Woman sues Ellen DeGeneres for intentionally mispronouncing her name

A Warner Robins woman's federal lawsuit says TV talk show host Ellen DeGeneres humiliated her by mispronouncing her name and turning it into a breast joke.

Titi Pierce, who said she's a Robins Air Force Base engineer and a real-estate agent, filed the lawsuit Thursday in U.S. District Court in Macon.

According her lawsuit, her first name is pronounced, "Tee Tee," "as grammar dictates." She says it's a Nigerian name, meaning "flower."

But according to the lawsuit, on Feb. 22, DeGeneres used a picture of Pierce's real-estate sign, featuring her name, in a comedy segment titled, "What's Wrong With These Ads.... and These Signs?"

DeGeneres read her name as "titty Pierce," the lawsuit says, causing "immediate ridicule and raucous laughter" from the audience.

Comedy is protected free speech.  What crappy lawyer took that case?
I wonder if posting a person's cell number on tv is protected free speech- even if it's on a publicly posted sign? that's a question- not a snarky comment.

To you, the names shout "LOOK AT ME....I'M BEING ORIGINAL!!!!

To everyone else it says "HOLY CRAP....THAT POOR KID!!!!

Names I've heard recently:

I thought Jefferson Darcy was cool.

Well.....maybe not cool, but I liked him.  Jefferson isn't so bad for a first name.

The last known living 9/11 search dog has died in a Houston suburb at age 16.

Bretagne (BRIHT'-nee), a golden retriever, was euthanized Monday at a veterinary clinic in the Houston suburb of Cypress, according to a statement from the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service.

Doesn't matter if "most people" can't pronounce the dog's name. Actually, I think that's the point. IIRC, police dogs are trained in foreign languages so that civilians (and bad guys) won't know the commands.
She wasn't a police dog.  She was in the Cy-Fair Volunteer Fire Department as a Search and Rescue dog.

Went to my 7 year old nephews baseball game last night, maybe not as bad as some of the names in here, but a boy on the other team name was Journey.

His mom would start cheering & screaming his name while all the parents on my nephews team looked around at each other like WTH?

Liked this quote to the picture...

"Miss, you spelled my child's name wrong." "No I didn't. YOU did."

We have a staff member here named Jesekah. Please.

You are not special. You're not a beautiful and unique snowflake. You're the same decaying organic matter as everything else. We're all part of the same compost heap. We're all singing, all dancing crap of the world.

"not that bad"

Cayden is spelled a little strange compared to what I've seen (Caden), but seems like it's been a pretty common name at this point, along with the rest of the Aeden, Jayden, Brayden, Caden, etc family.

the rest of those names are a little more off the beaten path... although I ####### love VanHelsing
