Yikes. Jerruh Jones following the Al Davis owner/GM career path.
Could have drafted Braelon Allen. He went in the 4th round to the Jets, a team already with a top young running back in Breece Hall.We have the worst running game in the league, AND we are the worst defense against the run?
Is that right? Yes? OK, just wanted to confirm.

Everyone knew the Cowboys needed a running back and they didn't even draft one. Big mistake.

Gosh I hope not since I'm forced to start Dowdle this week. Can you maybe predict the following week instead?(Not a Cowboy fan....unbiased observation)
In my humble opinion, this is the week that Dak makes his annual transformation, plays his game (including outside the pocket throwing and scrambling), and looks like a quasi-hall-of-famer for the ROS. They have dug a deep hole, and with the resurgence of the Skins, they may not sneak into the playoffs as a wildcard this season, but the offense will become productive. Dak is an unexplainable enigma....
Zeke being inactive just raised his floor for tomorrow.Zeke not on the gameday roster - disciplinary reasons
He probably spoke up in a meeting and spoke the truth. Jerry's ego didn't like that and threw a fit.
The threads are starting to truly come loose now. In another 3 weeks, we will have reached true 'Dumpster fire' status.
He’s not wrongEveryone see Dak say "We ****ing suck"? Good times.
Classic.Everyone see Dak say "We ****ing suck"? Good times.
Washington fans know this all too well during the Snyder hell years….I almost feel sorry for you Cowboys fans….almostThere's just no way to win when the owner cares more about making money than winning.
Jerry Jones is a carnival barker.

I don’t really agree with this take on Jerry. He obviously wants to win, he’s just too arrogant to hire a real GM and give up control. If Jerry ONLY cared about valuation, he sure as **** wouldn’t have backed up the Brinks truck to pay Dak. Heck, if he only cared about valuation he would see he’s hurting his by being s control freak.Washington fans know this all too well during the Snyder hell years….I almost feel sorry for you Cowboys fans….almostThere's just no way to win when the owner cares more about making money than winning.

Hate to break the news to you, but Josh Harris is another owner who cares more about the teams valuation than he does about winning.

Dak isn’t selling tickets, not anymore. The team is a mess and not really close to contending. Should have let Dak test the open market, traded CeeDee who still can’t run a route, and blown it all up in favor of better years ahead. While I’m on the topic, trade Parsons for a 1st/plus and how does McCarthy still have a job?
Jerry is in over his head as a GM and talent evaluator and it’s getting worse with age. At least Al Davis was known for drafting speed, what’s Jerry known for?
And in the case of Harris, we don’t really know yet and who cares? As long as they’ve got guys like Daniels, it solves both problems.
Don't forget Lamb getting hurt tooSo Dak hurt his hammy?
Great, just great. Super helpful to my Lamb share. And my Ferguson share.
But are they good at drafting? Really? I like Ferguson as a player FWIW, and they got him in the 4th a year before LaPorta. I think you mean Schoonmaker, but I see your point. They might have wanted LaPorta, but they didn't need him. The book is still out on Schoonmaker, but they had other areas of immediate need and Ferguson was fine.I don’t really agree with this take on Jerry. They have drafted very well. Where they get into trouble is when their pick gets taken from them and they panic (Like when they wanted Laporta and took Ferguson,) and they suck at picking defensive tackles( Mazi) Other than that, they’re pretty damn good.
He came back out. Seems like a minor shoulder issue. AC sprain?Don't forget Lamb getting hurt tooSo Dak hurt his hammy?

Anyway, looking through their drafts in recent history, I see a lot of misses and a lot of drafting of incomplete players with flashy and sometimes elite singular traits. These players' weaknesses are quickly exposed by the NFL. They need to be drafting some boring but complete players that can be long term contributors to a winning franchise.
My point is, winning and valuation are not mutually exclusive. All owners want their franchise to be valued at a premium to all others. All owners want to win. All else equal, winning brings higher valuation. Jerry wants to win, but unfortunately his ego gets in the way of hiring someone that can help them get there.I don’t really agree with this take on Jerry. Dak is exactly the type of move an owner worried about valuation does. It's a do anything to be playoff relevant, but not enough to be championship relevant. It's a move to avoid a rebuild.
Harris' Sixers are there right now, hanging on to Embiid even though they know he'll never be healthy enough to win a title. They're clinging to him to keep the team relevant so they can build a stadium downtown.
They just gave Dak $231M guaranteed with 60/year through 2029. You can't put that toothpaste back in the tube as the Browns and Broncos have found out. Dak plus CeeDee are locking up nearly $100M per year. That's a crazy percentage of the cap locked up in a QB that's won nothing, isn't allowed to use his legs, and a WR that can't run a route. But are they good at drafting? Really? I like Ferguson as a player FWIW, and they got him in the 4th a year before LaPorta. I think you mean Schoonmaker, but I see your point. They might have wanted LaPorta, but they didn't need him. Thanks, yeah I meant Shoonmaker.
Everybody has misses but I think they do pretty well at talent evaluation.
This team doomed itself when it let Dak throw for 5000 yards, which were all hollow, then they were forced to pay him.
They need to move on or cut his pay substantially
Should be a good game Eagles v Cowboys this week.
Doubtful, Jerry can't see past his nose, let alone try to plan for what's to come 2 years from now.Rumor is that they're laying down for Arch Manning. This year is over, so have to think they'll try and rebuild the lines in this draft then hope they're in play for Arch in '26. Raiders would probably be dumb enough to take Dak off their hands.
It's the NFL. Cowboys will probably find to win.Should be a good game Eagles v Cowboys this week.
