From a human aspect, I do kind of feel bad for Southgate. The team plays very unattractive soccer but he is not paid to play flowing offense. His job is to advance and he has done that quite well.
Listening to his press conference he is treated like a coach that has failed horribly when in reality, he would be considered a national hero in probably 95% of the soccer playing world with results like his.
