Cold Pizza just said Broncos did trade with Texans (1 Viewer)

Now according to KFFLTexans | No deals completed yetFri, 27 Apr 2007 12:27:15 -0700Updating ongoing reports, ESPN's John Clayton reports a trade between the Houston Texans and any other team will not happen Friday, April 27. If anything is going to happen, it would take place during the NFL Draft Saturday, April 28.---So WHOOOOOOOO knows....
:wub:Broncos still want Calvin... Lions would want Willis... :excited:

LOL...Please change the title of the thread to "Texans about to make another boneheaded draft day move"
Dont see how this is a bad move for the Texans. They need help at alot of positions and they're lacking a second round pick. They're not going to trade unless the player they really want isnt on the board or the offer is great. The Mario pick notwithstanding, the Texans had a very good draft last year. DROY, starting TE and 2 starters on the Oline. Unless Peterson falls, I love this move for the Texans.

MLive.com's Tom Kowalski reports the Broncos have traded up to No. 10.

The Texans currently own the tenth pick in the draft. It's believed the Broncos are high on Ole Miss MLB Patrick Willis, but Kowalski says the team is trying to make a play for the No. 2 pick and Calvin Johnson. This deal may not be announced as official until draft day.

per Lance's blog...his comments in bold
Also, do you see the Texans holding off on any potential trade until they're on the clock tomorrow? I would want to see who's on the board at #10 before pulling the trigger on a trade down. They might be suprised by someone who drops unexepectedly.

The Texans can't make a trade until they are either on the clock or until the players they would draft at 10 are off the board. That doesn't mean that they won't get a deal done to move back, but if the right player is there, they may sit still and take him. Peterson and Landry are the names I'm hearing from people outside the organization who are said to have some insight into what the Texans are looking for so take it for what it is worth.

Just asking... what are the Broncos going to give in order to move up from 1.10 to 1.02 to grab CJ2 (are they sure the Raiders are not taking him and are looking at Quinn/Russell?)... Are the Lions eyeing Adams and think he'll be there at 1.10 - or is Willis the guy they want? or else?

Jay Cutler and the #10 pick??

I wonder if the rights to Plummer will be "thrown in" here for Kubiak

IIRC Kubiak thought Plummer would make a good QB coach someday. Backup Schaub for a year, teach him the system, then become coach??????

Really? I thought they were rescinded back to Denver....sure was confusing back then
They were in the original trade, but then there was a second trade which sent Plummer to TB. If he stays retired TB doesn't give up much (or anything, forget the exact details).
