How was it not apparent after the first series that Mosley had no business being on Njoko?I can't wait to run it back with Saleh, Hackett, and the defensive coordinator that refuses to cover their one weapon. Coaching at its finest.
Left out Becton disaster - what a bust. Literally one of the worst displays by a starting T Ive seen in years. At least its clear he is moving on - he cost himself millions. He's a desperation back up at best.
Only 1 way to go - we need to lose. People can save me the "I'll never root for my team to lose" righteousness. This organization doesn't deserve that mentality from any of us - certainly not in its present state. They've got far too many holes to fill to give a sliver of a rat's *** about the fan-based ego boost a meaningless win against the hapless Pats will bring. If this was a decade ago, and it was going to ruin the REAL Patriots chances somehow - yea, sure, I get it. But in this iteration of both terrible teams, a win for us does absolutely nothing other than hurt our draft capital (and we only have 1 top pick to try draft a starter-caliber player) while simultaneously setting the Pats up with a much more valuable pick.So how do we handle next week - they beat the Pats and that always feels good as its been forever but they drop to the teens in the draft while possibly handing the Pats a top pick/QB. The Pats win and they continue the dominated streak and send Belichick out with a win after he made it his lifes mission to taunt the Jets. I honestly dont know which way to go! How depressing
I am presuming he was pointing to the six Jets fans. The lows get lower, but have to admit this is pretty funny:
(apologies, Joe)
One has competent ownership
Need a legit #2 WR
To be fair, Rodgers gave back a lot of money, in part to make it happen, and wanted Cook signed. Rodgers has actually been an even worse GM than Douglas.Horrendous move by Douglas. Every advanced Stat available said he was finished. Thankfully just a 1 year mistake
The Cook signing just adds insult to injury about the season, but at least it was a one year deal they can just wash their hands of. It’s only Woody’s money.Cook released so he can try to latch on with a playoff team.

The one downside is it cost them Michael Carter. Carter isn’t a great RB but he’s solid depth that can play any role in the backfield. The Cook signing just adds insult to injury about the season, but at least it was a one year deal they can just wash their hands of. Fair point. I do like Izzy though and think he brings more value as a guy that can also run between the tackles more so than Carter could. The one downside is it cost them Michael Carter. Thanks for stopping by to **** on Jets fans. Please be way cooler when you come back next time or better yet, don't come back at all Alex.Congrats Jets fans. At least you don’t have to send your 1st to the Packers now.

Mostert, Cook and Henry got in over him. I think he could have gotten in over Henry, although Breece had a good but not great season - much of which unfortunately was due to the offensive (in more ways than one) environment.I don't know who made Pro Bowl at RB and didn't think about who missed till I saw that Breece got snubbed. That's BS. He's amazing.

I don't have a pff subscription, so I look them up one at a time, overall grade. I think it's Achane, Henry, Mostert, Pacheco, Hall and then Cook. It's a popularity contest. Why don't they wait a week ... I guess it would be a playoff distraction.I'm mildly surprised Cook is there over Pacheco.

JD had one of the worst offseasons in recent Jet history and that is saying something. The misallocation of resources was pretty mind numbing (DCook, DBrown, Lawson, CDavis, etc..). He gets a miracle mulligan going into year 6 and one can only hope he has learned his "final" lessons, but expectations are so low I doubt it. Still, he has done some good things (Sauce, Garrett, UDFA's, Adams trade) and his overall grade is somewhere in the C, C+ range.. but man, this is it, I doubt Woody extends him and Saleh, but you never know with that guy.I love the takes on Cook today by the media today. He's got fresh legs. Misused by the Jets. Didn't use this weapon. LMAO.
Cook is cooked. People that are saying that the Jets never gave him a chance to get in rhythm obviously didn't watch him. Dude is like carrying a piano on his back slow. He makes Le'Veon Bell look like Wile E Coyote and Roadrunner shooting through the o-line. Too bad the Jets never gave him 53 carries in a game to get him in a rhythm.
The coaching on this team is disaster. Life TLEF said above, these dopes had Michael Carter taking away precious touches from Hall on third down. Never made sense.
How long before this idiot Hackett realized that he should get the ball in the hands of Hall and Wilson? Then you have Saleh like a mummy not even stepping in and doing something about Hackett. Just keep running the same dumb plays. Long routes when our o-line couldn't protect. No help for the tackles against elite pass rushers. Short WR screens on third and long with midget WRs expected to block for the receiver. I went from like numb all season to complete vitriol.
That is an awful FA class that used a lot of $. 1st rd exit next year should not save this regime
Normally Id agree - but Rodgers in not going to be around for more than a year or 2. They need to at least show that they can be a Super Bowl contender next year or whats the point. If they miss the playoffs I think everyone agrees they should clean house. Gets more complicated if they back into the playoffs with 8 wins and get crushed in WC.1st rd exit next year should not save this regime
Whoa. First-round exit? The playoffs would have me deliriously happy. I think you might want to reconsider your expectations there, Kiddnets. We're lucky if we win eight games next year.

I can see replacing 1 or even 2 starters - but JD is looking at a full revamp of the OL except AVT and Tippman. That is not going to be an easy task

And we might be drafting low (high?) enough that the franchise tackles aren't going to make it to us.
But we'll be in a great spot to get that DT that Saleh wants
Agreed - a defensive minded HC should not need all these top picks to run a defense. That McDonald pick really bothers me when the O is so awfulBut we'll be in a great spot to get that DT that Saleh wants
Some of us thought that would happen when they hired a defensive coordinator. We (well, I did) argued that his focus would be on the defensive line given that he's a former defensive line coach. And voila! Will McDonald IV!
I don't know who made Pro Bowl at RB and didn't think about who missed till I saw that Breece got snubbed. That's BS. He's amazing.
Hall did a ton of work in the passing game and was much more effective there than running the football, largely because of his offensive line. He finished with PFF's highest overall receiving grade among RBs. That said, he graded out as the 27th best rusher. I know my buddy RAGE loves PFF grades to no end, so I figure this will edify his anger at Hall not being selected.
But yeah, the league rewards rushing prowess more than anything when it comes to RBs, so Hall isn't going to be there.
I'm mildly surprised Cook is there over Pacheco.
Henry I get.
Breece is better Cook (both of them), Pacheco, and Henry. Not prime Henry, but the carcass from this year. I love Pacheco's toughness, but he runs like a violent headless chicken on pcp (maybe brainless the way he straps in that helmet, but damn he loves how those long braids look in the mirror).
He started coming on in the second half of the season, and they're likely to lose Huff. Don't get me wrong, OL or WR should have been the way to go - but the Jets defense is built around having a strong pass rush, so the pick wasn't a total bust, assuming he builds on this year.Throw in the head scratching seldom used 1st rd pick and it was horrific.

You don't have to tell me. I think Breece is second only to McCaffrey in the NFL right now. PFF loves them some Achane, but let's see him hold up for more than three games before we throw him in the mix of AFC rushers.
I love Mostert. Have been a believer since that Green Bay NFCCG. But Breece is better.
That said, Breece didn't put up the raw numbers rushing to get into the Pro Bowl, it would seem. He had barely over 800 yards to finish in 22nd in the NFL so far. Not gonna get it done. Cook has over a thousand, as does Henry, as does Mostert.
Every team is one QB injury away from a 4-7 win season.. we need a viable backup in the worst wayGets more complicated if they back into the playoffs with 8 wins and get crushed in WC.
Nobody is getting into the playoffs with eight wins in the AFC next year if you ask me. Conference is loaded.
But we're hashing out details when your general premise is likely correct. If they get in the playoffs and are one-and-done, they probably don't run it back a third year.
If they franchise Huff and can trade him for a premium pick that would help, Agree that its too early to call him a bust but I think a Defensive HC like Saleh should scheme a pass rush and give the depleted O some help. Especially with a 2 yr window.
The SF defense was based on having four great pass rushers getting pressure with very little blitzing. Obviously it doesn't take a defesive genius to come up with a scheme like that - but when you can pull it off you get the best of both worlds.I think a Defensive HC like Saleh should scheme a pass rush
They did literally that with the undrafted Bryce Huff! This was also one of my huge beefs with the Bowels-McCrapgnon error.....not one but TWO top 40 picks on SAFETIES and our HC was a freakin' SECONDARY COACH! How many regimes have to continually mismanage the high pick assets we are constantly gifted due to this inferior on field product? If they franchise Huff and can trade him for a premium pick that would help, Agree that its too early to call him a bust but I think a Defensive HC like Saleh should scheme a pass rush and give the depleted O some help. Gotta figure this year they go all in on helping the O.
