I realize the FOX Colorado report isn't confirmed by the team, but IF LJ is in fact out for the season with a broken foot, where exactly do Priest & Kolby Smith now fit in in the top 250 forward?

Hi Lambert,David's working on this now. It's a tough call as nothing is official yet but I think even in the best case, it's going to be at least 2 weeks for LJ.We'll give it our best shot to see where Holmes and Smith shake out. J
It's certainly true that after this weekend we'll know a lot more ... but the fact is that some of us may be making trades/pickups NOW before this weekend's games and are trying to make the best call they can on limited information. If you were thinking about picking up Priest, for example, he will be gone way before next week's game starts, so it's helpful to determine just how valuable you think he will be.

Thanks a lot, Joe! I know nothing is official yet, but I picked up Priest off waivers and believe it or not have received trade inquiries already, so any thoughts you guys might have as to his hypothetical value assuming LJ is done for the year would be greatly appreciated.

I guess. I just dont put too much stock into these types of things. Im not sure if Michael Bennett ever made it on the top 250, but I'm sure he isnt on there now. When he was traded, half the "experts" were saying pick him up or trade for him, he will be a solid 15 carry guy. Turns out he shouldnt even be owned now with Pittman coming back.

If your point is that the experts can be wrong, that's certainly true about everything, from weekly rankings to any other commentary. No one is infallible, not you, not me, and not the FBG experts either. Having said that, I (and a lot of the rest of us here) place a lot of value on the views of the FBG staff, because, while they can make huge mistakes just like the rest of us, we believe that they make a whole lot more good calls than bad calls. If you have a professional investment advisor who has an excellent track record, you likely place significant value in their stock recommendations, despite the fact that there's no guarantee that any particular recommendation won't be a dud.
