Actions/trends that need to be retired immediately (1 Viewer)

Employees in the workplace that leave their annoying cell phone ring tones turned up full blast, leave their desks, then get several back to back calls, leaving it to blare away in their absence. Yea, I'm looking at you new guy.

 
People looking for reasons to get offended. Example: Gap pulled an ad that had a taller light skinned child resting her arm on a darker skinned kid, and some people complained, saying the tall kid was being racist by treating the shorter kid like furniture, or something like that. That wasn't racism, it was because the kid was short! They ran an ad last year with the skin colors of the kids reversed, and nobody said a thing.

There are terrible things going on in the world, people! Get offended by those things and put a stop to those, not an ad that suddenly made you clutch your pearls for no real reason!

 
Hold music that gets interrupted occasion by a recorded voice " thank you for your patience blah blah..."  For a second you think that somebody is picking up...l

We have a guy like this.... Older guy. Mission Impossible Ring tone at 150db. Leaves it at his desk in the office adjacent to mine. Spends most of his time working in another room. Can't hear it because he's half deaf. 

Rings 5-10x a day on average.

Walking around, carrying your laptop while taking a conference call on your ear buds plugged into your cell phone.

We get it, chump.  You're important.   You also have a desk.  Go sit your ### down.

 
Spotify ads have to be one of the dumbest things going - trying to sell me Taylor Swift (or some such) between songs by geek bands that no one listens to but me.

Keys in one pocket...phone in another.

Why would I put a nice pair of sunglasses in my pocket to run into the store for 10 minutes.

I get it if you are talking about people going somewhere indoors for a while and keeping them on their head for a couple hours or something...but its the easiest place for them if Im just running in somewhere.

 
Who would out their sunglasses in their pocket? That's weird. I assume you have gas station sunglasses. That's fine, but I doubt anyone with a nice pair of glasses is putting them in their pocket. 

 
Also, re: sunglasses.... mostly a shirt collar hanger type of guy, as I wouldn't want my shades to eff up my sweet 'do.... but if I'm wearing a hat, I'll put them on top of said hat if I'm going in somewhere real quick-like.  Never, ever put them in a pocket.  That is recipe for disaster, homie. 

 
I'm late to the party, but has any one mentioned the sports club beggers that stand outside Sam's club?  "Hi, would you like to save my upper middle class parents from supporting their own child's activities by donating money so I can take a luxury trip to play softball in Hilton Head for a week?"

How about you go tell your parents to go eff themselves for not funding this unnecessary elective on their own and then teaching you that it's OK to beg for money in front of the store like a drunken panhandler.

Dudes that make me want a Lunk Alarm installed. Guy was 6'3" and likely weighed about 98 pounds. Apparently felt that making loud obnoxious sounds every time he lifted the nearly empty bar over his head would make folks mistake him for Arnold. The gym's PTs were just looking at him and kind of laughing amongst themselves.

I like to lie to these people/kids.  "Oh you guys are the Northwest Diamond Dawgz?  Shoot, my kid/nephew plays for the Southwest BigBallerz.  Wish I could help."
