Celtics are softer than baby ****
:coffee:
That's the defending champion Celtics there, sport.

Tatum is really, really good and all of the haters that have trashed him through the years can suck it. The man is on a mission and playing like a superstar. He's bullying bullies, playing injured and carrying the team while Brown is sucking it up.

So what does Milwaukee do now? So many franchises in hell. Dame is dead, no picks they control, no good young players, I don’t have a clue what they do next.

Seems like their best bet is to get some future picks/prospects for Giannis and start the process. Same thing PHX needs to do with Booker and Durant.

But they don’t control their picks so bottoming out is rather pointless. You trade Giannis somewhere and those picks are going to be in the 20s. Absolute hell.

Fair point. I was thinking like Brooklyn (and possibly PHX) with Houston they'd target a team who holds their picks but it's probably more spread out amongst teams. I guess this is the price you pay for trading away all your future picks for immediate gratification. It's been a trend in recent years that we have yet to see the fall out from.

But if they don't start now and they keep Giannis for three or four more year, they will be four years behind on the rebuild plus they will get less for an older Giannis.

Leave it up to Giannis.

If he wants to stay, work around the edges as best they can. They will still sell tickets and make the playoffs if Giannis stays healthy.

If he asks out, prioritize young players with potential who can help immediately in addition to picks. Who knows what could happen. OKC got SGA plus picks for Paul George. There is always a chance they strike gold.

Giannis is still good enough to be the best player on a championship team and that window has several more years of being open. That's what you hope for in a rebuild, so why roll the dice when you already have the key ingredient?

They have to just build around him, IMO. Do the best you can with what you have. They've already won a championship with him and have been a playoff team every year since. Not sure they are in the same hell as Phoenix or Philly.

That's going to be tough with Dame. They owe him like $55 and $58 MM the next two years. Not saying it is impossible, but it will be hard.

The East is the worse conference, but next year, are they going to be better than CLE, BOS, IND, NYK, DET, or ORL? Maybe Orlando and Detroit. Maybe.

I get it, they are handcuffed with their current roster and contracts.

But the best thing you can hope for with a rebuild is to land a Giannis. They've already done that. Going back to square one seems counter-intuitive. I think they should wait out Dame's contract and try a mini-rebuild. Grab some younger free agents with upside and dump everyone but Giannis as soon as they are able.

They need a better coach, though. Someone who can develop talent and not discourage Giannis.

I am a long long time Blazer fan. I am a massive Dame fan. That dude has given me some of my greatest Blazer memories of all time. Love that dude. In fact. I haven't watched an NBA game since they traded him. It still hurts. Unfortunately the Blazers really ran him into the ground and at his age this may be the end for him. I tip my cap and wish him well on his rehab. Love u Dame

Better to have loved then lost than never to have loved at all.

Over the last 8 seasons, MIL has a .671 regular season winning percentage (55 win projection) when Giannis plays and .510 when he doesn't. Their 3 best seasons winning percentage wise when Giannis played was 2019-20 (.810/66 wins), 2018-19 (.778/64 wins), and 2022-23 (.746/61 wins). The season they won the title, they were 40-21 with GA playing (.656/54 wins). In 2023-24, they started to win at a lower clip with Giannis (.616/50 wins and .597/49 wins this year).

Giannis is still playing great, and it's unfortunate for MIL that he's been banged up in the playoffs the past few seasons and/or other big pieces couldn't go either. We'll never know what could have been if guys had stayed healthy. This year, their Top 4 guys in minutes played were all 30+ years old, and if they return the same roster, Portis and Kuzma will both be turning 30 as well. Not sure NBA teams can really plan for, prepare for, and navigate through injuries. Can we really assess how good MIL is when fully healthy? Does their style of play / defense / roster composition give them championship upside if healthy? Maybe, maybe not. But I'm not sure blowing it up would be that easy. It might be in their best interest to keep tweaking the roster and hope for better health (although it might be a risky proposition to expect older players to start getting healthier across a full season).

Al Horford says he's your huckleberry.

Mazzulla is growing on me. In the coach’s interview they air before every game, they tried baiting him and asked him if the Magic were playing too rough or had some dirty plays. He responded that as far as he knew, no one had been arrested and charged with a crime. He said it’s great . . . it’s playoff basketball, deal with it. What did people expect?

well i hope anteater goes to golden state because i like them a lot take that to the bank brohans

As far as extending the Curry runway for a championship that is cool, but if you want the Bucks to get the best return then send him to Houston or OKC.

He's my favorite Blazer player too - I didn't grow up here, so my fandom really starts around 2000 or so. But he's the most exciting player this city has had, IMO. Just a thrilling guy to watch.

I think he's still got game left. The guy is built differently. I can't see him just fading away, he'll fight to get back and he'll fight to get back at a high level.

Kobe was almost exactly the same age as Dame is now when he tore his Achilles. Being a tough, hard worker is going to make a big difference in coming back at all, but the history of old guys tearing their Achilles and being productive players is pretty slim. Even young guys are never the same. Technology and rehab science are always improving, but I think it is probably more likely this effectively ends his career than he bounces back as even a plus starter late next season or the following.

If I'm Milwaukee, I would strongly consider stretching his salary (hitting the cap at $22.5m for the next 5 years) and trying to rebuild on the fly (without trading any future picks) to maximize the next 2-3 years to at least make the Buck a competitive team before blowing it up.

i know but i also want him to personally win a bunch of championships he was great for milwaukee overall and is an all time favorite for me and seems like a san fran kind of guy with how cool he is to others maybe they can get a three or four way trade going where the bucks get picks galore and james poopbeard harden has to work as a roving hotdog vendor and not in a stadium just i mean like up and down the streets around the fiserve just a man and his dogs take that to the bank bromigos

Don't give OKC any ideas. Not sure if the cap would work but I could see them sending MIL 10-15 of their 30 1st round picks :lmao:

I mean they did shoot their first round nfl pick and he’d be teammates with the biggest on court dirt bag in the league but other than that they deserve only the best.

Hartenstein's contract makes dealing for any max contract pretty easy for them with one or two other parts. That's one of the reasons they signed him.

if you cant like steph and steve than there is no saving you and lets not forget that wonderful giardia chocolate at fishermans warf take that to the bank brohans

also for the record here i strongly dislike draymond green that would be hate but i try hard not to hate anyone or anything but boy he comes right up the edge take that to the bank brohans

Cavs in a close one right now 45-17 and Miami hit a 40 footer to end the 1st quarter

I would be more concerned it they weren't up 20 plus on thr 10th best team in the East and 20th best in the entire league.
No all star Garland the last 2 games won by 37 and now up 34 both on the road I don't care who you are playing minus 1 of your starting all stars and you are doing this.

Also if you felt that strong you should bet on the Cavs they were favored by 8.5 not 20.

I really like the Cavs this year and predicted them to go to the finals, but Herro would be the Cavs 5th or 6th best player. This isn't that impressive. I would say the same thing if the Celtics, Knicks, or pretty much any team in the West did the same thing.

Maybe trade Giannis for Green straight up? That way your buddy can play for a championship and you can watch Green play everyday until you like him. Hate is not the way brohan.
