on their record. I'm never one of those guys calling for a coach's head on a pike, but I do get it. Watching the games this season - there have been what seem like a dozen or so wins that were somehow incredibly disappointing despite being a W -- needing some late-game heroics to come from behind to beat bottom feeders type stuff happening over and over. And they haven't passed the eye test at all, especially on defense. Something is broken with the team despite the results. One thing is that Giannis has had to play way more minutes than in the prior 5 or so years because they've needed him to take over late in so many games and single-handedly win for them.

Their expected win-loss is at 26-17 and their net rating is 10th in the NBA. ESPN has them as the easiest schedule played so far, by a fairly large margin. Their record isn't real.

NBA L2M report on Wolves vs. Hornets said there were 10 missed calls in the last 2 minutes of that game - 6 in favor of the hornest and 3 for the Wolves, which included KAT was fouled on that last play. So it's not our fault for losing our composure, playing bad defense, and forcing the ball to an exhausted KAT in order to try to beat Embiid. It was the refs and their constant Hornet bias.

Right, and that's exactly what it was. Not KAT's fault, but the whole team made it about KAT's points and that's it. It was the most bizarre first half I've seen out of Ant, or anyone, ever. He passed up all his shots he usually takes. This was a big step back. The kind of game the team lost last year, and all the other years of my stupid life, because they aren't serous or focused or anything else. It's why Rudy punched Kyle and Jaden punched a wall last year. Their next game is @ Washington which is actuallly perfect for them to prove they aren't the same as they used to be and blow them out.

Coach and the rest of the team grew tired of the growing number of points KAT was accumulating, listen to the press conferences after and the interviews in the locker room
Was not one nice word mentioned about KAT and then he was 2 for 10 in the 4th or whatever and I believe they benched him down the stretch in that game.
-I'm just basing things on the words of the coach and his teammates. AE had less than 10 points, he wasn't very complimentary in the locker room.

I can clearly see Rozier's numbers but he won't be shooting all the time in Miami, in fact I would imagine his points per game are going to drop a lot.
You gotta play defense to excel on the Miami Heat, that's Spo's "culture" that he instills.
I doubt Rozier will be a Miami Heat next season when his contract expires.
Maybe the Heat are going to be active prior to the deadline

I hear that from a lot of people, but I think that's kind of lazy thinking. If you watch the Bucks you see a team that is absolutely lost in transition defense, in addition to possession defense. I love Jrue, but he wouldn't have made much of a difference.
