I have been way clear of the cut every week, but I am in trouble this week. I have 5 WR's hurt. I have a 0 in my 2nd WR spot but have Pickens tonight. I am right at teh cut line currently. I figure it will move a lot tonight, but haven't been paying much attention to how much they have moved on Monday this year.

Yeah ... I think we are all looking out for the Turk this week .... :scared:

My QB scores were horrible ... 12.0 vs 12.15

Still worried . how much it could move up from 118.3 .. I am sitting at 135.75 and have Dallas TE Jake from State Farm (-5.1)
You are a 99.9% lock.
I was looking at past years Week 9 Cut line... For Reference, 2024 Cut line was 149.8 so I guess I expected the MNF game to raise it > 12 pts

But I guess others are more concerned than I ... but we all maintain that anxiety!

Cruising and done at 173.3 (currently 129th but will drop a bit after MNF)

I believe this is the best team I've ever had in this thing. I made it to week 11 once before but had some close calls before that. So far my closest to the cut line was 17 pts and you could take any player off my team and I'd still be alive so the depth is there. I am very confident in my teams survivability and have an outside chance for big scores when the time comes. Averaging 171 a week with a high point of 213 in week 5.

Keys for my team -
  • QBs have been stellar (Darnold is my #1 with Rodgers & Tua chipping in...Cam Ward has yet to payoff)
  • RBs have been weak but are coming on. Actually contributed a couple of flex scores lately and had 3 RB's break double digits this week
  • WRs were incredible early but cooled off a bit. Missing Pearsall and Egbuka hasn't counted in 4 weeks. JSN has counted every week so haven't struggled really, but have contributed fewer flex scores lately from this once dominant group early in the season. I expect they will rebound with some big weeks for the rest of the season.
  • TEs are solid. Not sure if the Daniels injury will hurt Ertz going forward, but I have 4 viable TE's each week (Ferguson finally counted this week).
  • PKs - I have a 3 man team still alive and kicking, but its been a 2-man show with Boswell & Grupe. Still waiting for Tyler Loop to count.
  • TDs - quantity over quality. 4x $3 options avg 8.7/week. Double digits 4 out of 9 weeks and lowest score was a 3.

I'm at 146 and should be safe, I would think. Nobody going tonight. My highest non-QB was Josh Downs with 17.7 pts, which was huge because I had three of my top WR's do nothing (Egbuka on a bye, Pearsall still OUT, and Odunze with a goose egg). Needless to say, it was a total team effort, with guys like Downs, TreVeyon Henderson (10.7), and Bateman (9.3) stepping up and contributing for a change. The MVP of the week, though, was GENO SMITH! Just when I thought he couldn't be of any less value in this contest, he brought it this week with a whopping 38.1 points! And, I've gone from 2 of my 3 kickers (Gano and Santos) being OUT/IR two weeks ago to having all three (knock on wood) healthy for the first time since Week 3. Santos scored for the second week in a row with 11.6.

On a somewhat negative note, my top scoring defense this week was LVR with 3 (my other is NE who had 1 pt). Yikes.

There aren't enough horses running tonight to move the line.

Arizona - no QB, no RB, MHJ (39), Wilson (8), Jones (0), McBride (109)

Dallas - Dak (612), Blue (75), JaVonte (112), CD (114), Pickens (601), Turpin (92), Ferguson (123), Schoon (11), Audrey (182), Ryland (46)

1640 advance. Average team has one player going tonight, however most of them have a score to replace before counting. You have a 17.4 point cushion. To get a 20 point move you need a very high scoring game and lots of players in play. The former could happen, but the later is just not in place.

I will advance to week 10 on the strength of Joe Flacco's 45.4 points. Interestingly enough, I would not have chosen him if I knew he would have a week 10 bye, coinciding with my top QB, Patrick Mahomes. I will need Tua to step up next week, which seems unlikely given the Fins are playing Buffalo.

Barring that I will need some big games from Bijan Robinson, King Henry, JSN, and Tyler Warren. Reappearances of the early season E. Egbuka and R. Pearsall would also be appreciated!

I am in the same boat .. Need Tua to go all out and Pearsall to re-appear! Week 10 bye issues will separate many from their path to fame & glory!

I dunno, 600+ teams with Dak and 600+ teams with Pickens feel like big numbers when only 1640 advance, seems like those two alone could move the line a fair bit.

I need the line to go up by less than 9.2 points to advance... going to be stressful watching the cutline creep up all night...

133.10

Losing Evans and now Kraft, may as well just be a 133.2 cut line this week. Yes I know a 15 point swing on MNF isn't likely, but never know if it's a high-scoring game.

218 of those Dak teams already have 25 pts on the board. At least another 100 have around 20ish+.

If you are a few points above the cut line, with no players left, you got to love an uneventful Monday night game, with the cut line basically frozen were it was last night.
:)

Notes From Contest Rules:
- In weeks 1--14, the cut is based on scores from the current week only. Scores reset each week.

- Specifically, the cut will be determined as in the following example. Suppose it is week 7 and there are 2,394 entries at the beginning of the week. Because the cut percentage is 20% for that week, 2394 will be multiplied by 0.80 and the resulting number, if not an integer, will be rounded UP to the next greatest integer. In this case, 2394 * 0.8 = 1915.2. We round up to 1916. The entry with the 1916th-highest score, and all entries with an equal or greater score, will move to the next round.

- if fewer than 225 participants remain after week 14, then prizes will be awarded to eliminated participants according to highest score in week 14. If prizes are still unawarded after that, then highest score in week 13, and so on.

Good luck in week 10!

I think week 10 is going to be my downfall. My projected starters per early FBG rankings:

:sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick:
QB - Geno Smith at DEN - My only option, and he has a terrible matchup. I have to pray for 20 points
RB1 - Derrick Henry at MIN - Double digits 3 straight weeks. Would love a repeat of week 1 (30.7 pts)
RB2 - Woody Marks vs JAC - His only decent games have come when he's catching passes, otherwise I expect 5 pts max
WR1 - Stefon Diggs at TB - A high target game would be nice, as he's lucked out the last few weeks with a TD
WR2 - Emeka Egbuka vs NE - Not a great team to be facing when I really need him, but he should get peppered
TE - Dallas Goedert at GB - Always seems to be questionable, but has only missed one game this year
Flex1 - Jacory Croskey-Merritt vs DET - I have lost faith in him. 1 great game, 1 good game, and 7 single-digit games
Flex2 - Dalton Kincaid at MIA - Limited catches, but the yardage has been great. A very impressive 15.2 yards per catch
PK - Tyler Loop at MIN - I have 3 active kickers, so I'll take anything I can get. Loop indoors is nice
TD - Los Angeles Chargers vs PIT - Averaging under 5 pts a game, so my money is actually on NE to outscore them vs TB
:sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick::sick:

Bench
QB - none
RB - RJ Harvey vs LV - Between 5 and 8 touches in all but one game
WR - Terry McLaurin vs DET - Not officially ruled OUT yet, but it's coming
WR - Matthew Golden vs PHI - Questionable with shoulder injury, but targets are just not there
WR - Jalen Coker vs NO - Is it fair to call a $3 player a bust? Still hanging onto hope
WR - Kayshon Boutte at TB - Questionable with a hamstring
WR - Jahan Dotson at GB - 1 catch or less in his last 7 games, so it's TD or nada
TE - Pat Freiermuth at LAC - Only 1 great game, because a lack of targets
PK - Chris Boswell at LAC - He's been my kicking stud so far (used 6 times)
PK - Daniel Carlson at DEN - Good luck getting any FG attempts vs DEN
TD - New England Patriots at TB - My only D with a double digit game (2 of them)

Bye
QB - Dak Prescott
RB - Chase Brown
WR - George Pickens
TD - Kansas City Chiefs

I have been way clear of the cut every week, but I am in trouble this week. I have 5 WR's hurt. I have a 0 in my 2nd WR spot but have Pickens tonight. I am right at teh cut line currently. I figure it will move a lot tonight, but haven't been paying much attention to how much they have moved on Monday this year.
Made it. Hopefully I get some WR's back this week.

I have now been the high score for the badges and the low score... that's all the excitement I need. I'd love to just clear the cutline by 20+ from here on out... but hey, on to week 10!!

I'll be missing Chase Brown, Ridley, Ayomanor, and KC Defense this week. With Braelon Allen out, I will only have Bijan, Chubb, and Keaton Mitchell... not sure I'm going to have much of a usable RB2 score...

Very happy to have survived Egbuka's bye. Having him back will be huge, and hopefully Odunze doesn't get blanked again.

Losing Kraft is definitely my biggest injury so far. I didn't roster 4 TEs this year like I normally do, so I've only got Hockenson and Warren left. Warren will be on bye next week, so I'll be stuck with whatever Hock gives me.

Boswell and Little have been a great duo, no notes guys, keep it up.

My defenses haven't done much (only 2 weeks with double digits so far), and I'm stuck with whatever ATL gives me against Indy... so that might be 0.

161 - still standing
Again it was Stafford, Pittman, Kincaid, Chase Brown
Douglas getting em 20 and the Falcons scraping 10, Santos 11, those were what pushed me up over 150 this week

Stafford already had his Bye but he can't keep 30-35+ up every week.
My RBs are pretty much Chase Brown and Woody Marks at this point, Hubbard has become such a waste, I cut him in redraft leagues this past week.
Wish I would have grabbed Dowdle if I could go back in time.

Get Egbuka back this week, for as many WRs as I took, several are down for the count like Pearsall who seems like he's never playing again this season, Coleman, Kupp and Kirk offer nothing
But still standing for the moment, bottom falling out week is coming

The smoke and mirrors show continues. Thank God Puka came back, as he was the difference between advancing and being hacked to pieces by that guy with the scythe.

With Rome doing a disappearing act and Egbuka hanging out in Columbus watching PSU get their asses handed to them, my second WR was Pat Bryant and his 4 points. I also got a whopping 4 points from my 3 TEs.

Strategy going in was to secure one stud at each of the three major positions (Josh Allen, CMC, and Puka), fill in with some $10-15 guys until the money ran out, then grab a couple of lottery picks at WR. Needless to say, I'm not good at the lottery. Although Drake Maye has been a nice surprise as a backup QB, and his scores have counted four times for me (including 29 points on Allen's bye week).

I feel like/hope this week's losses aren't killers.

Javonte - CMC, Warren, Mason, and Bill make this very survivable
Chig - With Strange out another week, this leaves me with only Engram at TE.
Slye - Bos and Grupe playing.
KC D - not excited about ATL and MIA, who have averaged 2.8 ppw for the last four weeks.

My only dead weights are Jimmy G and Kyle Williams.

Can someone post last years weekly cutoff scores? Sorry I've skimmed :D

Scary Past Cut lines
2024 Week 9 (145.55) & 11 (152.95) with Byes 2 & 4 respectively

Week 10 will be a struggle ...
On Bye for Me: Mahomes, Pollard, Jake Ferg and PK McPherson!
PK McPherson has averaged > 8 pts per week!

Maybe Odunze will return to norm and Pearsall's return to the game?

I'm hoping to see Pearsall return and play in week 10, as I'm sure many others are.
I had 3 players get injured in week 9 and at this point I'm not sure if any of them will play in week 10,
so a Pearsall return would be a great turn of events.

Not looking good for me. Sitting at 105.5 with just Trey McBride (-0) left. So I'll need him to score 13 plus the MNF line movement.

Mediocre week from almost everyone on my roster. Shaheed (11.8) is my only flexable player who reached double digits, and my highest scoring player besides the QB. I've had some weeks where my whole starting lineup was in double digits.
Missed it by 1.05 pts, 124.50-125.55. McBride did enough so that my head was temporarily above water when he caught a pass early in the 4th quarter, but the waterline kept rising.

0 of the 30 players on my roster had their highest scoring game of the season this week (unless you count Brandon Aiyuk matching his season-high score of 0). Only 5 players managed to outscore their season-long average (in games where they scored >0): my kicker (Santos, 11.6), my defense (ATL, 10.0), my quarterback (Herbert, 35.2), my backup quarterback (Allen, 33.55), and my top running back (Bhayshul Tuten, 9.1).

Somehow still 759 of us left waiting on Pearsall

I dont think I would enjoy being an NFL gm with all the associated hand-wringing about players' future availability. Summarizing the scary stuff (and glossing over some WR byes)....

Week 10
limited to 3 available RBs with Brown on bye - King Henry, Montgomery, Bill (who's shelf life may have expired already)
permanent and temporary injuries in the WR pool Evans (out), Golden (tbd), Kupp (out), Pearsall (tbd) leaving only Diggs, Kirk and Allen confidently available
all 3 QBs and all 3 TEs available (a blessing) - Jones, Love, Donald; Warren, Goedert, Freiermuth...so there is some concern in Week 10 but less than....

Week 11
Daniel Jones and Tyler Warren on bye...probably the biggest threat to me making the finals as this duo has been consistently giving me 40-50 points a week
I have committees at these two positions but there's no room for error at WR and RB so this bye is sketching me out.

Week 14
Diggs and Pearsall on bye...may be ok if Kupp and Golden join Kirk and Allen as available (though only Allen has been a reliable points producer)
